Been wondering where all the members of the false apostle posse have been hold-up lately? Well, apparently they’ve been meeting behind closed doors, plotting, planning, and passing the mantel and crown of leadership on to Dutch Sheets.
“My dear friend and partner in ministry Chuck Pierce stated prophetically to me that there was a major shift coming to the Apostolic Reformation. He then challenged me to hear from the Holy Spirit as to what this new phase looked like and what my leadership role in it was to be.
Chuck felt that this new assignment for my life was what Dr. Peter Wagner had seen in a dream concerning me. In Peter’s dream I had moved into the driver’s seat of a vehicle in which he and I were riding. We were left to interpret what that “vehicle” represented. The three of us now believe it was the Apostolic Reformation with all three of its components.
I read two separate news stories concerning Gaza this afternoon: one is horrifying, the other item in itself, I was glad to read but the comments which followed its posting on two Christian boards made me so angry my first instinct was to register just so I could leave a comment expressing my disgust…
You know folks, I praise God with all my heart, that I came to know Jesus before the age of personal home computers. If I was lost without Jesus today, and stumbled upon most Christian boards, there is no way I would want anything to do with any part of Christianity. And that’s the truth.
God has used the Internet, no doubt about it. But so has satan: and he has not confined his evil work to non-Christian websites.
There’s not any doubt we’re seeing pagan practices within the Church today. The recent video clip from one of Rick Joyner’s meetings attests to that reality.
Peter Wagner teaching Christians that they can obtain the power to ‘dethrone’ satan’s geographical territorial spirits, open spiritual portals, etc. is nothing more then a combination of mysticism and paganism, cloaked in Christianity. And we know Joyner and Wagner are only 2 of many teachers today which push these false doctrines. All anyone has to do is browse the websites of self proclaimed prophets and apostles to see how wide-spread these false beliefs and practices are.
Though, by our being placed in Christ we can, through the name of Christ Jesus, take authority over unclean spirits when necessary, there is no example found in God’s word that we are to go searching for demons or, take authority over geographical areas and the powers which rule over them, (spiritual mapping). And there is definitely no place found in scripture where we are encouraged to pray for or demand (which these teachers do) portals be opened into the spirit realm.
“Turns out, online, nobody is guaranteed salvation”
Though I’m not familiar with the website I do understand the poster’s dilemma. I conducted a similar experiment a few years ago, by googling the names of any well known respected Christian fathers and theologians of the past (and a few in the present) I could think of, only to see that to someone, somewhere, they were all considered heretics.
Is evangelicalism dying? Christine Wicker thinks so, and she says she has the statistics to prove it.
Wicker demonstrates with statistics that “image is everything” when it comes to evangelicalism. The number of evangelicals in our country is astoundingly low. We’re not 25% of the population. We’re nowhere close. At best, we make up 3.7%. One of the purposes of Wicker’s book is to “take back” the voice of the religious from evangelicals… (more at link)
This book is now on my must-read list. You might also be interested in reading the comments left under the review becauseChristine Wicker, the books author, stopped by to add further comments.
The second link is one I plan on following up on. Internetmonk has posted part (1) of what is to be a 3 part series on a similar topic; The Coming Evangelical Collapse
quote..
I believe that we are on the verge- within 10 years- of a major collapse of evangelical Christianity; a collapse that will follow the deterioration of the mainline Protestant world and that will fundamentally alter the religious and cultural environment in the West. I believe this evangelical collapse will happen with astonishing statistical speed; that within two generations of where we are now evangelicalism will be a house deserted of half its current occupants, leaving in its wake nothing that can revitalize evangelicals to their former “glory.” (more at link)

Apologetics Indexsent out an update pointing to their newest article this evening: Its concerning Peter Wagner. There are some interesting links included, which may help someone in their own research.
C. Peter Wagner is the former professor of Church Growth at Fuller Theological Seminary School of World Mission. He coined the term Third Wave.
This is an update on the post from December, Maitreya Emerging, ’shortly’ after Christmas. If you recall there was an announcement at that time from Share International in which they claimed:
Look now for the biggest miracle of all. In the very near future a large, bright star will appear in the sky visible to all throughout the world — night and day. (more here)
Well, since early January reports of this star (or ‘a’ star) have been reported in regions around the world. Coincidence or flight of fancy? Who knows. One thing we do know is that the bible tells us there are spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (see Ehp. 6:12)
LONDON, January 22 /PRNewswire/ — For over 30 years author, lecturer and artist Benjamin Creme has been preparing the way for the emergence of Maitreya the World Teacher.
On 12 December 2008 Share International distributed a news release announcing that in the very near future a large, bright star will appear in the sky visible throughout the world, night and day. Around a week later Maitreya will give his first interview on major US television.
Since early January 2009 sightings of the star have been reported from Norway, South Africa, the United States, Dubai and Qatar. More and more sightings are now expected. Reports have already appeared in Norwegian newspapers.
Two excellent posts on the impact our individual view concerning Eschatology can have upon us, and how it can on occasion lead not only to serious error, which can color and affect our ideas, opinions, etc, (both biblically and secularly) but how it can also have a grievous impact on how we as Christians show forth the love of Christ, reach out in compassion, or how we respond to and about, the lost.
When reading this tonight I flashed-back to a scene from the movie I, Robot.
“Australia is an apostolic nation, she will be prominent in the manufacture and distribution of apostles“
“The seeds of apostleship are many, yet dormant, all over the country inside multitudes of Australian Christians. But these seeds will germinate. A major apostolic arousal is coming over the next few years”
“Obviously, there is an apostolic workforce presently operational. However, the good news is, there is a more massive apostolic army still sleeping, soon to awaken, still seminal, soon to germinate, still hidden, soon to be made known, still raw material, soon to be assembled“
“But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.”Hebrews 12: 23-24
“..a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God”Hebrews 11:10
Zion: the true body of Christ, the bride, the ekklesia (called out ones).
Babylon: the false church system made up of men’s traditions, its connection with the world’s system, and with all religions.
**
- Zion is a living organism; a people–the people of God: Babylon is characterized by organizations, institutions, and systems of man.
Lord, deliver us from the bitterness, hatred, and un-Christ like behavior which is flooding your Church Body: In Jesus Mighty name, amen.
“Many American Christians believe, as an article of faith, that we are to pray for the success of our leaders. It has become a sort of conventional wisdom among soft-minded believers…” (More here at WND)
What absolute blind ignorance, and what an unChrist like spirit behind the words of this column by WND’s Joseph Farah. Besides the fact of not one word written about praying for Obama’s salvation and/or welfare, or that of his family’s.
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Tim 2:1-4
In the post, The “Mantle” Impartation, we talked about how many of those associated with the group at Elijah List have been writing about the honoring the fathers and the ushering in of some type of new impartation or anointing, related to receiving power (mantels) from ‘spiritual fathers’ of the past.
Diogenes brought up Benny Hinn:
Then there’s the ‘mantle’ that Benny Hinn received while standing over the grave of Kathryn Kuhlman, where in a mystical graveside seance he communicated with her and was supposedly embued with a double portion of her anointing and healing powers as she reached out from beyond…to impart her so-called mantle upon him..
After watching this video clip, its pretty clear that this new movement is headed in that direction; straight into practicing necromancy.
“There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD” Deu. 18(also see:God’s Word on these practices)
In this clip John Crowder is at the grave of John Alexander Dowie, falsely believing the power of God is in this grave..and that he can call it up. An interesting fact about Dowie; he claimed to be the forerunner of Christ’s second coming. Reports said he lost his mind before his death in 1907. (see John Alexander Dowie).
Intimacy with God is the very essence of religion.
The understanding of doctrine is one thing, and intimacy with God is another. They ought always to go together; but they are often seen asunder; and, when there is the former without the latter, there is a hard, proud, hollow religion.
Beware of mere opinions and speculations. They can become idols. They nourish pride of intellect. They furnish no food to the soul. They make you sapless and heartless.
This evening I was reading a post at Bartholomew’s Notes on Religion, which someone might find interesting. It concerns different prophecy views, even within the dispensationalist camp, on the end times and antichrist: Apocalyptic Christians Argue over Anti-Christ.
This difference of opinion, within the same Eschatological camp, brought to mind an article I received recently on those awaiting the re-building of a Temple in Jerusalem. Rather then just share the article, which is only one sided, I wanted to also share an opposite view as well: so you’ll find two opinions (below).
If we could survey the general population of America and ask for their opinion on the present economic crisis, we would hear a lot of different theories. The theories would range from clueless, to very scientific exposés on the economy.
I am confident that God would rarely be mentioned and it would be no surprise because man’s nature is to deny God’s involvement in human affairs.
But in spite of all the opinions, I have a different announcement which holds true. What we are witnessing right now is the judgment of God.
I’m always reading and listening to try and catch what the next ‘move’ is, coming from these false prophets and apostles. In the last few months the words ‘honoring our fathers’ has been coming from a few of these folks. The first I heard it was in the video series with Rick Joyner and Bob Jones (Here) posted in October, in which Joyner not only praises Todd Bentley, but gives great honor to Jones. (part 2, A.A. Allen is honored)
After also reading some of their words recently at Elijah List, its becoming clear that they are preparing to usher in some type of new ‘Mantle ‘ Impartation or anointing–This is to do with what they refer to as our ‘heritage’, bestowed upon the church by great fathers of the past. These spiritual fathers would be Branham, Bob Jones, Allen, etc etc…
As noted, Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins believe that the events they portrayed in theLeft Behind novels actually “will happen someday.”
They wrote the books, not to entertain readers, but to present “the truth of end times prophecy in fiction form.” (Kingdom Come: The Final Victory, pages 355-356)
Thanks to Polycarp over at The Church of Jesus Christ blog for posting the link. I love taking these little quiz’s. My score or rating[s] usually leave me surprised and laughing. Be sure and check out Polycarp’s post and results.
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously;1 Peter 2:21-23
As the verses above state, Jesus left us an example by his own actions as to how we are to face betrayal and accusations. Its not always an easy example to follow..
Have you ever been betrayed? Someone close to you was disloyal, your friend, a person you lest expected it from: perhaps even a Pastor or Spiritual mentor? It happens to us all sooner or later. There are many types of pain we must suffer as followers of Christ, but betrayal by someone we’ve held close…a friend, family member or close confidant, can bring some of the deepest spiritual and emotional pain, man can suffer.
“Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.” 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 (NIV)
THE FALLING AWAY:
The falling away had not yet come when Paul penned these words to the church in Thessalonica, but there is nothing in the passage to indicate that this apostasy from true Christianity still lies in the future from our day.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forthgood fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.Matthew 7:13-20
This quote from the video clip below should cause every Christian’s discernment alarm to go off:
“…Todd you’re a first fruits of a whole new era being released in the Church”
“ANGELIC” DELUSION
***
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.Colossians 2:18-19
For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.Romans 1:21-24
And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me,See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.Revelation 22:8-9
Also: Though angels are “ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation”(Hebrews 1:14), there is no biblical example in which humans were able to give them instructions or commands, either directly or through the name of Jesus. On the contrary, we have no control over the work of the angels for they obey and answer to God, not man.
Even in the Old Testament, where we see angels actively working with men, they are not at the bidding of men. The angel refused to reveal to Manoah, the father of Samson, his name. Though the angels who came to deliver Lot cooperated with Abraham and Lot, they certainly did not accept orders from them. When Lot failed to leave Sodom in a timely manner, the two angels forcibly took Lot and his immediate family out of town (Genesis 19:15-16).
The biblical way for the ‘commanding’ of angels is found in several places.
It is this: the people of God pray; the Lord hears their prayer; the Lord sends His angel or angels to do a work. Believers on earth do not have control over the angels. That is a myth made up by those who want to claim some great power over the spirit world that they do not have.
Here are some examples:
Moses spoke of when the children of Israel “cried unto the LORD, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and hath brought us forth out of Egypt” (Numbers 20:16).
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow down to Nebuchadnezzar’s image not knowing what God would do (Daniel 3:17-18). But God in His mercy “sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God” (Daniel 3:28) The Hebrew children did not order up the angel of the Lord, God did it.
God “sent his angel” to deliver Daniel from the mouths of the lions in the den of lions (Daniel 6:22).
The church in Jerusalem prayed for Peter when he was in prison (Acts 12:5). But when Peter was delivered, he testified that “the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews” (Acts 12:11). The Christians praying for Peter were so surprised when he showed up at the door that they almost did not let him in. Certainly, they did not command any angel to go get him.
All these passages and others show that men do not command angels and angels do not obey the commandments of men. They are God’s “holy angels” (Matthew 25:31; Revelation 14:10). Men are sinful by nature and have dwelling their flesh no good thing. How could men have the right or the authority to command these holy ministers of God Almighty? Certainly, we cannot.
“This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”Acts 1:11
Jesus went to heaven visibly; the disciples had just seen him go into heaven. Would he come back in a secret rapture—invisibly? No, the angel said “this same Jesus” will “come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve. And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it. And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine. And when even was come, he went out of the city. And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.Mark 11:11-21
Jesus had a reason for everything he did and did nothing on impulse. Why then, did he curse the fig tree?
A recent commenter asked ‘What has happened to Christianity in America?’… She’s not alone: I hear that question in some shape or form almost daily from brothers and sisters I’m in contact with, and I’m willing to bet many of you have asked the same question, if only in your heart.
Love has grown (and is growing) colder in the hearts of many believers who started out well on their journey, and this coldness has opened them up to rejecting that which they once possessed, and having it replaced bydemons with another Gospel, another Jesus, and another Spirit.
If like most others you discern something is definitely different, but question yourself: ‘is it me’…’maybe I’m wrong’…etc.
Its not you: If you are continuing to abide in Christ, his truth, and his love, your discernment is working just fine folks…you’re just noticing the bad fruit which is being produced in others due to the different spirit many are now being controlled by…
“At once the Spirit sent him out into the desert, and he was in the desert forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him” Mark 1:12-13 (NIV)
‘The Rising: Before They Were Left Behind’ has young Nicolae Carpathia (the future Antichrist) tempted by the devil after forty days in the wilderness, just like Christ.
