Hmm….Todd vs. Todd. Interesting…
This lady was on the phone today telling me about her divorce. She says she had twins and that the pregnency was real hard on her and left her “damaged”. She says her husband told her that he couldn’t be with her anymore and that he had to see other women. They divorced, and she was left with very little. She didn’t even finish college because she supported her husband as he got his Major taken care of. She wrote some of his papers too. We talked for maybe about half an hour about it, I gave her some bonus minutes in the end and some credit off her account, lol. Reminds me now of Todd Bentley. He threw away a woman he was supposed to be dedicated to. A woman who bore his children and takes care of them for him as he’s out making cash off the backs of the innocent. Such men as that do not think about others, they think only about themselves.
I would never do such a thing, especially not for a woman that looks like that! Now, ermm, give me a Blondie and there may be trouble
I think of that brand name , the indelible “Magic Marker”, we use to categorize our boxes etc.
No amount of branding is enough . “WOLF!, LIAR!, DECEIVER!, HERETIC!, DEVIL!, BEAST!,FALSE PROPHET!, FALSE APOSTLE! SATANIST!….”VIPER!
Paul, John the Baptist, Jude, Peter, and our Lord Jesus also, used like words to MARK the Demonic Deceiver that would consume the Body energized with the power of Satan himself.
Let us never forget that not a single verified healing ever took place in Lakeland; not a single “Ress-errr-ecction” from the dead…[what a joke..], nor, as far as we know, one salvation…[thank God!...for that would mean a soul was saved into their Hellish camp...]
What did come forth, however , was a plethora of satanic and devilish experiences and testimonies of fairies and unclean spirits[... that removed your intestines at the fast food restaurant...], 100 days of adultery and fornication, theft of the offerings, general drunkenness, and unclean and unbiblical doctrines that accomplished biker boot theology, and WWF style drop kicks on the aged and infirmed. The worship was always in the pitch dark, with pounding waves of heavy metal mixed with waves and streams of electric strobes revealing the writhing and pulsating worshipers….like dancers in the lake of fire.
I, for one , do not believe that the Toddster will ever make it back to his former impish glory…at least not to the point that the true and holy church will ever be affected by him significantly. The devil , as usual, has overplayed his hand…over done it. Todd just could not stop lying, and exaggerating, even to this day. If only he would have shut up after 17 resurrections…..

God has His own Magic Marker though, given to the Church. Here it is again, in this well done video, marking it out, in black and white. It’s a thick book written on this joker. In it are all of the names of the useless NAR animals, and all of the seers and prophets and “Apostles” that have endorsed him. The end for him, and those in it, and those deceived by him, is a burning fire of sulpher and brimstone.

LORD MORE MERCY FOR HIS DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR
The thing is he is still very arrogant in his videos – in the video called Jesus our Healer he says :
… people that are carrying what God poured out in Lakeland and carrying it to the ends of the earth…
… I’ve always believed I was the first of many – first fruits that whole generation was going to be raised up…
… the great miracles that happened when I prayed for people…
In his mind and that of Joyner Lakeland was a great revival (btw did we ever actually see Joyner there) – he is going to come back, he is going to draw multitudes to new “revivals”. He sees himself as the forerunner of revivals that will take place in the future – as one of the greats.
He is still as this video says very “puffed up”.
(Manfred – I’m reading that book slowly – up to about chapter 7 and things are becoming clearer.)
So, while I may agree with some of the content that this video presents, I do not like the way in which it is presented. It is sensationalistic and seems to be reactionary.
I thing that we need a level of discernment and to call out and approach that which is false, however I feel that this video does more harm than good.

They seem to have no discernment at all otherwise surely they would know that they are digging the whole deeper by continuing with this lakeland deception.
Actually thats what wound me up also. I consider myself the first fruits. Heaven help us it can’t be that kind of a fruit can it.
I honestly don’t mean any disrespect ,but to have to swallow the ‘chaff’ gets too much at times.
Does it strike anyone else here that we Christians may be contributing to the spread of this lunacy by giving these people so much of our attention in the first place?
I’m not speaking of folks who bring their aberrant teachings or behavior to light, but I’m speaking of our collective human tendencies to be drawn to the sensational and the outrageous even as Christians, and thus unwittingly keep the spotlight negatively focused on Christianity as a whole.
Notice the people who have received lots of media attention, both in the secular and Christian press, in recent times, for instance, Todd, Ted Haggard, Jerry Falwell, Pat Robinson, Sarah Palin and now Miss California. All have had something sensational in their lives that has drawn national, and unfortunately, for the most part, negative attention to Christianity.
Yet, Christian leaders who do represent what I would call more mainstream Christianity, like say John Piper or Charles Stanley are probably virtually unknown outside of the Christian community. There are many unsung others, of course. Not to mention the quiet men like my pastor who seek no personal recognition but simply minister as they are called to by God.
I sincerely hope Christians will not support any attempt to resurrect Todd’s so called ‘ministry’ in the name of a phony ‘restoration’. Todd himself, yes, but only if he is sincerely repentant before God, which at this junture it doesn’t appear that he is.
But most of all, I wonder if folks ever consider what this kind of bizarre stuff does to God’s reputation among unbelievers.

william.n, I don’t think this video is at all sensationalist. It simply points out the lies and contradictions that characterize Todd. But falsely claiming tens of thousands of healings and dozens of resurrections (as he did) is sensationalist. I fail to see what harm there is in exposing a fraud.

This is harder for me to explain than I wish it was and I would ask you all to refute and correct me if I am in error with this, however I also ask that you will sit and wait in quietness, as the video plays, for the Spirit of Truth to confirm or deny not only the message that the creator of this video wants to give us, but also the manner in which it is presented.
sidefall – May you consider the music that is in this video as well as the images that are depicted alongside the videos. I would argue that it does more than “simply point” things out. I find the video itself has an air of seeking to influence the viewer of what the the creator of the video believes. This is done through both the music and language that has been chosen as commentary, it is in the juxtaposition of restoration videos with Lakeland clips, or how about the blatant mockery of Todd’s sin of adultry (at 3:05 and 4:25-4:50 in the video). Many of these things are not appropriate and I believe they are there to provoke a response rather than to “simply point out” Truth.
(To give a few examples..)Initially I get the sense that this is ominous. Music has a sway over the soul that we often do not realize and it immediately sets the tone for this video as well. Look at the dark tones of the music. Listen to it as it swells and tries to affect your senses and emotions.
And the commentary screams “Look what Todd has done and is still doing! Is he not still in sin? Is he still not arrogant? Look at this, he contradicts the Bible!”
Are all of these things true? I would seek to judge rightly, by the Spirit, and agree that they are in fact true, but it is in the presentation that the video seeks to influence us joining in with the creator of the video, and join in the condemnation of the situation and the people that have been involved, rather than have us rely upon the leading of the Most High, and pray for true and humble restoration and return to the MOST HIGH through the correction brought about by the body of Christ.
I would wonder if this video has been done at the will of the Most High or if it is something that has sprung up out of the heart of man.
It is harmful in that it is another bandwagon to jump on, and it supplies us with another person to condemn and use a scapegoat to point out how blatantly wrong the apostate church has become.
It is also harmful in that I believe it is operating in the manner that the Powers of the air themselves work. The video seeks to cast influence and have us submit to the guidance and direction of someone (the creator of the video) with whom we know little or nothing about and who is not in community with us or we with them. If we partake in that, and agree with them in what they are doing, then we are living in support of a system of the world that we have no part in.
It seems to be a fad to go after and “point out to people what is wrong with someone else.” There is a line between correction (or exposing the truth) and pointing out and defaming someone for what they have done for too long. This video may come under the guise of exposing the falsity of what Todd Bentley says he is and what he actually is, but there is a difference between exposing what has been in darkness into light, and continuing to dwell upon it in the public sphere for far too long.
So in summary, [if that's possible
] I hold issue with this video because of the means and the manner in which it is given; I hold issue with this video because it is continuing to criticisize a situation (and the people that have been involved) well beyond when it should have been.
[This is a subject that is expansive and can be talked about and rehashed in many different ways because it is about a system of values and a way of being. It is something more than what we say and do.]
When will begin to test all things, even those that are true in appearance, by the Spirit of Truth & Peace that dwells within the true saints? When will we ask for the grace to seek the true and perfect will of the MOST HIGH with every single breath that we take?

With Mr Bentley I see only ‘I’ in the front.
JESUS ALWAYS SAW US IN THE FRONT WHEREVER HE WALKED. HE WAS BOTH THE SERVANT AND THE SERVER.
Mr Bentley in false humility serves who, (I am the first fruit said he, the forunner said he).
His manner is not in line with A HUMBLE LORD OF GREAT KNOWLEDGE, GREAT LOVE, GREAT COMPASSION.
DEMONIC MEANS FALSE. Of something other than and he bares witness in false. For the Lord to use anyone in great power they have to be emptied of all self, literally. If he was speaking on behalf of the Father you would be in no doubt, AND THE ENEMY BRINGS DOUBT NOT OUR FATHER.
The Lord asked me to fast for 40 days and I obey’d. He ministered to me during that time. I got to know him but for the most part my ‘self’. When I had finished I knew he loved me. I had only fluids to survive on. Within another two and a half months he took me to another 4o days. HIS LOVE KEPT ME ALIVE.
HIS COMPASSION IS GENTLE, LOVING, YET DETERMINED.
He would not let me falter, nor give in, but he showed me places of me that had been wounded, he showed me places of grief that went deep, but he showed me his wounds to and his depth. When you have nothing to gift anymore, nothing to say anymore, nothing to be anymore, and no hope anymore, then you know him. He was betrayed and during that time so was I, but the end showed me the wheat from the chaff and that was more precious than gold. I knew who I wanted to serve and he had a server.
My standards are high because of that time. That was his point. But I have also the lowest in my heart because I went there.
Todd has, it seems to me, no low(ly) and it hurts when I know my lord to be the lowest of the low yet the highest of the HIGH.
When the lord is in the driving seat, man is not.
The journey is precious that we all take with him and should not be belittled, nor should his power and/or authority.
at the end I knew who I was. WORTHY. Thats why I love him.
William, i believe i know, at least in part, what you’re getting at…let me explain.
In the past i’ve come across clips at youtube with pointed out erroneous teachings and false teachers, but after watching them through, decided not to post them or the link.
My decision[s] not to, were based on a number of things.
Sometimes it was because i felt they went way over-board, and spent more time attacking the person then their unbiblical teachings.
Other times it may have been because within the clip the person who created it had grouped other bible teachers/preachers (whom i believe are good bible-based teachers/preachers) in with one who taught error.
My point is we do have to be discerning even with clips which point out error or false teachers/prophets–i agree. Not only with video clips but articles.
I’m like you in that i’d rather just have facts presented, along with using the bible to show the error, concerning the teachings etc of these bogus prophets and teachers, rather than harp on their personal lives. In the case of these videos, which do help many times, most everything besides the facts within them, is the flesh reacting anyway…
