Gaza..and musing

I read two separate news stories concerning Gaza this afternoon: one is horrifying, the other item in itself, I was glad to read but the comments which followed its posting on two Christian boards made me so angry my first instinct was to register just so I could leave a comment expressing my disgust…

You know folks, I praise God with all my heart, that I came to know Jesus before the age of personal home computers. If I was lost without Jesus today, and stumbled upon most Christian boards, there is no way I would want anything to do with any part of Christianity. And that’s the truth.

God has used the Internet, no doubt about it. But so has satan: and he has not confined his evil work to non-Christian websites.

And its growing worse…

I’ve been active on a computer for 8 years now. The changes which have transpired in that short time span, in many Christians who frequent boards or forums, has been the most disturbing sign pointing to the last days, that I’ve personally witnessed. There is a new hardness of heart, an unexplainable anger and bitterness; and lack of love & mercy. In my opinion, this is yet another face of the last day apostasy.

The news item which caused me to see this (once again) today?

Fox: Obama Administration Approves $20 Million for Gaza Relief

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration on Friday made an emergency contribution of more than $20 million for urgent relief efforts in the Gaza Strip, a day after the United Nations launched a flash appeal for $613 million to help Palestinians recover from Israel’s three-week military operation there.

The State Department said President Barack Obama had authorized the use of $20.3 million from the U.S. Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund for humanitarian assistance to the 1.4 million Palestinians in Gaza.

The money will go to U.N. agencies and the International Committee of the Red Cross, which are distributing emergency food assistance, providing medical care and temporary shelter, creating temporary employment and restoring access to electricity and potable water, the department said in a statement.

The Israeli offensive killed nearly 1,300 Palestinians, including hundreds of civilians, and caused an estimated $2 billion in damage, Palestinian officials say. The assault was launched to halt years of Hamas rocket fire on southern Israel.

***

And the comments on this story from ‘Christians’?

Never mind how many Israeli casualties have occured!

So Obama is giving money to Israels enemies now. How much more of this will it take before God passes judgement on the United States?

We Christians deserve a trip behind the holy woodshed for allowing these abominations to occur in this country that God has especially blessed. This cursing of Israel, and there can be no other way of looking at rearming her enemies, cannot go unpunished.

So he’s paying for more weapons for Hamas when we’re already bankrupt?

I beleive that the miniute that Obama declares that Israel is our enemie, is when God turns his back on the U.S.

How will THAT stimulate our economy? I am so angry right now I could spit. It’s OUR money!!!

Thats “Obama”-nation for you! giving our money to satan.

These statements are not only outrageously wrong (I’m beginning to believe people only see what they want to see) but they are totally void of the spirit of Christ. What if you were not a Christian today..would you want anything to do with the Savior these people claim to follow and represent?

To anyone who may read this who doesn’t know Jesus;

Please do not allow what you hear coming from those who say they are Christians, but who exhibit bitterness, a lack of love & mercy, to influence you..don’t let their bad example keep you from coming to the one who is love–and who loves you. I tell you the truth and do not lie, this is not an example of what real Christianity is about.  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). That means for you too. For all who will come. We Christians are far from perfect, and sadly we  fail miserably, most of the time, to show Christ to you by our actions and words, but please, don’t judge Jesus by how we misrepresent Him…

The other news item concerning Gaza, broke my heart. I cannot imagine losing 29 members of my family within hours:

Newsweek, The Smell Of Death – In Zeitoun, Gaza, 29 members of one family lost their lives

Palestinian farmer Rafiq Samouni, 39, sat on the rubble of his house Monday, eating a sour orange. “We don’t have any homes, we don’t have any food–except these,” he said, gesturing at the remains of an orange tree sticking up through chunks of concrete and piles of earth churned up by Israeli tanks. “And we don’t have any relations.”

Twenty-nine members of the extended Samouni family, who lived in neighboring homes in the Zeitoun area of Gaza, were killed on the first morning of Israeli ground operations, Jan. 4, and nearly all of their homes were blown up by Israeli demolition teams, most of them completely flattened.

Another 19 Zeitoun residents from other families perished as well; the last of those 48 corpses was recovered Monday, after lying there for two weeks until Israeli army units finally withdrew on Sunday. The smell of death was everywhere.

A few doors away, a man who was huddled inside with his two wives and many of his 20 children, was shot by soldiers, who also killed his 4-year-old son.. (more here)

  1. I am one of those that wants nothing to do with “christians” because of this type of thing…I am a true and faithful G-D loving woman, but it is stuff like this that makes my guts churn and hate to burn where there should be love for my fellow man. Thank you for posting this, because I think I am this close to turning my own eye away to the plight of “Christians” who behave and act in these ways, these people have treated my family and myself terribly, in the name of G-D! I dunno, Maybe there is hope. I don’t know, I live in the south and this is the stuff they come to my door with, this is the stuff they teach their children who then spew it out again in our schools, if you are NOT just like me then you are wrong and going to hell…this is hate not love. This is not what I teach my children, I teach them we are all human beings and that the Holy provider loves each and every one of us, there is room for all. I guess I lost my faith in “being a Christian”a long time ago, I still love and I still pray, and I still teach my children, and I still help my fellow man….but the worst thing to do these days (for me I am speaking, just for me) is to walk up and introduce yourself as a “Christian”, because I have delt with so much hate and greed from just those people. BTW I was raised Church of God (one side of the family) and Orthadox Greek, so I know my Lord and I know Him well. I now embrace all world religions, that does not mean I have forsaken my own, it means I have learned about them, about different humans all over the world, to better understand the Human condition and to learn respect and when it comes down to it, HE will not stand there and say, NO! Not you…You can’t come into Heaven…you voted for Obama, or You think Love can be wrong or has a color, a nation, a religion, a creed or a gender. Again I think you are brave for posting this and I thank you for it.

  2. The death and destruction is horrible, but before you steer everybody to hate the Israelis for being so mean read this from the Jersusalem Post. It is about Hamas using Palestinian families as human shields. If the people resisted they were shot.

  3. First of all, there is neither Jew nor gentile in Christ. It is a racist idea to believe that the Jews are a more honored people than any other bloodline. Paul did honor them with being the ROOT of historical faith, but affirmed their forfeiture of the honor also. Jesus said, “I know that you are the seed of Abraham, but the deeds,,,[ or faith ] of Abraham , you do not.”

Jesus came to join the sons of Adam into one, through His body, “These are they that are redeemed from EVERY TRIBE, NATION AND TONGUE..There is not a parade of Messianic Jews in front.

There is however such a thing as specific promises to Jerusalem, the place of his return, and to His oath to Israel that are immutable. These are not elite racial Promises , but merciful outreaches from God to establish His Lordship and Glory, and to Prove his Absolute power to keep His word, no matter how many Satans exist to thwart it.

Ismael was rejected, and Esau. Jacob…a Hebrew was loved. These are historical facts that Satan has flagged to bring an eternal enmity between to people groups, or races. Today, the Muslims teach that the true sacred lineage was through Ishmael. Islam is built on that pretext, and there is no such thing as a Son of God. The Jews have always been hated, for there are promises that are bound within that race, and it has always been a target of genocide because of it. …..read the book of Esther, and Purim…and Mordecai. Hitler too, and others .

If Satan could destroy the Jews entirely, well, he would prove God a liar. It will not, nor cannot happen. It will not happen, until the second coming itself is established on the great deliverance of God Himself, as the anti-Christ comes to annihilate every Jew there is. Jesus himself arises, to gather all, and yes all in Palestine that love Him, and yes, all in every country, Arab or not, who are His Children by the means of being Born again by the Holy spirit, and trusting in Jesus’ sacrifice. as the one and only way to be saved. IT IS.

It is believed that all of the original 12 apostles died in Pagan lands spreading the Gospel. They well knew their equality, as those true Christians do today. It is sin to think otherwise. This is why we are saved, and the apostles and true Christians defenders and Lovers of mankind, proved their love with their own blood spilled from their veins.

The world and most of the socialist media is leftist, and does hate Israel, and disproportionally sway to the Palestinian rights more than the Jews. We may not see it as much here, but in Europe, and the east, they do not see as we do. Yes, there is prejudice toward the Jews, and against those bad Palestinians. Just ask John Hagee!…but any real Christian will not be involved in politics on any level, but will show mercy, just as God does, and be in politics only to the measure that he or she is an Ambassador to Christ!

There are many, many messianic Jewish groups , who thrive off of American dollars, who will not talk to but another Jew about Jesus. They disdain any Jew who will. [ I recommend that all funding to "ISREALI" evangelists be stopped from America. we are not helping the cause of christ. This would shake out the pretenders and leave those who loved the cause of Christ fully. ]

We must not favor the Palestinian Muslim over the Israeli Jew. They are the same with God, for he is no respecter of persons whatsoever. If we are, then we are proven to be sinners. This issue will only be resolved upon the return of Jesus, on the day that He stops time, and every eye will peer into eternity. On that day, being a Jew, or being a gentile, like most of us , will not matter.;Being a son or daughter will. Those who are Christ’s will be gathered…those covered by His Blood, born from above, not from man, to be with him, forever. There will be some Jews left to face perdition, and some Muslims, and some Buddhists, and some Baptists, and Presbyterians too, who thought that their religious or social stances would justify their righteousness.

there have been atrocities FROM BOTH SIDES THAT ARE INEXCUSABLE before God. Who are we going to side with one? If you do, you are entering a sliding slope whereupon your PEACE will soon be sacrificed at the alter of you own righteousness.

HOW LONG DO YOU WANT TO LIVE LIKE THIS, OR HOW LONG CAN YOU?

He is the Prince of Peace, and being swayed by one political group over another, and becoming passionate over their cause, will only lead in heartache, no matter how right you think you are.

Joshua, upon seeing Jesus in battle in the Promised land; “are you for us, or against us?”

“I am neither for you, or against you. Remove your sandals, for the place in which you are standing is Holy Ground!”

The lesson is this. Jesus is the ONE we must honor, and wherever He goes, or whatever he does, is holy, and we are commanded to worship Him, upon His demands, not our personal preferences. He is neither for us , or against us, but is God alone. He so loved THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE …….AND CONTINUES TO.

  4. Christians will always respond appropriately. Non-christians will not.

    It really is that simple.

What we need right now is “active, pragmatic “Wisdom” from above.

Consider these two “vines”. In the article above you clearly can see one over the other:::>

Deu 32:30 How could one have chased a thousand, and two have put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had given them up?
Deu 32:31 For their rock is not as our Rock; our enemies are by themselves.
    Deu 32:32 For their vine comes from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah; their grapes are grapes of poison; their clusters are bitter;
Deu 32:33 their wine is the poison of serpents and the cruel venom of asps.
Deu 32:34 “‘Is not this laid up in store with me, sealed up in my treasuries?

    and the True Vine, “Christ”:::>

Psa 80:8 You brought a vine out of Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it.
Psa 80:9 You cleared the ground for it; it took deep root and filled the land.
Psa 80:10 The mountains were covered with its shade, the mighty cedars with its branches.
Psa 80:11 It sent out its branches to the sea and its shoots to the River.

    The “River”, capital “R”:

At Psalm’s 72, the prayer for the “King” we read this:

Psa 72:7 In his days may the righteous flourish, and peace abound, till the moon be no more!
Psa 72:8 May he have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth!
Psa 72:9 May desert tribes bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust!
Psa 72:10 May the kings of Tarshish and of the coastlands render him tribute; may the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts!
Psa 72:11 May all kings fall down before him, all nations serve him!
Psa 72:12 For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper.
Psa 72:13 He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the lives of the needy.
Psa 72:14 From oppression and violence he redeems their life, and precious is their blood in his sight.

No matter how you lean, I advise that you “guard” your heart and keep the “River” flowing out of it:::>

Psa 46:4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.
Psa 46:5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.
Psa 46:6 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts.
Psa 46:7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
Psa 46:8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, how he has brought desolations on the earth.
Psa 46:9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire.
Psa 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

I am glad your heart is tenderhearted, PJ. If you are not careful, you will be drawn over to take sides by the outward goings on.

    War is evil and devilish.

We are for Peace, but they are for war!

Pro 16:4 The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble…..

Pro 16:15 In the light of a king’s face there is life, and his favor is like the clouds that bring the spring rain.
Pro 16:16 How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.
Pro 16:17 The highway of the upright turns aside from evil; whoever guards his way preserves his life.

  5. The death and destruction is horrible, but before you steer everybody to hate the Israelis for being so mean..

Riles, i believe you totally misread my post, which doesn’t surprise me.

    I wrote:

…I’m beginning to believe people only see what they want to see….

and im afraid you fall into that category my friend. You ‘saw’ something in this post which is not there.

If the tables were turned and it were Christians making the same outrageous statements concerning America delegating 20 million dollars toward a relief fund to help Israel by:

distributing emergency food assistance, providing medical care and temporary shelter, creating temporary employment and restoring access to electricity and potable water…

I would feel the same horror.

This isn’t about politics folks, its not even about mans inhumanity towards his fellow man or either side in this one particular war, but about those who call themselves, and represent themselves, to millions on the internet as Christians, who are projecting such a horrible picture of what Christianity is all about and who Christ is, to the world.

I meant what i said: ‘if’ i were lost without Jesus today, and came upon such statements as i read daily on many Christian boards, i would turn away in disgust from anything to do with Christianity–wrongly believing that these type of statements represented Jesus and the Church.

How tragic it would be, as we stand before our Savior one day, to realize how much we have misrepresented him while on earth: not only to the lost, but to those young in the Lord or someone battling with holding on to their faith (which we may not be aware of).

And why? all because we allowed our hearts to become hardened and bitter toward ANY group of people for whatever reason: be it for political reasons or because it has to do with our personal eschatology beliefs.

When we stand before Christ i ‘don’t think’ those excuses are going to impress Him at all.

  6. I am one of those that wants nothing to do with “christians” because of this type of thing…I am a true and faithful G-D loving woman, but it is stuff like this that makes my guts churn and hate to burn where there should be love for my fellow man.

    badkittyartstudio,

Please understand, not all those who say they follow Jesus and his example, really do. And even those who are truly trying to follow him daily still mess up many many times. This is why we are told to follow him, not people–not even other Christians.

I guess I lost my faith in “being a Christian”a long time ago, I still love and I still pray, and I still teach my children, and I still help my fellow man..

We can lose our faith in people, yes, but this is because our faith should never be placed in anyone but Jesus. People, even Christians, can let us down. But Jesus never will.

  7. I am glad your heart is tenderhearted, PJ. If you are not careful, you will be drawn over to take sides by the outward goings on.

    Michael,

With the Lord’s help i hope to never do that..

I pray daily asking God to only allow me to see the people…not the circumstances. isn’t that what Jesus did–isn’t that what we should strive to be doing also? He saw people, we should do the same.

A soul is a soul–and lost is lost, regardless of who the people are or where they are living.

The same can be said about those in dire need of help: it shouldn’t matter to us, if we have the Spirit of Christ dwelling within, who they are or where they live.

  8. PJ I saw a seeming condemning of Israel for defending themselves over this whole series since the rockets first started firing. I do not read your blog to read anything in particular other than truth, and it has been a good source. I just felt it was one sided towards the Palestinian cause and offered balance. If I misread I apologize. Your site is one I read daily and have for several months. I am neither a warmonger or a peacenik, but believe that this cobbled up situation in Israel has been mishandled by all since the reformation in 1948.

  9. I’m sorry- I have to disagree with you on this one. It’s interesting that you quote 1 Corinthians 2:14 for your next article on (on Genesis and ecology) but don’t apply it to yourself also. Have you never read the Old Testament? God continually commanded His people to kill slaughter, and mutilate other tribes (INCLUDING WOMEN, CHILDREN, AND ANIMALS). Pacifists always try to ignore these potions of the Bible- but you can not- because it reveals God’s LOVING character and nature.

The moment we think God’s idea of mercy and compassion should align with ours- we are lost.

God is God and every man (including us) is a liar.

    Jesus is Lord!

  10. This is the ugly rotten fruit of “Christian Zionism” which mistakes the secular humanistic NATION of present day Israel for the PEOPLE of Isreal who will one soon day recognize their Messiah and by God’s grace be brought to fulfill their covenant.

Hamas is evil because it doesn’t care one wit for the people of Gaza. It is wrong for them to make the international community provide for their needs while they use the people as human shields.

But it is GOOD for the U.S. to respond, in spite of that, to the great human need and suffering of the Gazans.

Their are SAINTS–real brothers and sisters in Christ–in Gaza who are suffering terribly.

We “Americans” particularly “Christians” should take NO SIDE but discern what is the will of the Lord. To care for widows and orphans in their trouble, perhaps?

  11. PJ I saw a seeming condemning of Israel for defending themselves over this whole series since the rockets first started firing.

Riles, i hope after my reply you can see now that my horror, at the comments from those professing Christ, had to do with the idea that they allow politics and/or personal prejudices to dictate who they show mercy to and who they withhold it from. As followers of Jesus, this should not be.

I believe when God looks upon mankind He sees two groups: those who are abiding in His Son and those who are lost.

Our Father’s desire is that all come to His Son:

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;…

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1tim; 2: 1,3-4

Many within the Church in America seem to have forgotten this–instead they now see people, nations, etc not through the eyes of our Savior but through the eyes of the world. And by doing this, they are misrepresenting Jesus and Christianity.

In fact i would say they are presenting to the world, ‘another Jesus’…a different Gospel.

Riles, when i read some of the comments like those i quoted, which were in response to helping those in dire need, i sit here and wonder ‘what’ Jesus these folks know–because its not the same Jesus who reached down and called me, a lost sinner, to himself 30 yrs ago–nor is it the one i hear ‘speaking’ in the words contained in the bible.

I’m sorry if you misunderstood my intent and for not making myself clear enough. I make the mistake of thinking everyone reads on Christian boards like i do, so take for granted (which is wrong) that others will know what i mean, having seen it for themselves.

Have you never read the Old Testament? God continually commanded His people to kill slaughter, and mutilate other tribes (INCLUDING WOMEN, CHILDREN, AND ANIMALS)

Rachael, have you read the new testament? We are living under the new covenant today.

We “Americans” particularly “Christians” should take NO SIDE but discern what is the will of the Lord. To care for widows and orphans in their trouble, perhaps?

Victoria, i agree that as Christians taking political sides is not what we should be doing. Our job is to reach out to any and all with mercy and the Gospel of salvation. When we start taking ‘sides’ it cuts off the possibility of God being able to use us to reach all people.

  12. Racheal_Lovely

you wrote: “….Have you never read the Old Testament? God continually commanded His people to kill slaughter, and mutilate other tribes (INCLUDING WOMEN, CHILDREN, AND ANIMALS). …”

I believe you have missed the point of the Gospel in the assertion you make above.

I would as Paul does here, harken you to remembrances:::>

Eph 2:11 Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands–
Eph 2:12 remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
Eph 2:14 For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility
Eph 2:15 by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace,
Eph 2:16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.
Eph 2:17 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near.
Eph 2:18 For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.
Eph 2:19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,
Eph 2:20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,
Eph 2:21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.
Eph 2:22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

It is true that the Old Testament stands as a mightly violent expression of God’s wrath at the hands of the Jews. Never let that one fact be forgotten. Also, never forget it was at the hands of Gentiles that God equally brought destruction upon the Jews!

One said of “hell”, it is a place separated “from” God.

No, not in the least. “Hell” is the place of being in the eternal presence of God’s eternal destructive wrath where the worm never dies and the soul is never at rest or in peace but instead are in an everlasting dark foreboding wrathful intensity of God’s anger and disgust because of rejecting His Mercy and Grace!

Jesus is the Mercy and Grace that brings about Peace to anyone who will hear what the Spirit is speaking to the Churches.

Col 3:9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices
Col 3:10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.
Col 3:11 Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all.
Col 3:12 Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,
Col 3:13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Col 3:14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
Col 3:15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Col 3:17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Here is the gateway to the Peace of God for the souls of “all” mankind, whether Jew or Greek, barbarian, Scythian, bond or free:

Heb 1:1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets,
Heb 1:2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.

See that there? “Christ Jesus”, the True Messiah, is the heir of “all” things even as the Old Testament teaches:

Psa 89:10 You crushed Rahab like a carcass; you scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.
Psa 89:11 The heavens are yours; the earth also is yours; the world and all that is in it, you have founded them.
Psa 89:12 The north and the south, you have created them; Tabor and Hermon joyously praise your name.
Psa 89:13 You have a mighty arm; strong is your hand, high your right hand.
Psa 89:14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.
Psa 89:15 Blessed are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O LORD, in the light of your face,
Psa 89:16 who exult in your name all the day and in your righteousness are exalted.
Psa 89:17 For you are the glory of their strength; by your favor our horn is exalted.

These words of Psalm 89 now are redeemable by me and you through Christ Jesus, whether or not we were born of a Hebrew family or of a family from Spain, Uraguay or Canada.

It must be noted here that this is what is described about mankind’s outlook at the return of Christ Who comes to redeem His inheritances:::>

Rev 1:7 Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.
Rev 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Rev 1:9 I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

    Do you see those Words?

Who wails at the return of the Lord? “All tribes will wail”. Those who had opportunity to receive the forgiveness of sins and an inheritance yet these who wail at His soon return are those who rejected the Gospel of the Kingdom.

Rachael, have you accepted the Gospel of the Kingdom?

It is clear the Palestinians, Arabs and Jews as well as many misguided “Christians” do not understand how Peace comes to them.

As Thomas above says, Christ, when He comes, will put an end to all hostilities between mankind. Sadly it will not occur until then.

There will be wars among nations and tribes and kindreds; rumors of wars and terrible natural events abounding until that great and notable day of the Lord happens.

To the one, these verses have meaning because the True Christian has accepted his judgment already and thus God passes over him, forgiving him of all his sins, allowing him to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven:

Heb 9:27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,
Heb 9:28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

To the other, this then happens equally and at the same time:

Jud 1:14 It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones,
Jud 1:15 to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

We are Christians. Our appropriateness is necessary in this world right now, wherever we are. We are the “Light” of Christ to every nation.

I have been to Israel. I have encountered just as vicious Jews as Gentiles in that land of Peace! I have encountered some fine and noble Jews as well as Gentiles in that “same” land of Peace too.

We need to continually pray for the peace of Jerusalem because until the Lord returns and gives out judgments, to the righteous and to the wicked, there will be horrible and terrible events increasing as those events PJ addresses hereon in this article.

  13.
Victoria, i agree that as Christians taking political sides is not what we should be doing. Our job is to reach out to any and all with mercy and the Gospel of salvation. When we start taking ’sides’ it cuts off the possibility of God being able to use us to reach all people.
You know, I think the problem is that Christians don’t take sides at all. Not even with the good against the evil, nor the evil against the good. They’re just stuffed shirts, eternally praising God and clapping to worship music. Though they claim to have a degree of righteousness, they cannot discern righteousness or evil in the world around them. They see only that which is most convenient, and their monsters are visible to all men to behold. No one disagrees, and no one should bother agreeing either. They base their hopes on empty theologies, and their life’s blood drips away without them knowing it.

All of our Popes and Prophets are as soulless and dead as the churches they lead. We have no leaders, no reason for existance. No great war to be fought, no enemy worth slaying. We reach out continually to save the sick and the dead, but few realize that they need help also. The damned leading the damned, and all fall into the pit. Or, perhaps, the idiot leading the idiot, and both are caught up into heaven ONLY because of God’s grace, and not because of any great accomplishment that they could boast about.

  14. You know, I think the problem is that Christians don’t take sides at all.

Why Ricardo, we are to take a side, the side of Christ!

They’re just stuffed shirts, eternally praising God and clapping to worship music.

AHAHAHA!! Eternally praising God is a good thing…

Though they claim to have a degree of righteousness, they cannot discern righteousness or evil in the world around them.

You’re mistaken. Most Christians i know, are very apt at discerning evil and good in the world.

We have no leaders, no reason for existance. No great war to be fought, no enemy worth slaying.

Ricardo, you still continue to see everything through the lens of the secular…through the eyes of the world.

Its time you began to see situations and people through the eyes of Christ and the word of God.

If you are a follower of Christ, this is how you should be ‘seeing’…
