Rethinking Eschatology: Dominionists on the Move

Good article today over at Herescope, on what’s being referred to as the Marketplace Dominionist movement. (I always knew it as just Dominion teaching)- Rethinking Eschatology: Dominionists on the Move.

Does it matter what we believe about the “end times?” It does only if we have to live through them. Is cultural restoration through the workplace inconsistent with Matthew 24 and the book of Revelation? If the Great Tribulation is in our future, why does it matter what happens in the marketplace?

the herescope blog posted a link to reclaiming the 7 mountains, and I thought of the 7 mountains that the woman sitteth. (Rev 17:9). Many believe the woman is a symbol of the apostate church of the last days.

I went over to herescope to read the post you linked to. Wow!!! What an eye opener.

Lee, you may be onto something there.

Have you heard of the seven chakras which can represent the seven mansions (the interior castle, St Teresa Avila) of the heart. I wonder if this will all link up to the contemplative spheres in someway?

Well you guys have made me want to go read through it more closely…the night i posted it here i didn’t go to all the links.

Have you heard of the seven chakras which can represent the seven mansions (the interior castle, St Teresa Avila) of the heart

No..i haven’t heard of that…either fill us in here or make a post on it over on your blog! (i get your feeds) You have me curious now.

Firstly let me just say that I am not sure if there is a connection… yet!

But I made a post called… Seven Chakras – The Interior Castle

    You can find that here:

    http://livingjourney.wordpress.com/2007/02/13/seven-chakras-the-interior-castle/

but also I have just found out that “Johnny Enlow” who is one of the speakers for this 7 mountain thing has some mp3’s called…

The Seven Thrones of Your Soul Part 1 and 2
7 Steps into the Heart of God

    you can find them here:

    http://www.daystaratlanta.org/sermonaudio.html

The titles to these mp3’s sound a little too much like the seven mansion/interior castle which can be linked up with the seven chakras according to Carolyn Myss. Ken Wilber says of Caroly Myss book called Entering the Castle: An Inner Path to God and Your Soul …

Entering the Castle is many things: a guide to the life and times of St. Teresa of Avila, the extraordinary 16th-century saint and contemplative master; a guide to her brilliant meditation text, The Interior Castle; and, last but certainly not least, a guide to your own soul—a beautiful, tender, radiant, caring, loving, and authentic guide to the territory of your very own soul…

… Try the seven-step interior experiment given so exquisitely by St. Teresa of Avila, and see for yourself. It’s an interior scientific experiment in almost every sense, so try it and find out for yourself. For this experiment, we are now incredibly fortunate to have Entering the Castle as well, fully based on St. Teresa’s seven interior mansions…
    -Ken Wilber (http://www.kenwilber.com/blog/show/133)

This is what St Teresa Avila says of the seven mansions of the heart….

“a castle made of a single diamond . . . in which there are many rooms, just as in Heaven there are many mansions.” She describes the various rooms of this castle — the degrees of purgation and continual strife — through which the soul in its quest for perfection must pass before reaching the innermost chamber, the place of complete transfiguration and communion with God. -catholicfirst.com

I have just written a post which I have pinged back to here, and it has some really insightful words from Peter Wagner.

Like I said, I am not sure if there is a connection ( I don’t doubt that as time goes on that there will be some sort of connection as they can twist this way and that to make anything fit for a unified new age kingdom).

I am only on dial up speed at the moment and have only just listened to a part of one of the mp3’s … the one entitled ….

Hermon – The angel of Unity.

He says that there has been a vision given to someone of this certain angel called Hermon, and it is the angel of unity. He uses the scripture psalm 133:3…

Psa 133:3 like the dew of Hermon coming down on the mountains of Zion; for there Jehovah commanded the blessing: life till everlasting.

This thing is bigger than we know… Wagner even says this…

the Zion Project will be engaged during the last three weeks of August in high-level scientific experiments with the very innovative technology that he is developing for the kingdom.

This high level scientific experiment is something to do with wealth distribution….

Zion Apostolic Council. This is a wealth distribution infrastructure similar to The Hamilton Group. However, it is set up to handle the wealth generated by only one enterprise, namely the Zion Project founded by Rod Neal of Cincinnati, Ohio. Rod is very close to releasing some very innovative and disruptive technology which has the potential of making permanent changes in the lifestyle of the human race. He has asked me to form an apostolic council of 48 apostles who will be responsible for distributing the forthcoming wealth and also to serve them as Presiding Apostle.

If you want the links see my latest post which I have pinged back to this post.

    I’m tired now… I hope this makes sense, I need a coffee I think :)

    In Christ

Oh yeah John Enlow also says that angels have been photographed as orbs of light… Hermon is an orb!

    AHA! You’ve been busy!

I’ll be checking it out over there too–and listening to the audio. Will probably be tomorrow [its 2am here] but it sounds INTERESTING!

You’re right though, all this stuff is like a many piece puzzle which satan is laying out now to assemble together. When it happens i believe it will come together very quickly.

I’ll post more after i get to go over it and listen…

I just finished listening to the video/audio clips in the original post at herescope; HERE.

    What a bunch of ca-ca..

The Dominionist philosophy behind the Reclaiming 7 Mountains conference literally has to do with taking over governments and nations:

When God called the people of Israel out of Egypt to form a new nation in the Promised Land, He told them that they would be the head, not the tail, if they obeyed the commands of the Lord. He told them to divide the land into 7 parts (Joshua 18:5). They would also have to displace 7 enemies that currently resided in the Promised Land. “This is how you will know that the living God is among you and that he will certainly drive out 7 enemies before you including the Canaanites, Hittites, Hivites, Perizzites, Girgashites, Amorites, and the Jebusites (Joshua 3:10).

Have you noticed a pattern yet — 7 mountains, 7 parts of land, and 7 enemies that needed to be displaced?

There is a graphic representation in this Dominionism with the mystical artwork coinciding with the conference promotion which is said to help you “cast the vision of shaping our culture.”

    I agree…

I’ll be checking out now the clips you posted …..

This site is devoted to sharing quotes from Full Preterists to demonstrate the many errors and consequences of this system of interpreting bible prophecy.

Please check it out when you have time.

    Thanks for the link!

Full Preterists are just as much in error as extreme dispensationalists…

Then, as in the above message we have the Dominionists..

That’s only 3 of the extreme groups who are promoting false teaching today…

we need a score card to keep up…
