Hi folks!
I wanted to take a moment to ask you to lift up one of the frequent contributors here at Sola, brother Thomas Watkins.
Tom recently had a heart attack, and though he is home now and back to offering his always insightful comments, he could still use our prayers. His hope is to get back out onto the mission field soon!
“Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” James 5:13-16
Tom, overjoyed to see you commenting today! Love you brother..

Dearest Thomas, it will be a great pleasure to lift you up to the Lord at this time. I relish your comments both here and on Miriam’s blog endtimes………and have been blessed by you so many times. (You’ll know me as Sylvia there).
Thank you PJ for informing us about Tom, how else would we have known.
Thank you JESUS for bringing Thomas Watkins home, and I beseech you, our Lord and our God, to restore to him full health and energy to pursue again your call upon his life. Amen.
To greet you Sylvia with the utmost terms of endearment and respect, and to quote an old Memphis pal of mine, :”Hello Darlin”!”
It seems surreal, for sure; in that I’m back home so quickly. I had a 90% blockage in one of my 3 major arteries. I had a cartherization, [ a roto-rooter operation, where a drill is sent up through your carteral artery....[groin ] ], and then two pipes…[ stents ] placed in the area that had collapsed beyond the blockage. They pumped them up , by balloon, and then inserted these pipes, all by remote access; through my groin. Anyway, no big incisions, not a lot of blood, and wah-lah…..my heart can beat with normal blood flow.
I requested prayer before I went, on Sermonindex as heart pains came upon me suddenly late Monday night; at 3am. I then drove myself to the emergency room. Well, Hallelujah! no fear, No shame, and a bit of a witness, to all. I am humbled , Sylvia at those who know me but afar, and care…even enough to intercede. What could it be, but a love of the truth, that partners with a love of God, and then includes a regenerated dog like me?… Jesus people.
Thank you , thank you
Thank you so much, and you too, PJ. At times I thought about dying, and peeked into my ultimate faith, and Hallelujah again….I saw it! It was there, ready and waiting to travel on. I’ll use that ticket another day when necessary…and I surely don’t want to rust out . I think of Rich Mullens premonition of an early death…[ please post it if you have it... anyone..]…like a fireball leaving this world behind.
It’s nice to be loved by anyone, but how much more the righteous.
Brother Tom Watkins
Amen, ‘another day’…
Tom, im so happy you’re feeling better. Your work is not finished here brother!!
