Newest Weapon in the Culture Wars

HELP! “I’s can take no more!”

Has madness overtaken those Christians engaged in the culture wars? Are we to re-produce, have children (which are a GIFT from God Almighty) just so we can fill up the ranks in the culture army? Good grief folks…

We have sunk beyond loooow and have lost all perception of biblical Christianity and God’s gifts, if we would consider having children for such purposes as ‘culture ammunition’.

By Dave Daubenmire: BROKEN ARROWS

Americans had better start having babies and we better start having them fast. The “battle for the culture” is in danger of being lost for lack of ammunition. Apart from absolute Truth, the greatest weapon or asset any civilization will ever have is children. They are the guarantor of our American heritage…

Our nation is under an invasion and there is no one standing at the gate with whom they must speak. We must encourage Christian couples to start having babies. The future of our nation depends on them. (more here)

So, to win the culture wars, and to ‘outwit’ Muslims, we need to get moving and have children. You know what, like Lot my ‘soul is vexed’…I really can’t take much more of this nonsense coming from the ‘save America’ crowd.

They are fast becoming apostate.

CRY OF the FOOLISH VIRGIN(S)

Last week I posted a good message based on the 10 virgins in Matthew 25, which led to some excellent comments and thoughts being posted; (Behold the Bridegroom Cometh). The identity of the 5 foolish virgins has been examined [and debated] for ages by bible scholars: were they ever a part of the body of Christ, if they were what significance does their running out of oil have for us today? etc. etc.

Wise bible scholars have disagreed, so I wasn’t under the impression we would figure it all out and come into total agreement either, aha. Nevertheless it was fruitful for me to read everyone’s opinions. Good healthy bible discussion among friends can always be beneficial!

Anyway, wouldn’t you know it–today I received a letter from Andrew Strom’s ministry with a word concerning the foolish virgins. The author also writes of a vision. Use your own discernment in accepting or rejecting it..

One more thing: The author ends with quoting Hebrews 3:12-

“Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God”

Some time ago, while in prayer, I asked the Lord what the Holy Spirit was saying to the Church today. Immediately I heard-

To day if ye will hear his voice,  harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:  When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.  Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways….Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.. Hebrews 3

I took that very seriously folks. Unbelief is our enemy today; it can cause us to miss out–just like it caused the generation which went into the wilderness to miss out on entering into their natural promised-land, it can cause us to miss out on eternity with Christ.

Directions to avoid the Power of a Prevailing Apostasy

This evening I came across the link to an online book at Monergism by John Owen: The Nature of Apostasy. Its based on an  exposition of Hebrews 6:4-6;

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

I haven’t read it all but did read a couple chapters. Its something I may go back to and read in its entirety over the next few days. It was written by John Owen in 1676, but truth is truth…so its timeless in its wisdom.

Chapter 13, Directions to avoid the power of a prevailing apostasy, is what I’d like to pull a few quotes from in this post.

**

Our first direction of this kind is, that we should all labor for a true, real sense of the concernment of the glory of God in this matter, and what is our duty with respect thereunto. Where this is not, men are under the power of that security which is the broad way and wide gate leading unto apostasy; yea, where this is not the first and principal thing wherewith we are affected in any evil that falls out in the world, our hearts are not upright in what we profess.

When God threatened to disinherit the Israelites and destroy the whole congregation as one man, in the wilderness, because of their provoking rebellion, that wherewith Moses, in all the circumstances of his relation unto them and interest in them, was affected withal, was the concernment of the glory and name of God therein, Numbers 14:11-19. And it was so with Joshua in the sin and punishment of the same people. “What wilt thou do,” saith he, “unto thy great name?” chap. 7:8,9; words which have been made a public derision in the days wherein we live.

Summer’s arrived early and so have Angels..

Yesterday I was thinking back to this time last year–yes I know its still spring, but from April through out the summer last year, it will, in my mind, forever  be the ‘summer of angels’. Beginning with Lakeland and Bentley’s angel obsession, it was like ‘Angel-mania’ hit the Churches across the globe. I recall getting comments (defending Lakeland, Todd, and this phenomena) here on the blog from as far away as Finland and Germany: it was an interesting time.

As I said, this was on my mind yesterday, along with the question, what will THIS summer hold–will it be another season of increased Angel sightings and wacky meetings called revivals? Are we to hear more about trips to heaven and visits to Paul and Abraham’s mansions, open portals and fire tunnels? I don’t know about you but I’m expecting it..

The winter of ‘Bentley Discontent’ has passed and my spiritual bones are telling me to get prepared for more shenanigans from the entire kooky family this summer.  Below is something which caught my attention:

Elijah List: “Evangelism Angels Come From Africa to California”

I went to Cape Town, South Africa, on March 21, 2009 to speak at a prophetic conference with Barbara Claassen of Prophetic Breakthrough Ministries. As I landed, God began to speak to me about a radical change about to take place that would set into motion a chain reaction that would positively impact the entire earth for the Kingdom of God. Immediately I began having dreams of angels visiting me. At the conference, I noticed the increase of angelic activity..

THE MISS CALIFORNIA CONTROVERSY

Since this whole debacle came to light and hit the Internet, especially the blogosphere, I just plain didn’t have any desire to post about it, LOL.

I mean, what was the controversy? A young contestant, Miss California believes (rightly) marriage should be between a man and woman and said so, and predictably, one of the judges who is not only homosexual but a homosexual activist, used the opportunity to slam and ridicule the young woman publicly. So what’s new? Granted it was extremely ugly, but both were being who they are, and also predictably now, both sides of the homosexual culture war are milking it for all its worth.

I read today that a conservative group is now planning to use this young woman, Carrie Prejean, in a new $1.5 million ad campaign funded by the National Organization for Marriage: (see Miss California to star in TV ad from conservative group)

What good this ad and her appearance will do in ‘winning’ the culture war on homosexuality and/or ‘gay marriage’ is debatable: Though I see it accomplishing nothing. The line has been drawn and identified: you’re either on one side of the issue or the other, already.

Anyway, Paul Proctor, who is always controversial, has a post up today which was interesting. His criticism is pointed toward those (Christians) who have raked Carrie Prejean over the ‘hot coals’ of hell for her even appearing in the Miss USA Pageant.

THE MISS CALIFORNIA CONTROVERSY

By Paul Proctor

Well, Miss California’s flogging line seems to have grown a little over the last few days, but not for the reasons you might think.

The first one to step forward and berate Carrie Prejean for her biblical view of marriage was, as most of us now know, a homosexual judge, followed by other pageant officials who largely benefit from the “pro-gay” crowd and agenda. Then along came a few singers and celebrities who chimed in for their daily kudos from the liberal media.

And now, joining the chorus of critics are some rather angry Christian feminists – and I don’t mean liberals in the church either.

I realize that the term “Christian feminist” is considered an oxymoron in most conservative circles, and that feminists within the church are usually thought of as liberal; but I believe they also exist among conservatives and bible believers as well.

Dutch Sheets: 7 Day Prayer Strategy, “Reclaiming the 7 Mountains of Culture”

They never give up. This below from the desk of NAR’s Dutch Sheets:

I am also asking you to join me in a 7 Day Prayer Strategy May 1-7. Each day we will pray together for a different area of influence in our society. These seven important prayer strategies will carry us through May 7, the National Day of Prayer.

Now, what is it Sheets wants you to do?

To pray and reclaim “The 7 Mountains of Culture“.

How, can be read HERE

“We all agree that the society to be transformed is not just one big conglomerate, but a unified whole that is made up of several vital pieces, each one of which must take its own path toward transformation. These segments of society should be seen as apostolic spheres.” –C. Peter Wagner, The Church in the Workplace, (Regal, 2006)

“If the world is to be won, these are the (7) mountains that mold the culture and the minds of men. Whoever controls these mountains controls the direction of the world and the harvest therein.’” — Lance Wallnau

quote…

Wagner goes on to describe how each of these 7 mountains or spheres will become an “apostolic sphere.” Apostles “are the only ones who will be able to change the power structure at the top of each mountain.”

Is this guy becoming more weird or what? I have never seen anyone which claims Christianity attempt to incorporate so many non-Christian religions and pagan practices into their weird mystical beliefs, as John Crowder does.  I’m not going to post this latest video clip, because to be frank I don’t want it here. Down the Rabbit Hole: Barna, America’s “Faith Tribes” Can Restore Nation

And people have asked me why I’ve never given much credibility to the Barna Group polls concerning Christianity…

This is a good one–good in good only for a laugh. Barna is getting ready to release a new book, “The Seven Faith Tribes”, in which he has written its time for the 7 major faith ‘tribes’ to come together to ‘restore and save the nation’.

CPost: Researcher: America’s Faith Tribes Can Restore Nation

A leading Christian researcher contends that the seven “faith tribes” in America are the key to restoring stability and strength to a nation struggling with a formidable economic crisis in addition to a myriad of other social ills.

These seven faith tribes, or dominant religious groups, are vastly different when it comes to theology and doctrinal positions. However, they share common values that can be utilized to make the nation great again, maintains bestselling author George Barna in his latest book The Seven Faith Tribes.

“Our faith tribes are central to the development and application of people’s worldviews, which in turn produce the values on which we base our daily decisions,” Barna said. “It is on the basis of such values that a nation rises to greatness or plummets to oblivion.”

Based on his analysis of more than 30,000 personal interviews with Americans, Barna identifies seven faith tribes: Casual Christians (66 percent of the adult population); Captive Christians (16 percent); Jews (2 percent); Mormons (2 percent); Pantheists (2 percent); Muslims (0.5 percent); and Skeptics (11 percent).

These faith tribes can be mobilized to help restore the nation. Through their common values, they can help carry out strategies related to empowering values-focused leaders; redirecting the media; redefining the efforts of families; getting members of faith tribes to pursue a bigger purpose, and more.

In The Seven Faith Tribes, which will be released May 1, Barna goes into detail describing each of the seven tribes – their religious beliefs and practices, their primary lifestyles and attitudes, their political inclinations and recent voting history, and the values that characterize them. He also examines the 20 common values that the faith tribes share.

“If those who are mostly responsible for developing and reinforcing our values can focus on the elements most integral to the restoration process, we can return to national health and growth, as well as positive global influence,” Barna contends.

  • More on this interfaith dominionist recommendation from Barna, HERE

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?  And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?  And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.  Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.  And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

Global Economic Crisis: Fear is Your Worst Enemy

By Kato Mivule

There is no doubt that we live in the last days and there is a lot that is going on around the world besides the current global economic crisis, not to mention the ‘Swine Flu’ epidemic. However, paranoia, irrationality, anxiety, and sensationalism are the driving force of fear, especially among some  Christian circles.

Matthew 10:29-31
(29)  Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
(30)  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
(31)  Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

I decided not to post articles on the latest news about the economic crisis, terror attacks, earthquakes, swine flue etc; not because the stories are not important but the perspective is lost as Christians, especially in the so-called End Time Prophetic circles, get overly sensationalistic and lose all rational and become frivolous, as anxiety becomes the main drive (behind) their eschatology.

Daniel’s countdown from exile to Messiah

Excellent in depth teaching on the significance of Daniel’s Seventy Weeks from Messianic Good News: The second omer – Daniel’s countdown from exile to Messiah

Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and upon your holy city … Daniel 9: 24

In a previous article, Counting the omer – part 1, we considered the history of the Exodus from the Passover to Shavuot (Pentecost) and saw how this history was “codified” in the Jewish festive calendar. We also saw how Israel failed to realise its prophetic purpose under the Law of Moses, and in the very after-glow of the revelation at Mount Sinai, failed to enter its promised Land.

We further considered the importance of the seven week countdown from the presentation of the omer of first-fruits to Shavuot. Historically, the seven sevens began with Israel’s departure from Egypt and culminated with the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai.

Joyner defends Todd’s Angel doctrines

Joyner has moved on in the clips to defending Todd’s doctrines now. I expected this.

Rick Joyner:

“(I) personally will defend this” (Todds Lakeland teachings on angels)

“(In) normal christianity we should be seeing angels all the time”

“we need to get use to (these) spiritual experiences”

“Personally, I’ve seen a lot of angels”

*Note how Todd goes into how “every spiritual experience must be anchored in the word of God”, and uses this to try and defend his extra-biblical angel teachings.. (bout 4 minutes into the clip)..

You will also hear Todd boldly lie: recall the horrible night at Lakeland when he pleaded, yelled, etc for God to ‘send the angels?”  (see video:Angels-Angels-Angels!! Hear Todd Bentley shout for angels!) In this clip today he denies he has ever sought or asked for any angel experience.

He goes on to speak about ‘emma’..and the ‘healing angel’ (bout 6 minutes into the clip)

Don’t you know? Havent you heard, yet?

He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.  For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.  And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Revelation 22:11-17

NO SHAME, NO BLAME

Isn’t it interesting when the world sees what the Church many times misses?

Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD. Jeremiah 8:12

NYTimes: Shame Is Fleeting

Barely one year ago, when New York Governor Eliot Spitzer made that cringe-inducing appearance with his wife after being named in a prostitution scandal, a friend of mine with keen radar about such things had an instant reaction: “We’ll never see him again.”

But here he is on the latest cover of Newsweek.

Not only are we seeing plenty of him, after a round of television appearances as well, but it appears that Spitzer is blazing a new road to redemption — a shortcut, at that. Polls show him more popular than the current governor of New York, which isn’t saying much.

Of late, moralists, ministers, politicians and celebrities of varying degrees of self-regard have been felled by scandal only to rise after doing minimal time in the desert of ill-repute.

Shame, thy names are many, and they are most often coupled with hypocrisy. Newt Gingrich (infidelity-affair with young congressional aide while denouncing Bill Clinton after his affair with young intern). Alex Rodriguez (lying about steroids while holding himself up as a role model to kids). Jesse Jackson (fathering a child out of wedlock while moralizing on subjects great and small). Bill Bennett (gambling problems while lecturing on the decline of personal responsibility). Britney Spears (a mess, enough to fill the entire entertainment category).

Every one of them has made a comeback, and seems free to carry on without someone mentioning the asterisk. The Reverend Jackson, who said he needed to “take some time off to revive my spirit and reconnect with my family,” was back in an hour or so. Ditto Gingrich, who blamed “periods of weakness,” and has now joined Rush Limbaugh among the fallen faces that represent the Republican Party’s image to the world. (more here)

My thoughts went to Todd Bentley and Ted Haggard, and to the many leaders or preachers who have fallen. The Church in taking on the very character of the world over the past decades also accepted the worlds way of thinking concerning ‘come-backs’. Everyone loves a success story, one which heralds the telling of one fallen who has returned to the fold–and we should: Its the story of the prodigal son told over and over. Its a beautiful story of our Father’s love, grace and forgiveness.

But in the case of ministers, preachers, or church leaders, its not an automatic free card, which enables the one restored to the body, to fast-track it back into the pulpit or ministry. Nor is it a guarantee they will ever be (or should ever be) back in public ministry.

The world AND the Church has entered a season of no shame..and we don’t seem to care.

News from the ‘Prophetic Twilight-Zone’

That would be from the Elijah List and Wagner’s ‘conquering the 7 mountains’ org. Just a few odd, interesting, and wacky items.

I received an invite tonight to Peter Wagner’s up coming conference “You Shall Not Want: How to Open the River of Supply and Wealth!”. The world is in chaos and hell is constantly enlarging its boarders, but these strange people want me to pay $45.00 ($80.00 for couples) to have them tell me how to wage war on the transfer of wealth.

Quote..

Wealth is an essential subject to understand in the Kingdom of God! The transfer of resources under Kingdom rule is essential for the Harvest in days ahead.

We must recognize the war over wealth includes the harvest of people and souls!

We are calling the Body of Christ together on June 4-6, 2009 in Vineland, New Jersey to declare an opening of the river of supply and wealth! Our speakers include Peter Wagner (convener), Chuck Pierce, Pat Francis and Peter Roselle. Personal ministry will be available for you to gain strength to contend and “flow” through new channels in the future. So come with a mind and heart to:

Behold the Bridegroom Cometh

This is a good message, taken from a sermon preached in 1928 by Thomas Houghton. The topic of the 10 virgins in Matthew 25, and its significance, has been like many parables (and prophecy’s) concerning the end days or coming of our Lord: there is more then one interpretation to be found. To me, it seemed simple: Its about being awake and prepared.

There is a dire warning within it as well, one which speaks not just of the 5 foolish virgins being without oil, but of how all 10 virgins (the Church as a whole) will be sleeping. Jesus’ words appear to imply that all (the Church) will indeed awaken directly prior to his return (how soon before it doesn’t say) but that only half will be prepared to enter in.

I’ve often wondered at that picture. One example I’ve thought of concerning the 5 foolish, is that of Samson:

And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him. Judges 16:20

What I’m not sure I agree with is who the author/preacher believes the 5 foolish virgins represent. Perhaps you’d care to offer an opinion..

Matthew 25:1-13Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.  And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.  They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:  But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.  While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.  And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.  Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.  And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.  But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.  And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.  Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.  But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.  Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

The subject for our consideration is our Lord’s answer to the question “what shall be the sign of Thy coming and of the end of the world (age)?”

The main answer was given in Matthew 24.

In that chapter our Lord indicated what would be the general character of the present age until His return. The Lord, however, proceeded to give further instruction to His people, and so He told them what would be the condition of the world when He came. Instead of being millennial, it would be antediluvian (Matthew 24:37-41).

Further, He proceeded to teach how His coming would affect the professing Church.

This is the general topic of the three parables of Matthew 25. They all refer to His coming, and they all refer to it in relation to the professing Church.

“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins.”

Dutch Sheets, the USAR, 7 Mountains, & Pride and Deception

This may interest you. I received a letter this evening from the Dutch Sheets group, once known as the USAA (United States Apostolic Alliance) which now goes by the USAR (United States Alliance for Reformation), concerning their recent conference.

Two things struck me while reading it–one being the heavy leaning toward the 7 Mountains of culture/strategy false doctrines. (please see: USAA, 7 Mountains, Dutch Sheets) and the sense of spiritual pride and false authority which emanated from the letter.

Dominionists have the strangest way of seeing the world around them, and no sense of the real Kingdom of God: what it really is, where it is, or basically, anything about it. Its why their views on either are so twisted and hard for the average bible believing Christian to grasp.

It also astounds me that they have no idea of just how prideful they sound, and how they cannot discern it (this ugly trait) in themselves or each other. It most assuredly must be a case of group deception or mass delusion. Its the only explanation I can come up with.

Below are some highlights: (website here and here)

We just held our annual national conference for the United States Alliance for Reformation (formerly United States Apostolic Alliance).  It was one of the most significant times I have been a part of. Everyone in attendance that I spoke with said the same.  One of the speakers told me afterward, “this is the kind of meeting that 20 years from now we may be saying, ‘it began at the USAR conference on ’09.’” I agree.

Notes: The working of evil spirits…

War on the Saints by Jessie Penn-Lewis, (and Evan Roberts) is a fascinating book, but there is also some very interesting reading within the books Appendix. Here are a few excerpts: (*Read the last excerpt, The working of evil spirits in Christian gatherings–its a fascinating picture of how unclean spirits can appear as the Holy Spirit)

Demoniacal activity in later times, From “Spirit Manifestations.” By Sir Robert Anderson [1841 - 1918]:

“The Gospels testify to the activity of demons during the ministry of Christ on earth; and the Epistles warn us of a RENEWAL OF DEMONIACAL ACTIVITY in the “latter times,” before His return. “All Scripture is God-breathed”; but it would seem that sometimes the revelation was made with special definiteness, and this particular warning is prefaced by the words; “the Spirit saith expressly.” And it relates not to any new development of moral evil in the world, but to a new apostasy in the professing Church, a cult promoted by “seducing spirits” of a highly sensitive spirituality, and a more fastidious morality than Christianity itself will sanction (1 Tim. 4)

Demon Possession among Christians, The Case of a Christian Lady: Extracts from private letters, by an Evangelist of repute in Germany:

“. . . In the Spring of this year (1912) [this servant of God] who was possessed, came here, and the spirits possessing her spoke through her in voices utterly unlike her own. They would utter through her the most awful blasphemies against God, and against our Lord Jesus Christ, and would prophecy concerning the Church . . .

Religion News Blog: The US and Torture

I’m really glad to see one of the top Christian Apologetic websites speak out on this issue.

quote..

Some of our readers have objected to the inclusion in Religion News Blog of news reports regarding US human rights violations. However, we believe that religion should inform the way we behave. Religion and ethics are inseparably interwoven — and when you have a former president who, while claiming to be on a mission from God, went to war on the basis of lies, while at the same time waging war on the very court that prosecutes the illegal behavior he condoned, Christians and others must speak up.

Another reason to address these issues is that the US government to-date still publishes reports on what it considers to be human rights violation elsewhere in the world — seemingly oblivious to the fact that hypocrisy is not a strong position from which to argue.

The art of the apologetic non-apology

Good article tonight at Western Standard blog by Rick Hiebert. He presents some interesting ideas about what is going on behind the scene between Joyner and Wagner, concerning Todd Bentley.

Quote..

It’s probably only a matter of days before Todd Bentley returns to working as an evangelist, according to a video update released by his friend and mentor Rick Joyner on the latter’s website today.

In “Todd and Ministry”, Mr. Joyner says that he is powerless to stop God from overriding the restoration process which was allegedly necessary to bring the Canadian preacher back to work. And gee whiz if he doesn’t see evidence that this may be happening.

One nagging question that readers may have is why are Mr. Bentley’s critics still assailing him, when he says that he is sorry? Well, I can make an educated guess. Although I am not in this camp, I do think that it is in the public’s interest to bring blatant lying to their attention.

Todd’s Restoration is producing ‘miracles…’

So says Rick Joyner in the latest clip titled Todd and Ministry.

According to Joyner, not only are miracles taking place but while Todd has been appearing in these restoration clips, he is experiencing ‘open visions’ and receiving ‘words of knowledge’…Plus, he’s laying hands on people.

I have nothing to say…

The Christian Media Takes on Jon Meacham

This is an interesting item. It would appear IHops leader and one of the  Elijah List’s own false prophets & dominionists, Lou Engle, is calling for the firing of  NewsWeek editor/author Jon Meacham, for his recent article The Decline and Fall of Christian America. (See, The End of Christian America)

Quote..

Politico’s Michael Calderone reported that the Rev. Lou Engle, founder of TheCall – “a movement emphasizing prayer, worship and fasting for Spiritual breakthrough.” – had sent a letter to NEWSWEEK’s chairman calling for the firing of Meacham. (More Here: The (Christian) Media Takes on Jon Meacham)

Guess it didn’t matter to NAR-ite and false prophet Engle that much of the article included statements taken from an interview with Albert Mohler.

Is it any wonder the lost think Christian’s are nuts? sigh…

HT to Polycarp, and also an amen to his word on this matter:

Lou Engle, the founder of the uber-Dominionist group, TheCall, has called for the firing of an editor of Newsweek. How very Christian of him.

Indeed, how Christian of him. Nothing like showing your ugly fruit to the world Lou…way to go.

After the Resurrection…Jesus Appears

And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.  Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John 20:26-29

After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.  There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.  Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.

But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.  Then Jesus saith unto them, children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.  And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.  Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord.

Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.  And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits) dragging the net with fishes.  As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.  Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught. Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.  Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.  This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.

So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. John 21:1-17

“CUFI Sunday”, or How to Ignore Christ and Biblical Christianity

News from the CUFI front. I know this is beating the proverbial dead-horse when posting again, concerning Hagee and his CUFI organization, but every time an article comes my way concerning a new meeting, it is all I can do to restrain myself from yelling at the computer or weeping. Tonight its an article by Charisma’s Steve Strang reporting on a trip he just returned from; a meeting with Hagee and his CUFI supporters in Texas. They’re gearing up for “CUFI Sunday“, which is to take place on the 17th.

I popped over to CUFI’s website just to take a look at what this (taking place this Sunday in CHURCHES) was about. Was it to do with Christ, the Gospel, or evangelizing Israel? Why no, of course not. Though he’s asking pastors to devote Sunday in their churches, WITH their congregations to his (Hagee’s cause) Jesus Christ is to be left out of the process and day. Do I sound disgusted? You better believe it…

This organization and its ideology is a sham… it’s not, nor has it ever been Christ centered. Centered? Heck, Christ isn’t even included within the fringe of this group! He’s no where to be found, which = nonChristian.

I just returned from an important “Israel Summit” in San Antonio, Texas, with about 140 leaders from around the United States. We came away deeply concerned about the situation in Israel because of the threat from Iran and with an awareness that what we are doing through Christians United For Israel (CUFI) is more important than ever.

I am motivated to encourage as many people as possible to participate in several upcoming CUFI events. The first is Sunday, May 17, which is called CUFI Sunday.
