You see there is a spirit of Absalom that I detected as I launched out into the deep. And I began to sense the heart of David as he ran from the great palace in Jerusalem instead of standing up and facing his son, Absalom.

There is a spirit of Absalom that is endeavoring to take away the right of the ruling authority of those whom God has anointed, to replace you, whether it be in your work or it be in your position, in leadership in your home, your marriage, your family, that spirit is suddenly very prevalent.   There is a prophet that will destroy it by the power of the prophetic word. Because once we detect that thing, my friend, we know how to hang it quickly.

Bobby Jindal’s Story about Demons and Spiritual Warfare

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, who gave the Republican national response to President Obama’s speech this week, wrote an article in 1994 in which he described being present when demons manifested and were cast out of a close friend. Brody seems to think this article would damage Jindal’s political chances in the future. He’s probably right.

In 1994 when Jindal was in his early 20’s he wrote an article entitled, “Beating a Demon: Physical Dimensions of Spiritual Warfare.” In it he describes being present for what many would refer to as a spiritual exorcism. It involved his best friend  at the time “Susan.”  It is a truly captivating read… In many ways the whole experience left Jindal with more questions than answers..

In G. P. Fisher’s  History of Christian Doctrine there is a very suggestive passage in which he tells us how heresies usually originate, and gives us an insight into their nature. He says:

When Christianity is brought into contact with modes of thought and tenets originating elsewhere, either of two effects may follow: It may assimilate them, discarding whatever is at variance with the gospel, or the tables may be turned and the foreign elements may prevail. In the latter case there ensues a perversion of Christianity, an amalgamation with it of ideas discordant with its nature. The product then is a heresy.

The Holy Spirit: The fruits and effects He produces

“When He comes, He will convict the world about  sin, righteousness, and judgment.” John 16:8

Where the Holy Spirit is, there will always be deep conviction of sin and true repentance for it.

It is His special office to convince of sin.

Prophecy Paranoia: The Man with the BLACK SPOT

Well, it didn’t take me long to run across some wild comment concerning Joe Biden’s ‘black spot’ seen on his forehead Wednesday. For those who might not know the spot was an ash smudge. He’s Catholic and obviously had attended an Ash Wednesday service. That doesn’t stop the prophecy paranoia from running amok in some Christian circles.

For anyone out there who saw VP Joe Biden on national news today – he was wearing on his forehead a black mark. Of course, this is from the black ashes of Ash-Wednesday that all good Catholics celebrate and if you are a GOOD Cat-holic, you wear that black spot ALL DAY on your forehead! What most of them do not realize is that they are wearing the FORERUNNER of the Mark of the Beast on their forehead! It is the leader of THEIR church, the pontifex maximus, his royal highness, the POPE, who will FORCE the whole world to worship the antichrist and submit to the mark of the beast, which will damn them forever. What you see today on VP Biden, is just a glimpse of what is coming. Perhaps God placed this black pox on the 2nd in command…

The Mark of the Beast will be a black pox forced onto the world by a member of a race who has chanted for years that “black is beautiful,”to get you used to ACCEPTING as wonderful— a black MARK that will stain your soul forever – and it is a LEOPARD with black spots that initiates this mark! He comes heralding PEACE and his partner is a member of a religion that is entirely controlled by a “holy cat” – a black cat, dressed in black …

This cat-man (see the spinX in Egypt, which is in AFRICA, which is where the cat-man comes from!) is a half-breed who would love to “change his spots,” but alas, a leopard can not change his spots. He will always be a CAT!

“The Year in Hate”

What a distressing, though not surprising report released today by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The number of hate groups operating in the United States continued to rise in 2008 and has grown by 54 percent since 2000 — an increase fueled last year by immigration fears, a failing economy and the successful campaign of Barack Obama, according to the “Year in Hate” issue of the SPLC’s Intelligence Report released today.

The SPLC identified 926 hate groups active in 2008, up more than 4 percent from the 888 groups in 2007 and far above the 602 groups documented in 2000. A list and interactive, state-by-state map of these groups can be viewed here. (*I checked my area…surprise! the one in my own backyard states they are “Christians”)

As in recent years, hate groups were animated by fears of Latino immigration. This rise in hate groups has coincided with a 40 percent growth in hate crimes against Latinos between 2003 and 2007, according to FBI statistics.

Two new factors were introduced to the volatile hate movement in 2008: the faltering economy and the Obama campaign.

The True Glory of God, When Heaven Touches Earth

This evening I was reading one of my favorite chapters in the old testament, 2 Chronicles 5, and once again found myself in awe.  Each time I read it, it never fails to stun me anew that this same power recorded in this chapter, is the same power that lives within me, you, and all those in whom the Spirit of God dwells.

It brought to mind an article I had posted last year titled, When Heaven Touches Earth. I thought someone might like to read it again, or perhaps read it for the first time.

Take heed to the false self appointed prophets, teachers and apostles folks, who seek to lead the sheep astray and away from the truth found in the Word of God by their many claims of calling down God’s Glory, or their other many deceptive presumptions: but don’t think for one second there are not true instances of God’s Glory being manifested.

“…then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;  So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God” verses 13-14

He was mentored by these men and women in the past along with their associates, (Bob Jones, Rick Joyner, Patricia King, etc.) and is continuing TO BE mentored by their members (Rick Joyner and his MorningStar associates) today. This means baring God’s direct intervention with Todd, he will still be following this same false Christ when he returns. Be prepared.

A careful study of Paul’s epistle to the Romans shows that Paul the Apostle was not ignorant of the sin and evil that was so prevalent in the Roman Empire. As a matter of fact Paul the Apostle addresses this issue first and foremost in the introduction of his letter to the Romans…he does this clearly in chapter one.

Paul clearly writes about the evils in the society of his day and clearly communicates The Lord’s Mind and Judgment on this matter – that the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men.

Romans 1:17
(18)  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

There was no way the Roman Empire was going to escape the Judgments of God if men continued in ungodliness and sin and refused to repent.

Signs-Wonders and the Straight & Narrow Road

There’s something I’ve wanted to look into for a while now. That being signs, wonders, miracles, visions, and all spiritual manifestations, and our Christian responsibility to not only discern the false but to discern when they are real–and truly from God.

We walk a straight and narrow road friends, and there is danger on both sides waiting for us.

On one side we can fall into the ditch of ‘believe all, test nothing’, in which our adversary will convince us that all such manifestations, signs, visions, etc. are of God; but there is another ditch on the opposite side. We seem to forget about that one. Its one I call ‘doubt and unbelief’, in which the same adversary will convince us all such signs, wonders and manifestations are fake–or even demonic.

I personally don’t think satan much cares which ditch we fall into, as long as we’re entrenched in one of them. Do you? After all, why should he,  for they are both filled with error and are both equally dangerous.

I’d like to look at this dilemma, and it is a dilemma for many Christians today; for no true believer wants to fall into deception, but neither do they want to be found denying something which is truly from God.

Anyway, more on this later…

Selah – There is a Fountain

Amen, there is a Fountain! The last few scenes in this clip which depict the grave clothes and our risen Savior, have always caused me to wonder…

We know the word tells us the napkin was wrapped or folded:

“Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.  So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.  And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.  Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,  And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself” John 20:3-7

But what about the grave clothes, were they in a pile or tossed aside, or were they still lying there, as they last appeared when left on the stone slab, but now minus what they had contained… like an empty glove: not disturbed at all?

USAA, 7 Mountains, Dutch Sheets

Dutch Sheets sent out 3 newsletters today from the USAA, (U.S. Apostolic Alliance) and I want to share a few portions of them with you, along with a couple links concerning the ‘Reclaiming The 7 Mountains’ teachings. I’ve posted quite a bit on this in the past, (ex. Seven Spheres of Influence), but to give you an idea of one goal of this aberrant theology, which is plain  dominionism, watch this small clip, “Sheep Invasion”.

That’s called religious militancy, which is a far cry from what Jesus commissioned us to do:

And he said unto them, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”  Mark 16

Jesus said, …”My kingdom is not of this world.” (Jn.18) and that his followers were called out of this world, …”I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out  of the world…I pray for them. I do not pray for the world…” (Jn.17)

These folks just don’t get it. They do not understand that until Jesus returns, the Kingdom of God is within, …“For indeed, the kingdom of God is ‘within you.” (Luke 17), not in or of this world,…“Friendship with the world is enmity to God. (Jam.4)

What happens when Americans try to baptize their souls in freedom and tradition, radical individualism and orthodoxy, all at the same time. *For instance: One scholar found a Methodist pastor’s daughter who calls herself a “Methodist Taoist Native American Quaker Russian Orthodox Buddhist Jew.”

DANCE OF THE APOTHECARY

In a vision I saw the dance of the apothecary.  He was God’s perfumer, anointed by the Lord to make anointing oils.  He was a little guy, maybe 5′ 5″ and was wearing a leather apron. He was appointed to make a specific anointing oil for each one.  I saw him going to individuals and the Holy Spirit would tell him what each one needed — one would need spikenard, another would need sweet myrrh, and so on.  And, for some it was a mix.  The apothecary never stopped dancing, and he would skip off to find the specific ingredients necessary to make the oil.  Once he had the oil mixed, he would take it and pour it upon each person’s head so that they would receive what they need for this season. Romans 1:17
(17)  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written. The just shall live by faith.

As we continue studying Paul’s Epistle to the Romans, we find that Christians in Rome did not live a very comfortable life…We see that they suffered persecution because of their faith in Jesus Christ. We see that they too, endured the same troubles that the Roman Empire faced at that time.

Preserving the Purity of the Gospel

The chief dangers to Christianity do not come from the anti-Christian systems.

Mohammedanism has never made inroads upon Christendom save by the sword. Nobody fears that Christianity will be swallowed up by Buddhism. It is corrupt forms of Christianity itself, which menace the life of Christianity.

Why make much of minor points of difference among those who serve the one Christ? Because a pure gospel is worth preserving; and is not only worth preserving, but is logically the only saving gospel. Those who overlay the gospel with man-made additions, no less than those who subtract from it God-given elements, are not preaching “the gospel” in another form, but are offering a different kind of gospel, which is essentially no gospel at all. They are troublers of Israel, who are perverting the gospel of Christ.

There are many lessons that Christians today can learn from the writings of Paul the Apostle in the epistle to the Romans. Just like we saw in the first part of this series, there were Christians who remained faithful to Jesus Christ during the Roman Global Empire. They faced many of the same challenges that we face today as Christians.

Today, we have many Christians who live in the most powerful nations of the world – Western Nations. We live in a secular world and one that is increasingly becoming more deeply secularized and, with strong antipathy towards Christianity.

“We’re On The Air” (maybe) – The Fairness Doctrine

Over the last week I’ve come across (and received in my inbox) numerous commentaries and articles from Christian groups concerning the possible reenactment of the Fairness Doctrine. President Obama has said more then once, he has no interest in doing this, so I’m somewhat puzzled at all the recent ‘bugaboo’ over the issue. Its true, he could change his mind. But so what if he does?

Prior to the 80′s and the Reagan administration, when the Fairness Doctrine was still in place (it was just repealed by the FCC in 1987) the Gospel was being preached; …and yes, even on radio. Surely some of you are old enough to remember this?.

So why would we believe the Gospel wouldn’t continue to go forth if this Doctrine is reinstated? Even if its NOT on the radio. God seemed to have no problem using His children to spread the ‘Good News’  for 1900 years before radio broadcasting began in the 1920′s.  What? Is God now dependent on radio… of course not. But if its His desire the radio airwaves continue to be used to get the Gospel out, then they will be, for He’ll see to it personally!

I’m wondering if the truth of the matter is not so much a concern for the Gospel continuing to be aired, but something else…

Kim Clement and Reincarnation

Forgive the double Clement posts today but I felt this was important and wanted you to have the opportunity to read it: especially those who still argue that Kim Clement is a prophet of God. This isn’t the first time he has alluded to reincarnation and aborted babies in one of his prophetic words. The point is its totally unbiblical. Period.
