Rousas John Rushdoony – Father of Dominionism
Before all the presidential/election hoopla I had started researching Rushdoony, Christian Reconstructionism, the Chalcedon Foundation, and the connections with Dominion/Kingdom Now Theology, and Dominionism/Joels Army teachings. Its an interesting topic.
I came across a very informative post on the topic, at The Church of Jesus Christ blog: Rousas John Rushdoony – Father of Dominionism.

This gentlemen is responsible for the line of thinking that permeates Joel’s Army, the Call, and the rest of the Dominionist movement. This is just a starting post – more will follow. It is worrisome because it presents Dominionism as more than a recent heresy, but shows that it was codified and has a base for thought.
Rushdoony’s work has been used by Dominion Theology advocates who attempt to implement a Christian theocracy, a government subject to Biblical law, especially the Torah, in the United States. Authority, behavioural boundaries, economics, penology and the like would all be governed by biblical principles in Rushdoony’s vision…

Thanks for the link. I will be posting more, and trying to compare him with the modern Dominionist movement. It is worrisome to say the least, that his ‘children’ are now preaching a ’seven’ mountain strategy.

There is no doubt these dominionist groups have a plan. They hope to infiltrate and control all ‘7′ spheres, including government and commerce.
I was reading a bulletin posted by Rick Joyner today at his morningstar ministries. They have a new org. now which is called, “The Kingdom Business Association”

OK, guys (and gals!), I know nothing about Rushdoony or the Chalcedon Foundation so I looked them up. On the Chalcedon website, under their “mission statement”, it doesn’t sound that bad. So, my question is, is this another case where everything “looks” good on the website but has deeper, darker secrets they don’t want us to know about? They even have a FAQ section to debunk myths. They specifically state that they are not dominionist. So, where can I get the low down on these people? Anyone do a real good expose on them with all their secret agendas, or is it not so bad? I didn’t dig deep…I just read a little bit. I visited your site Poly, and I’ll be back again. I like it. Just thought you could give me lowdown on some of the big stuff. I don’t always have time to read everything from top to bottom. PJ finds too much stuff for me to read!!!! : )
I went to their website to the mp3s…listen to volume 32 parts 1 and 2 if you get a chance. They are fighting the new world order with the new christian order. I’m gonna listen to them know and see what’s up.

I suppose the easiest way to find out is to listen to what they say and decide if anything seems funny to ya reformed. I have not gotten a chance to dig any deeper either, but I am going to listen to some of the mp3s now.
It’s interesting to me though that they would have a FAQ section to debunk myths. Why would they need that? Which site did you find that on. I would like to have a look.
Wow, it’s like they are the organization for christian conspiracy theorists who want to fight for God. “Either you are helping god in creating his order, or you are part of the disorder to be overcome.” There is no room for neutrality in fighting the NWO is what I am hearing.
It reminds me of the answer to the CFR…the CNP.
The John Birch Society keeps coming up. Both Ron Paul and Chuck Baldwin have ties and Chuck spoke at their 50th aniversary or something.
The wheat and the tares is a parable about a war of dominion. We have to CREATE a Christian World View.
Conspiracy theory takes the image of the devil from something imaginary to something very real. You are shocked and awakened and that would cause you to become engaged. Two kingdoms are at war, Babylon/humanist against The New Jerusalem. You can’t escape dominionism. They want to fill the gap to prevent One World Order in Government and Religion. The way to fill the gap is with the New Christian Order.
It’s not just sufficient to educate men. We gotta meet the enemy on the beaches and create a Christian World Order.
They want to prevent an internal take over of our nation by a handful of men.
Quite frankly, it’s Alex Jones with a little more of a Christian Kick. This interview had Ron Paul all over it. The emphasis is taken away from Satan and placed on the Elite ruling class. It focuses everything on man and places all responsibility on the people and the government. One World Religion isn’t addressed other than it being Christianity. It takes people kinda in a misdirection. Gives them a group to focus on…the US Government and the NWO.

Wow. It’s interesting how all of ties together PJ. It’s like this group is actually trying for a one world religion…very active! Almost like a white horse…just thinking aloud. Ecumenical Christianity…not Biblical Christianity. That white horse takes over government and religion. Still thinking aloud. What will they do when the government discloses UFOs? This should be very interesting to see unfold.

It’s on “The Chalcedon Foundation” website under “Credo”. You are an awesome investigator! I have a mental picture of you sitting at the computer typing away and papers flying!!! LOL There are some of you on here who help me with your knowledge and zeal to dig deep and fast to get to the bottom of things. Unfortunately due to my job I don’t get to always dig deep so I have to stand on your shoulders for some insight. I have not listened to the mp3’s yet but want to. It looks like they set their website up with nothing too shocking…probably so as not to scare off timid visitors. I’m sure you’ll uncover some more stuff and share it with us. I saw some quotes like this:

I thought, hmmm, no real problem there. It didn’t sound dominionist to me. But maybe it’s just rhetoric to cover the real agenda. I don’t know…looking forward to your next “breaking news report” to let us know. God bless.
Thanks Reformed. Kind of reminds me of when I went on to the Fresh Fires Ministry Website and checked out their statement of faith. I think that was when I reaaly figured out the summary pages meant nothing. Their statement of faith was nothing to write home about…but we all know the theology of Mr. Bently!
Oh, and Reformed. I was thinking about your comment about how you felt like you were trying to keep up or catch up with stuff like the nephilim (that’s the one that caught my attention) and a few other things. God leads you to what He wants you to know. Don’t feel like you need to catch up.
Well think of it like this. We all have our interests and things that the Lord has shown us. We are called to share them with our bretheren. Every one has different areas of interest and I believe God uses that for His Glory. Mine just happens to be nephilim, ufo’s and the bible and how that fits into Daniel, Revelation, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Jude, Peter, Matthew, Mark, Luke….
Everyone here has something to bring to the table. Every singe person here is being used by God to minister to His saints. Please don’t feel like you need to catch up. Think of it as God bringing you a gift and saving you some time by 1. bringing up topics that you may have never really thought about in depth 2. saving you from confusion that may be right around the corner 3. being able to share what you know and encourage others
