The End of the American Dream

I’m writing about something sacred to me, and you will understand as I go on. I am 59, and I have been given dreams and visions, along with many other experiences with God since 1972, the year of my salvation and indwelling. In general , I have not shared them, except in a limited way, and that as the Lord has led.
In March, 2003, six years ago , I was in the spirit in a vision.
I saw a most beautiful company of men and women preparing for an event. They were Christians, and fearfully holy, and beautiful. They were dressed in simple and humble attire.
They were not young, nor old. It reminded me of the military days when I and my fellow soldiers would prepare for a mission, gathering material and supplies and strategy. These were the holiest people I have ever imagined. They glowed with Heaven’s Presence, and their eyes were like lamps; emitting light and love. They were frightening.
The scene changed and I saw a multitude of American people , trudging along like the bomb-out of Dresden Germany….refugees..men with dirty suits, with heads down , homeless, in a crowd that poked along for miles and miles. Children held the hands of parents, trudging along, with a general air of depression and despair. They had lost everything.
Every molecule of the sky and the Earth and the substance of that vision spoke a word….”THE END OF THE AMERICAN DREAM.” I also knew it would center around a “mortgage greed craze.”
The scene changed again, and I was there, watching as another mass of people were trudging along. They were all minorities, mostly black and Hispanics. I then realized that the first group were all white. The difference being that they, the minorities were very, very angry…..riot motivated angry. These crowds stretched for miles. “The End of the American Dream.” was over them all. These too, had lost everything…homes, cars, and all luxuries and possessions: they were in the street.
I can only guess at the numbers…..maybe a total of about 3 million split between both groups. I saw signs of traditional ministries following this group…but without much impact.
The vision ended.
Implications and thoughts.
Firstly, I think the fall of the American economy and dream is permanent. I do not think that we will ever see America rise to the prosperity levels that we saw previous to October 2008. It is over. I could say, “never to rise again.”
Secondly, it is going to get much, much worse. If 3 million people are homeless, then it means that many more were displaced, perhaps 20 to 25 million. The 3 million are just those who have no friends or family to take them in.
Thirdly, the economy will not recover…ever.
The economy is collapsing, along with jobs. We will see the fuller impact beginning the summer of 09′. Renters also will be affected, and perhaps more vulnerable. Everyone has bought into the idea that your CREDIT RATING is the thing that makes you a success. The Lord showed me men in dirty suits, which reads to me that the middle and the upper middle class will also be there among them. The rich, and the nearly rich have acquired debt as a lifestyle, to enjoy and be entitled to the American dream to the fullest. From gourmet Pet food, to the “better colleges”, classy cars, along with the “Prize”…the 5 bedroom brick Tudor semi-mansion in the ‘burbs….the middle class has taken the bait…and who will deliver them?
All believed that America would just go on putting out for ever..and it would never end. It has now.
As I write, the largest reverse migration in American history is happening: Mexican migrants returning to Mexico. In the past several months, over 2 million have returned home to the south, to survive with their families. There is no longer the construction industry. It has vanished, along with the absence of a credit market. The mass exodus continues, and the poor and service industries are always the first to fall.
Why?
There are 4 sins that are paramount in the last days; Immorality, Murder, Theft and Sorcery. America was founded in Christian Puritanical beliefs, that spread throughout her government and judicial system, and the fibers of every realm of society. Volumes could, and are written on her demise, but it is suffice to say that America, hand in hand with the freedom to do ANYTHING she likes, or is pleasurable, (has believed) it is our RIGHT: guaranteed by our constitution.
This can be paralleled with ancient Israel as they often drifted the same way…and through out time, the Lord has so dealt with Nations by sending judgment.
JUDGMENT FIRST MUST BEGIN WITH THE HOUSE OF GOD!
The CHURCH is the salt of the Earth, and the American Church has, overall, lost her saltiness, her savor. We have been exposed, uncovered as one loving prosperity, and living and loving such riches as the prior Kings of the Earth knew not. We have willfully believed that happiness, health and prosperity have become our rights! God has ordained that we are the head, and not the tail.
There is no longer a Word about Sin, for there really is no sin, just principles! God is all inclusive, and God is Love. If there is no sin, then there is no repentance, and we are Earth bound.
Of course, we will fly away to more luxury and peace later, but that is in the by and by. The Blood of Jesus is no longer the pillar of our faith..but instead our pillar is the living of a purpose filled life, and that with your best life NOW! Happiness and Prosperity, along with good health to make you live longer and enjoy it, of course.
The end of the matter and conclusion concerning this sordid and unbiblical church is simple. THE CHURCH NO LONGER NEEDS GOD, or HER GLORIOUS MASTER, THE LORD JESUS! He exists only to serve her, like a butler, and to protect her rights, and of course, she shall never suffer.
When this vision is matured, the Church will realize that she does need God. The church will need Him more than she ever believed she would.
Judgment:Immorality. America and pornographic Hollywood, making billions yearly, importing our filth to nations that still blush, not being Christian. We have elevated sodomy to the halls of congress, and marry homosexuals. We teach our children, by law, the rightness of inclusiveness: that this is natural and must be accepted. We sell sex , millions of times a day on our airwaves, and are awash in sexual enhancement products, and endorse public displays of horrific and blasphemous “art forms”.
It is indeed a river of filth, and shows no signs of abating. Watch one minute of VH1 or MTV. This is our legacy.
Judgment: Murder. Over 50 million innocent children taken (alive) from their mothers wombs; that’s one out of six today in America. Don’t worry, God has covered His eyes, and didn’t see. Violence and death, and the “mass murderer”. This was generally unknown in America, with very few exceptions. It is a spirit.
My own brother was murdered, assassinated. The murderer was never brought to man’s justice. The US government does not hesitate to do so either, if it serves our political interest.
Remember KHADAFI?, and his tent in the sand…and his daughters that were blown to bits by an American cruise missile?
Judgment: Theft. I have written in my Bible, “THE BANKING SPIRIT.” Every element of business has morphed into a predator mentality, from the car dealer, to the investment Banker and your local bank, to the mechanic and Neighbor, Fairness, and doing the right thing has been replaced by deception and greed, to profit. It is a jungle out there, and everyone wants to rip you off. Have you ever felt that way? That’s because theft is rampant…
Judgment: Sorcery. Witchcraft and her covens are growing exponentially. Harry Potter, and some 30 TV shows and more cartoons about the occult are feeding our children a steady diet of satanism, not counting the hundreds of dark video games they devour. Well, as long as they are quiet!
The other side of sorcery is DRUGS: We have joyfully embraced drugs for any and all discomfort or pressure or unhappiness. Psychotropic drugs that “calm the nerves”, are casually dubbed “MEDICATION”; PSYCHOLOGICALLY EQUATING IT WITH REAL CURES, like penicillin, or the Polio cure. It is not. they are drugs…dopa!
The medical practice of the Physician has been reduced to a pill pusher…a pill for everything!It is the chief advertising dollar in America. It is estimated that one in six Americans use Marijuana.
Methamphetamine’s are a plague to mid America. Our prisons are bursting, overcrowded two to one , or worse. Thousands are beheaded and murdered today, as we speak, in Mexico over control of the dealing of this evil lust and addiction inside America.
You cannot tell the difference between the Church, and the World….except that possibly the Church doesn’t drink and party as much, and goes to meeting on Sunday.
RIGHT NOW, AMERICA DOESN’T NEED GOD, NOR DOES THE CHURCH. SHE IS LAODICEAN! SHE IS RICH, AND HAS NEED OF NOTHING.
Hope and Faith
God will provide. He has never forsaken one who has put their trust in Him, never! He has never broken a Promise, never, to any who Love Him, and even to those who call upon His Name!
There is a great division coming however, and it will prove to be a division between those who love Him, or love their own lives more.
How will we respond without prosperity? Will we be, as righteous Job, and still trust and say: “Even though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him!”, or will we be selfish, and despise His chastening, and Him too, when things are no longer? How will we relate to the homeless, the poor?, and especially to Christians that have lost everything? (see Acts 4:32) Will we open or homes, and will we give? Even unto our last cup of meal and oil to cook it with?
Will we give all unto the Lord, no matter the cost, or circumstances? Will we lay our lives down for our brother and sisters, no matter what?..or..will we get all we can, and can all we get? Some will…and the days of Ananias and Sapphira will return again. (see Acts 5:1-11 )
This will end in a purified church. The true Church will be greatly affected, for when we suffer, we stop playing Church, and become the Church.
There will be a shift from institutionalized pew sitters, and the clergy laity model, to the BODY, edifying itself in Love. The “House Church will become the norm, and the professional clergy will dry up for lack of money, and real anointing. The least of the Brethren will become a battle cry, and for those who want Jesus, their compassion’s will abound and increase, even unto abandonment…..and that is what this HOLY company is about.
They will be completely abandoned to Christ, and will impart that spirit. They will take the lead as examples, to minister to a grieving America, and will do so in real Power and Love.
There will again be a difference between the holy and the profane, and it will be obvious.
The catastrophe will be the stepping stone to REVIVAL, but not in the way of REFORMATION. It will be upheaval….a Revolution! It will be a rebirth, a true renewal based on Resurrection Life from Heaven, not reform in Doctrine only.
Many, many will return to Christ, and many will receive Him as Savior, as they behold real Glory and Love. Many will go on in their dead religion, and reject compassion. Many lost will be saved, and there also will be real healing’s and signs, that are indisputable, accompanied by brothers and sisters who want no glory of their own. Holiness will be all about them, and all will see.
This will be an awesome time for those willing to pay the price. We may not have a lot, but the promise is, “God will provide!” - this is a conditional promise however, fulfilled unto those who honor, fear, and Love Him.
Remember these words:
“AS MUCH AS YOU HAVE DONE IT UNTO THESE, THE LEAST OF THESE MY BROTHERS, YOU HAVE DONE IT UNTO ME!”
Jesus will become the rise and fall unto many. Many religious people and false Pastors and Prophets will be exposed in this pressure….Many. Many holy will gain Jesus, and true Salvation in this time. There will be those who give all, and truly please their Master. It will be, as the old novel begins, “THE BEST OF TIMES, AND THE WORST OF TIMES.”
The best for those who fall at His feet, and say: “JESUS IS LORD. IT IS HE, AND HE ALONE WHO IS LORD!” - to the rest, it will be the worst.
God himself is in the center of this “Meltdown”, and it is He who is applying the fire!”

It reminds me of Isa. 6 “In the year king Uzziah died I saw the Lord”
Uzziah was a righteous king, a builder and inventor. But later on he became prideful:
2 Chronicles 26 :15 In Jerusalem he made machines designed by skillful men for use on the towers and on the corner defenses to shoot arrows and hurl large stones. His fame spread far and wide, for he was greatly helped UNTIL he became powerful.
16 But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense. 17 Azariah the priest with eighty other courageous priests of the Lord followed him in. 18 They confronted him and said, “It is not right for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the Lord. That is for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, who have been consecrated to burn incense. Leave the sanctuary, for you have been unfaithful; and you will not be honored by the Lord God.” 19 Uzziah, who had a censer in his hand ready to burn incense, became angry. While he was raging at the priests in their presence before the incense altar in the Lord’s temple, leprosy broke out on his forehead. 20 When Azariah the chief priest and all the other priests looked at him, they saw that he had leprosy on his forehead, so they hurried him out. Indeed, he himself was eager to leave, because the Lord had afflicted him. 21 King Uzziah had leprosy until the day he died.”
The United States is like King Uzziah…. we started out well…. humble colonies. But as we grew we became prideful. Uzziah was helped UNTIL he became powerful, then he became prideful, then he became leprous.
BUT……It wasn’t until Uzziah DIED that Issiah SAW THE LORD! So, maybe the USA has to die before her people can see the Lord!

I have often wondered about all the money we put into church buildings and paying salaries to ministers when all members of the body of Christ are supposed to be ministering. I have always given ten percent of my income to the church but lately have been rethinking this when there are so many who need help. Of course my church gives about thirty percent of its budget to missions, but we spend an awful lot on ourselves. Is this really biblical? In the OT they had to support the temple, but we are the temple, living, breathing, the hands and feet of Jesus.

We’ve strayed far from the pattern set down in the new testament concerning how the church is suppose to operate. If we read the book of acts we really get a picture of how the body of Christ–even after scattered, took care of each other when the needs arose. In other books in the NT we read of ‘offerings and gifts’ being taken up in one church for those in need in another church…and carried to them by messenger.
In todays churches its mostly about keeping ‘our’ church programs going, building bigger or better houses of worship, etc etc..
Most Christians participate in this because they have no real knowledge of ‘what’ and ‘who’ the church really is…
Mr. Watkins, Amen. A very clear vision of America’s future, and one that should make us all begin our day in repentance. I agree that the church will grow in the home, and as written in Deuteronomy 4: 30 states: “When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice!”

we’ve been around awhile–both you and I, and have been a witness to many of the changes in the Church here in the US over the last 30 years, as Dr. Johnson C. Philip mentioned as well; (by the way, welcome to the blog Dr. Johnson C. Philip …and thank you for commenting!)
We’ve watched the prosperity gospel take root within churches across the country..and ministries being built upon this damnable heresy: Churches taking on the ways of the world more and more, under the false belief they had to be like the world to win the lost:
False teachings and movements galore have flooded into the Church–at a rate now, that its near impossible to keep up with them all.
We’ve also watched the politicizing of the Gospel over the last 30 years, its impact on the Church by men of God and entire ministries wrongly seeking to manipulate God, through prayers for political reasons: not praying, “thy kingdom come thy will be done…”
But, through this all, there has been a remnant of believers who have been praying alone or in small gatherings, for God’s will to be done; interceding for the Church in America and the people of God. Standing in the gap Tom…
I truly believe what we are witnessing the beginning of now, is in response to that remnant and their prayers. Though some over the years may have left their spot ‘in the gap’ by it being their time to leave this world, God had others ready to step in and take their place, continuing to pray, to this day…
We are seeing [and will see] these prayers answered. Why? because these prayers were [always] and are now, according to God’s will!
His will being the Church as a whole, which the American Church is a part of, being purged, purified, and refined, walking in holiness, without spot or blemish, untainted by the things of this world..like the first people you saw in your vision:
This remnant which has stood in the gap down through the years, had [and has] the mind of Christ–and prayed accordingly. They didn’t care what it was going to take: if it was persecution, extreme hardship, or even death of the body, their hearts were knitted with God’s in the desire to see the Church in America become part of the Bride of Christ. Thy never prayed for prosperity for the nation, taking dominion, nor one man be elected over another…nor for any of the other issues or things which are worldly.
I agree with you–the Church does not even know they need God here in America, yet. But they will shortly. And this will result in a ‘good thing’, for some. But those who do not accept what is coming upon us is God’s will, will fall. They will find themselves on the other side of the fence–enemies of God and ‘The Church’.
As Steve Farrar pointed out in his book, “Get In The Ark finding Safety In The Coming Judgment”, published in 2000 – “If you want to know what is going to happen in the future then you have to look back to the past.” His recommended reading list for understanding the future through the past? The biblical prophets. Through his own study of the prophets, Farrar is convinced that America is on the brink of judgment. He says, “The problem with America is not the unbelieving world. The problem with America is the people of God. Our gospel is cancelled by the way we live.”
Farrar’s book is a study of Habakkuk and observes that unrestrained wealth is the final test from God before He delivers judgment.
As is in the days of Noah, in the coming judgment of God, the only safe place is in the Ark. This time, the ark is the Lord Jesus.
Thanks PJ for posting…and thanks Tom for sharing your vision…powerful. The Church needs to come out from the world and be separate…and stop going back to the “old playground.” Many churches and ministries say there is a “sound from heaven”…and yes, I believe there is a sound from heaven and it is the sound of our Heavenly Father calling His children home…it is getting dark outside…and it is time to come home.
Truthspeaker….Joanne….A powerful spiritual truth about Uzziah and America. He had to have it all. It was just not enough to prosper over the nations…He had to ascend to the very throne himself in his deluded garnishment of his own pre-eminence.
Ambition is the twin sister of PRIDE, and is at the heart of the “I WILL’S” of Satans rebellion. I will ascend…
I think of America’s involvement is trying to twist Israel’s arm.

Dr. Phillip: I am glad that we are in agreement, but I must remind you that this article was not my opinion. This came to me , in a vision, along with the undeniable presence of God. This is what God said, and he related it to me in a vision…like a beautiful three dimensional movie…that I was in…just to watch, and to report back.
Another thing about this Dr. Phillip, it is not just naked information. I also carry the Lord’s heart of compassion, and some sorrow for this discipline. There will be a lot of suffering here, and many innocent children will suffer hardship, and families turmoil and confusion. This is not a happy Word. I was just the messenger boy.
Dave2: Thanks for that awesome scripture from Duet:4….”In the latter days”…Wow! God knew His word would be saved and read….by us! That word is 3500 years ago….but speaks of his faithfulness for us now.
I find the old Testament filled with little gems like that; “In the latter days, you shall understand.”
Thanks for that, for in the end no matter how much prophesy we believe, or have, if we don’t turn to God as our Provider, what good are they?

I really liked your post here. Hearing the call to come home…back to Him, and I think you have nailed it. This, in my opinion is what the Father is calling. Millions are hearing the call. Millions are unsatisfied, restless, and I believe because of this exact and precise call. “Come Home!”
This is the time of the 10 virgins. All were asleep, all heard the call, but only 5 had oil to light their lamps of faith to find their way. Geri: This is what I get out of your comment. God help us to believe, and give everything we have to Jesus, no matter the cost. It is the only thing that will carry us through.

Thanks for your post. As I was reading it, I was for some reason, continually reminded of the scripture in Matthew 24 that says:
“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”
I can’t help but believe we are seeing the beginning of this. It seems like the love of many has waxed cold. I have watched our nation change, and the churches change right along with it. I am disturbed by the fact that everything I was taught was bad( and in turn have taught my children), is now good and vise versa.
I saw on the news recently that tent cities are springing up in parking lots. These are no crack addicted bums or pimps in these tents. They were average families who had fallen on hard times, lost their jobs and homes.
One of these tent cities was in a parking lot near a University. The reporter interviewed the occupants of the tents, as well as a few female college students at the university. I was shocked when the young college ladies showed no sympathy whatsoever for the occupants of the tents.Their main concern was that one of ‘them’ might come into their dorm, or use their public restroom. But for the grace of God, they could be in that tent city. I felt ashamed of them.
These young ‘ladies’ hadn’t been taught the same things I’ve taught my children. I am so weak that I worry how my children will get along in the world with the values I’ve taught them. Greed , prosperity, and selfishness seem more the order today, than charity and brotherly love. But I fear God more than I fear the world. And I love and trust His Word which has never steered me wrong. And I take comfort in the next verse of Mattehw 24 which says:
“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

The strife and division is increasing each day, also here ( in Europe ) , especially between christians, about this ‘ israel ‘ topic…

Lisa: I believe our compassions dictate our Salvation, and is the most important attribute of the Saint. It is inextricably united with LOVE, the Agape force that Jesus is. Wow…I really was ministered to by your comment. In it’s simplicity, that spirit alone is enough to get us through.
“As much as you have don it to these, the least of my Brethren, you have done it unto me.” How many of those in that tent city did God identify with His Son? I am so happy that you teach your daughters God’s love and mercy. It is of the most important things that they will ever learn, or believe , as honoring God’s heart.
Once I read the parable of the talents….you know…one has five, one 2, and then a person only has a single talent, left to invest until the master came home.
The 5 and the 2 were doubled, but the one who hid his was condemned, and one Gospel makes it ever so clear that it was to Hell.
After reading this parable once, the Lord spoke to me , ever so clearly.
“It’s all about mercy.”
Would the Father condemn a man for not using His gifts? Nonsense…but in many places He declares He most certainly will, if we do not give away our Love and mercies that we have obtained, through no righteousness of our own. Freely we have received, freely we are commanded to give. This is loving Jesus….by keeping His commandments. Love your neighbor as yourself…..[ with the mercy and love given to you! ]
The world is growing colder and more narcissistic each day. It is everywhere…from fashion, to TV to the local High School, and kindergarten….My 7 year old granddaughter is in love with Hannah Montana. Utter and absolute selfish lust and arrogance, and it bombards us every day like an asteroid storm.
Yes, “The love of many shall wax cold.” We cannot be a God unto ourselves, and belong to Jesus too. Remember the “I wills..” of Satan. He aggrandized himself above the Throne of God himself, and this spirit of the World is still around and in force. “He who loves his life….SHALL LOSE IT..!..but He who loses his life, for my sake, shall find it, EVEN TO LIFE ETERNAL!”

You asked if the current turmoil in Israel had any affect on this post and vision.
No, not at all. This was given to me in 2003, and my ideas or interpretation today was divorced from any thoughts of the mid east. This was about America, and it was by chance that PJ posted it now, or that I submitted it now.
It will be a body, a Bride, without spot or blemish. This should cause us to fear in light of our continuing corruption. “Without holiness NO man shall see God!”

I believe the Lord gave this Word , so that we could prepare, and to hope…..and to see that our success is not, nor shall be in this life. “Behold, the Bride has made “HERSELF” ready. ”
