Have you ever noticed the lengths some folks will go to to attempt to prove someone is ‘the’ antichrist? There were a number of books written during the years George W Bush was in office, attempting to ‘prove’ he was the one, as well as countless articles coming from prophecy watchers. Ditto, Bill Clinton. Most of their reasoning was based on the strangest twisted hypothesizing, and speculation imaginable.
As there’s nothing new under the sun, so it continues today. Check this out:

Wow! I can only say wow! When 2012 or 2016 is here if the Lord tarries – Are these people prepared to promise to apologize to him then? One further thought, My sense of all these nonsense it will actually serve to obscure whoever might be the real Antichrist. Come to think of it if he’s the one we should be at least filled with joy that we are about to go see the LORD rather than be fighting to preserve a certain worldly political philosophy.
I asked the same question years ago on a prophecy board, concerning Javier Solana.
Many prophecy websites and/or boards were convinced, without a doubt, Solana was the antichrist, and spent so much time watching his every move, i use to wonder if they knew what he had nightly for dinner, or how many times a day he visited the bathroom. Im fairly sure if he had decided to part his hair differently, during those years, that too would have been viewed as a further ‘sign’ of him being the ‘son of perdition’. sigh…
quite convincing but what about the exhortation of Paul the Apostle?
Col 3:1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Col 3:2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
Col 3:3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Col 3:4 When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
Spending my time here does not allow me any time there but cursory!

I gave up that game 30+ years ago, when Henry Kissinger failed to pan out as AC. But the numbers worked……

Those of us who are a bit older got tired of such stupid speculation years ago – I remember that one Ronald Wilson Reagan (note that each of his names has 6 letters) was touted as the AC by some.
aha… yes, when you’ve been around awhile, it grows old.
We should start a list of all the people who AC watchers, have claimed were the Antichrist over the last 75 years.
- (Rev 13:1,2) And I stood on the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like to a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
When we seek for the real reason behind the power of the Antichrist, we can see that the Bible says that he will get his power from the dragon, in other words from the devil, as the verses above indicate. The devil, whom the Bible calls the prince of this world, will give his seat to this person, which will enable him to gain great power and authority. Otherwise, he would certainly be like any other person but with the help of the devil, he will gain power and may even seem superhuman at times.
The following quote that is tens of years old points this issue out very well. The quote talks about how children in Adullam Orphanage in China saw this person in a vision and how a group of devils followed him. Most of them did not previously have knowledge of the issue in question, but the description of this person goes quite well with the truth that is in the Bible:
The children of Adullam saw that superman, whom the world is so hopefully awaiting, and whom the Buddhists, theosophists, Muslims, and supporters of other religions are ready to worship. They saw Satan personified in a beautiful, strong, young man.
They also saw the image that this atheist, the antichrist, is going to set up to be worshipped. This picture can speak and lead the world astray (Rev 13:14,15). When I asked the children how they knew that this handsome, powerful man was the Antichrist, they said that a group of devils followed him everywhere, obeying his every command, proceeding and stopping once having received the signal. (47)

I am guilty of this and it can be waste of time,instead of spending time and energy infront of the computer web searching on who is the AC or blogging about AC, the time can be spend productively serving in the church or reading the bible, praying, or go out for street evangelism.
