“EXTREME” and Dangerous Teachings..
This is so extreme I find myself hesitant to even mention it, for surely no Christian could believe its true. But this lady has a huge following, so warn I will because of its grave danger.
- Did you know you, if a Christian, have a set of ‘invisible wings’?
- Have you been one of the ignorant, like me, who thought this scripture was about waiting upon God, who through his Holy Spirit would renew our strength?
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
Well shame on us! We missed a ‘hidden truth’…one which tells us we will actually mount up with those invisible Eagle wings we possess, and be able to fly!
I laugh, but its really no laughing matter.
This evening I watched and listened to a video which teaches Christians about our ability to fly: talk about extreme false teaching, this takes the cake.
From Extreme Prophetic with Patrica King: Transport in the Spirit Part 4. If you didn’t know, she’s one of the Elijah List crowd.
Folks, this is demonic. Do I think this lady really believes this and has experienced ’something herself? Sure…but its not of God. This so-called ‘transport in the Spirit’ she is talking about on this video is nothing more then a demoniacally inspired delusion.
Astral Projection, soul travel, or ‘flying’ is an occult practice, an out of body experience produced through meditation or witchcraft. It is an occult practice and powered by evil spirits. Once a person allows this soulish control over his/her spirit, they can enter the spirit realm to even converse to demons, falsely believing them to be ‘God’s Angels’. We are to be under the guidance and control of the Holy Spirit. These people have yielded their bodies and minds to Satan’s use. This ability is not from God no matter how pleasant or exciting the experience.
Astrology, astral projection (out-of-body experiences), incantations, mediumship (channeling), necromancy, raising psychic power, is all Witchcraft.
An excellent explanation of what out-of- body or astral projection is from Christian Answers for the New Age:
Astral Projection, Astral Travel, Astral Plane – Also known as out-of-body experience (OBE), this is a practice in which a person believes their astral self separates from the body and travels to other physical locations or possibly to an astral realm. Sometimes the person merely hovers above his/her body, especially during medical operations or severe accidents. This experience may be a physiologically caused hallucination. Astral travel is referred to in ancient practices from Egypt and Tibet, and is also written about by some ancient writers such as Plato, Plotinus and others (Guiley, Encyclopedia of the Mystical & Paranormal, 420). The astral self is a major belief of Theosophy (a religion based on Hinduism founded in the late 19th century by occultist Madame Blavatsky) and of other religions that divide a person into various essences and parts. The astral self is part of the etheric body and separates from the body at death. However, many occult teachings hold that the astral self can leave the body during life. The astral self is non-material but can be visible to those in material form, though not always. In many New Age and occult belief systems, such as the cult of Eckankar, it is thought to be good, although potentially dangerous, to practice astral travel, and techniques to do this are taught. Some beliefs posit several planes of reality, such as the causal, spiritual, mental, astral and material, each being a realm through which the soul eventually passes. Teachings somewhat similar to this are in Tibetan Buddhism, as espoused in The Tibetan Book of the Dead, which gives advice on preparing for what will happen after death. Some believe the Akashic Records are part of the astral plane. Astral projection is also used by those calling themselves psychic vampires, who believe they can leave their body and in astral form secretly feed off the spirit or energy of another person. There is no clear evidence that astral projection is real, though there are stories from those who claim to practice it that make it seem as though it is real (including this writer, who experienced astral projection frequently). However, proponents of astral projection do not account for spiritual deception and would dismiss this as a possible explanation.
Some claim that Paul in Second Corinthians 12:1-5 is speaking of an out-of-body or astral experience. However, first of all, Paul says that he does not know if he was in his body or not, so the value of this as an astral or out-of-body experience is totally diminished at the very beginning of the account. Secondly, this is a revelation and experience that God initiated and gave to Paul; Paul did not seek this out or initiate it. Thirdly, Paul did not reveal what he saw because he was not permitted (verse 4). Fourth, this experience or visionary revelation is not the point of the passage, but is used to make another point, that Paul cannot boast of anything because he is a weak man and God keeps Paul humble through his weakness (verses 6-10). There is no endorsement of astral travel in this passage and using it as such is a gross misuse and twisting of the passage.
The advocates of astral travel teach that one can learn to initiate the experience and that it can be of spiritual benefit, but the benefits are measured according to the teachings and standards of those advocating it, and these teachings are all rooted in occult philosophies.

did you read this?
seven prophecies for 2007? it reads like a horrorscope… eesh…
pj. this may sound strange but true, but I can not view these types of video’s without feeling an evil presence coming from the video’s. I have to shut them down and ask the Lord to remove that presence. This holds true for jil austin, king and the other so called prophets from elijah list. But I am thankful for those who can view the video’s and give a report and warn the body of
Christ about these things. So, may the Lord’ blessing and protection be upon you and all who expose this whole prophetic movement for what it truly is.
I just attended an extreme prophetic conference in Phoenix. My aunt and her sister have been attending these conferences. I had never heard of this group of people. And I thought they were off but my aunt and her sister get mad at me when I tell them they don’t sound doctrinal correct. I had never heard of the doctrine of impartation. Steve Swanson’s music sounds rather like rock music to me.
Micey, i hadn’t but thanks for pointing it out. Its just further proof of the real “god” behind this ministry. satan.
When i read this….
it sounded similar to something which was told to me, by a practicing self proclaimed Witch in the 1970’s. She was trying to convince me at the time, of my having a ’spirit guide’…
milinda, i understand. Perhaps a WARNING should have been included in the post, for anyone checking it out.
May God take your words and use them to warn anyone else who checks out this thread–ANYONE, BE CAREFUL! Pray first, and know there is no need to view it to be assured its demonic teaching, just read the few claims she makes in the original post.
I forget that not everyone is as familiar with this garbage as others…
Your views about ECKANKAR are utterly false. Not only is ECKANKAR not a cult but it does not and never has promoted Astral Travel.
Fear of anything other than orthodox Christianity is poor justification for scurrillous and unsubstantiated attacks.
Hello Robert…
Wrong.
From their own handbook:
Not only does it promote and teach ’soul travel’…(shed your other bodies, physical, etheric, astral, mental, and travel to the highest planes of God) which is the same idea behind astral travel or projection, it is also steeped in Eastern mysticism: chanting, mantras, ’spiritual exercises’ which require one ‘open’ themselves up to ‘guides’ etc etc…
From one of their teachings:
It is a new age ‘religion’ or movement, based on old age mysticism.
from Apologetics Index:
Like any other false religion, it is one which seeks God through means outside of Jesus Christ, and the Truth.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.John 14:6
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Matthew 7:13-15
I find that today seems more like what the word of God has warned us regarding:
“each one shall do what is Right in their own eyes”
it is beginning to look better and better the idea of a house church… like long ago.
With churches/buildings/group assemblies turning more and more to these “Twisted Scripture False Teachers and prophets”, it gets harder and harder to be united with them in Christ. And I don’t remember anything in the Word of God telling us to forsake the word so everybody can agree and be united as one.
This is scarey stuff . . .
Oxy’s comment made me laugh . . .
“it is beginning to look better and better the idea of a house church… like long ago.”
I fully agree. seems “church” is the most dangerous place to be these days.
Cathy
Yes, im beginning to see that. lol
What is frightening is that many, MANY, Christians would rather turn a blind eye to false teachings in their Church then leave it. In other words their Church and the friendships forged there are more important then God’s Word.
Its no different then with these groups like The Elijah List or this lady, Patrica King: I find it hard to believe that any rational Christian who has even a small amount of bible knowledge, would think that this ‘flying’ teaching is of God–but, people still flock to hear her and these other false prophets.
The devil is subtle indeed!
Yes he is Carrie…
though some of this stuff is so obviously off the wall, im still amazed that people, Christians in particular, can believe it.
This entire deal about ‘invisible wings’ is one….
you have a nice board at yuku Carrie!
I came across an article last night about Patricia King and her new form of worship that is being promoted on her website. It’s called ekstasis worship. So I googled this type of worship and needless to say I was sleepless in seattle last night.
There are video’s on this type of worship but I didn’t have the heart to view them, nor the desire to watch them. It was enough just to google the information to see the nature of this new form of worship. God have mercy on us. What does one do, other then to pray to the Lord for this type of deception in the church.to be exposed for the darkness that it is
I am just so thankful, so very, very thankful that the Lord brought me out of this whole prophetic movement years ago. And I am so thankful for the grace that the Lord give me for repentance when the whole awful truth of the deception that I had been under was brought to light by the Holy Spirit in my life
I went over and watched a portion of her video on this Millinda…its more of the dangerous “going beyond God’s word” teachings, with the word “ecstasy” thrown in (for good reason, if you’ve ever seen a video clip of what goes on) …
Some guy, DJ Caleb (a DJ who is called the ‘Love Warrior’) started talking about ‘imaging’ ecstasy’ and something about the Club Mysterio, so i turned it off.
its ancient paganism …….
I’ll post the video clip in a new post (believe it or not, its on Godtube)
There is nothing bad in astral travel. The truth is that you astral travel every time you sleep, unconsciously. Those who claim to do it during sleep simply wake up their consciousness while in that real. Do not be naive. The bible cannot liberate you if you take it literally. You have to liberate yourself from it.
Donald that is a sad statement.
Jesus is THE WORD of God; we are not called to ‘liberate’ ourselves from Him, but to be joined with Him, by the Holy Spirit , which is brought about by the new birth (being born again):
When one goes looking outside the truth, which is God’s Word in the bible, or beyond it, it will only lead to giving heed to doctrines of demons. That is what this woman, Patrica King has done.
I was once blind…but now I see.
It must be nice to be able to dismiss these things out of hand with absolutely no knowledge of them at all. A truly enlightened Christian is able to watch, listen and hear alternate views without fear of Satan. Only the ignorant who are vulnerable in their faith have to close the eyes and ears in fear of different possibilities and truths. It is healthy to question and consider everything. If your faith is never tested how can you know you are a true believer?
Do not confuse your weakness with strength.
I am fairly certain this will not get posted as it differs from your obvious beliefs, but figured I would offer a different viewpoint than all of your other “followers”.
Hi Jeremy..
I do have knowledge of these things Jeremy…first hand knowledge.
There are not many truths, there is one. His name is Jesus:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)
1It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.
2I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
3And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell, God knoweth)
4How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
5Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.
6For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.
7And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. 2Cor.12 1-10
“For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.” 2 Corinthians 13:4
“… we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life. Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God…” 2 Corinthians 1:8-9
“…not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—that, as it is written, ‘He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.’” 1 Corinthians 1:26-31
“I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you thetestimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:1-5
I don’t have followers Jeremy….i am a follower a Christ.
God bless…
What first hand experience do you have? NOt questioning that youdo just wondering how you could have first hand experience and still think it is the devil’s work.
Jeremy, i was in my early 30’s when the Holy Spirit of God opened my eyes to the truth; that truth was that Jesus took my sins [and yours] upon himself, died in my [and your] place, and rose again.
I’m 60 years old now, so thats been 28 years ago. Before then, my searching for spiritual truth took me down many paths …all of them always came to an abrupt empty dead-end.
One of those false paths involved new age teachings…among many others.
None of the things i read today coming from the numerous types of false spiritualism and its numerous teachings surprises me, for i either was involved in it at one time, or had friends who were.
What is behind all of it (though they appear as different teachings on the surface) is the same thing: the spirit of antichrist which has been in this world for 2000 years.
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 1 John 2
Any so-called ‘truth’ outside of THE TRUTH (Christ and his word) will always have one common denominator: it will attempt to lead you into a path which takes you away from the one true God to a false one, who will promise ‘anther way’ to attain enlightenment, and even eternal life.
That’s why its satans work…
Dear Jeremy,
I practiced astral-projection as a teenager. As I was attempting to leave my body one day, a demon came at great speed from a great distance and frantically began pounding on my chest, trying to get into my body. I couldn’t speak, but with my heart I called upon the name of Jesus to protect me, and He did.
By the way, the demon was a being of light, not some scary looking dark, ugly, creature. The scripture tells us that Satan appears as an angel of light. He isn’t stupid.
May the Lord open your eyes as you open your heart to Him.
He loves you so. God showed His love for us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Nancy
be-careful how you judge, as you put God in a box.
Hi Greg…
What box would that be my friend?
I agree with the author who wrote:
If you are familiar with the new age teachings of Patrica King, then you are aware of the unbiblical doctrines she promotes. They are extremely dangerous as they promote another gospel which = another Jesus.
Pat King, Randy Clark, Heidi Baker, Rex Burger, JoAnn McFatter, Steve Swanson have all been flying under the radars for years. The problem is that they have global ministries. These teachings are going all over the world, it is not limited to just the US and Canada. It is bad enough that it is being taught here, but in remote areas they will really fall for this in a big way. I am glad to see someone who is onto what they are doing. Don’t stop warning about them. The latter two in the list do it by music and you will usually find them where the others are teaching.
I agree Debra. Though many of us knew some of the names we dismissed them as so extreme or ‘out-there’ that any real danger was unthinkable. Today we’re seeing how wrong we were…
why do you include Heidi Baker? Is it possible she doesnt have these ‘experiences’ and just doesn’t see what the rest of them are?
Dawn,
I can’t speak for Debra but its probably because of Heidi Baker’s close association with all those at the Elijah List.
Dawn,
I have been there at my church and seen all of these folks in action. Of which ruined my church and all the things that were allowed in after Pastor Tom Jones came back from Toronto and started having all these people come in to our church. Including Rick Warren teachings. But Pastor Jones went on to help Randy Clark and be what he claimed “A pastor to pastors”.
Some of those that Heidi and Rolland were big with was the Toronto Blessings and the teachings of it. Randy Clark is a huge fan of Toronto. The stuff that came out of Toronto is not Biblical. Heidi could not get enough of Toronto. Just research Toronto Blessings and you will see a link between all these people and what is being loosed around the world.
What is all this about?? Is Jesus Christ no longer the anchor of our souls and spirits? Is HE not capable to protect HIS children?
Why are people so fearful concerning all “extreme” experiences in the holy spirit? – All these reflections are simply ridicilous …. The devil must be very content watching the body of Christ in such a mess!!!
GOD WAS and IS EXTREME – so what??????
Renate Rossmann
Renate,
its about warning others to not go beyond the truth which is in the bible.
These people are part of the new breed of mystics who have accepted many occult and new age teachings and combined them with the scriptures.
They are false teachers who proclaim a false gospel.
Thus, they have a ‘different’ spirit–
No one here is fearful of these abominable teachings or teachers–why would we be?
But as Christians we have a responsibility to warn others, who may be young in the Lord, to stay away from these heresies.
God bless
Well, to begin with, we are all spiritual seekers. THAT is a good thing. The way one ecounters their truths and experiences is PERSONAL. We are not here to judge how one happens to LEARN or attain self-awareness and/or God-awareness. Remember, we are all souls living in a body.
I have been an active Eckist for over 25 years, yes, I also have been initiated. But I don’t see myself as a cultist, occultist or a demon. I live and work for GOD. All that is here with me now, I chose to have. Whatever blessings are bestowed upon me, I have earned. No one GAVE me anything. I do not beg GOD for anything. One thing I have learned is……….Don’t ask GOD what GOD can do for you, ask GOD what you can do for GOD.
