Youtube’s Local Pastor is back at it. His newest clip had me laughing out loud at the song choice; a tune which unfortunately, was a favorite here on local C&W stations at one time.

There really aren’t any words to describe how I feel after watching this….in fact, I could only make it to “this was this Chinese gentlemen….” …what does that have to do with anything…black, white, chinese, italian…who cares…you are either in Christ or not in Christ…born again or not…and if you are truly born again, I doubt seriously that the Holy Spirit would ever tell you kick an old woman in the face, drop kick someone with your biker boot…or do anything hurtful in the name of God. The fact that people were watching him (Todd) like he was doing a comedy act and calling it “God” …makes my heart heavy. …If he “comes back” then do we have to endure more of the same in the name of the Lord. I think of Don Quixote..[Cervantes..] and his many battles, from the great Titans, to the minuscule Oompaloompa’s, which, of course, all turned out to be nothing more than Psychotic delusions. Whether Bentley ever really believed his own fantasies, or was caught up in similar delusions of grandeur is immaterial; his bent was, and is, to get YOU to believe them…and then control you to support him…[fairies and angels and trips to Heaven with Abraham and 30 + RESURRECTIONS from the DEAD..]
However, there is a problem. Bentley has been discredited and defamed even more than Don Quixote, and proved to be a more fantastic deceiver, in lieu of the prowess of the INTERNATIONAL media! Let us not forget that he was BANNED from Great Britain, and starred on Nightline, squirming in the capable hands of no less than Giraldo Rivera…[.smirking as he roasted Todd, enjoying lie after lie as he reeled him in..]…and that is not counting millions on the internet, that watch these videos like local Pastor produces..[very powerful,,].
Holy Spirit filled Christian people need not worry. Bam-Bam got nailed…but I suppose there is always the naive and innocent to hunt for. I for one don’t think he’ll make it, and I hope he takes down Joyner, and the NAR with him, if it has not already happened. They are all on the same fantastic voyage.
I pray you are right Tom, that he is thwarted in making a comeback .

I actually listened to it 2 days ago–the thing which stuck out was Todd’s ‘new book’ which is in process of being put together:

It has been a long while since I saw this clip and I have to say my gut reaction is one of sadness and weeping. I just don’t understand how people can be so gullible with this.
Well, I know how and why, because God gave them over to wanting to hear the things that will tickle their ears, but even now.
I believe that God’s judgment will not be pretty when the time comes… He is divorced and has caused adultery. Not my calling it as I see it but from the very words of our Lord… Math 5:31-32, “It has been said,’ Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce. But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes het to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced women commits adultery”.
Matt 19:9, “I tell you (Jesus speaking) that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another women commits adultery”.
Luke 16:19, ” Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another women commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced women commits adultery” This man, if his ex-wife remarries has caused another to commit adultery. This is not my words but the words of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Paul says in 1 Cor7:27, “Are you married? Do not seek a divorce!
What are the consequences of adultry?
Mat 5:29 (in reference to adultry) “…it is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.” Rom 7:2-3, “.. for example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive..” “… So then, if she remarries another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress.”
So as far as I can tell from the very scriptures, Todd Bently has now put his ex-wife in a position of becoming an adulteress if she remarries and according to the words of Jesus if another man marries her he is put in a place of becoming an adulterer. The bible states that adulterers will not recieve the kingdom of God. Todd bently also does not meet the qualifications written in Timothy and Titus of being an elder, bishop, or any other person in the position of taking care of the church. This man most likely will end up back on the platform, if so I pray that the Lord will shut it down quickly.
Pj – if you go to the Morningstar site the video “growing in faith 15.5″ says some more about the forthcoming book. Rick Joyner says at the beginning of that video that they are running out of material to address – excuse me – I don’t think so. For example the violence on stage was never addressed. We still don’t know even simple facts such as date of divorce, date of wedding.

I had the same reaction as you when I heard Rick say that they are running out of material to address. I would “love” to hear Rick Joyner and Todd put their spin on the false prophecy given on June 7th that Jesus would physically appear on stage the next night, coming with chariots and host of angels, etc. Besides that issue, you’re right, there is so much that hasn’t even been mentioned in these videos, let alone addressed.
Rick also likes to say that there is “only so much” they can fit into a 10-minute video, yet he is constantly repeating himself and going over the same points until they’re completely worn out. He could often say in two minutes what he takes ten minutes to say. Oh well, not everyone has the “gift” of brevity.
Has anyone noticed how Rick is now manipulating the swine flu in order to sway public opinion toward quickly restoring Todd to ministry. At least twice now he has said that the swine flu will be returning with a vengeance in the fall, and therefore it’s absolutely essential for the body of Christ that Todd’s “healing gift” is in full operation by that time. I might be paraphrasing a little bit, but from what I understood, that’s the gist of what he was saying. In other words, we need Todd to save us from the swine flu, so we better not hold him back from fleecing the flock (I mean, ministry) for too long. How low and pathetic can this whole saga become?
Adam – yes that point about swine flu was not missed – in fact I thought if I had a blog I would title an article about it as “Rick Joyner and Todd Bentley hope to make a killing out of swine flu”. Then I thought that was a bit unkind of me, maybe…..
I am happy to report that my family members who were into the false teachings of Joyner and the NAR have finally had their eyes opened to the deception…and have left his church. I praise God for answering my prayers.

Praise God! That’s a huge answer to prayer! (You might have to change your Login name to “gratefulmom.”) Now I pray that your family members become grounded in the truth and in the knowledge of His Word so that they are not easily led astray in the future. The Lord is more than powerful enough to keep them from straying.

Thank you, Adam, for your kind words. It IS a huge answer to prayer and I am so in awe of what God has done. They were so into it, I just never expected my prayers to be answered so quickly. I will keep praying for them to become grounded just as you said. God is so good.
