In a recent post, Latest from the NAR, “plus”.., I made mention of this thing the members of the NAR have been mentioning in many of their ‘words’ in the last few months; “sound”. I also pointed out the word “sound” has been showing up frequently in many of mystic Kim Clements ‘prophesies’ as well. Is it just a new catch word or phrase they’ve come up with? I don’t know. But if you believe as I do, that these people get their ‘words’ and/or ‘prophesies’ from another spirit, then its something to at least take note off–this sudden obsession with ‘sound’. It reeks of new age teachings..
This was posted tonight at youtube. A recent (July 29th) clip from a service with Pierce, in which he ‘prophecies’. Notice how many times he says the word ‘sound’.
"If the professed convert distinctly and deliberately declares that he knows the Lord's will but does not mean to attend to it, you are not to pamper his presumption, but it is your duty to assure him that he is not saved. Do not suppose that the Gospel is magnified or God glorified by going to the worldlings and telling them that they may be saved at this moment by simply accepting Christ as their Savior, while they are wedded to their idols, and their hearts are still in love with sin. If I do so I tell them a lie, pervert the Gospel , insult Christ, and turn the grace of God into lasciviousness."
I could only take about half that video. There was a sound stirring in my gut and it wouldn’t come out pleasantly if I went on watching and listening. Sadly, a letter I received from Tony Evans last week SOUNDED much like part of what Chuck said – that we have a call from God to RULE. Why are humans so arrogant as to think we are in charge of anything?

Our being in charge and in control, seems to be a huge part of dominion teaching, doesn’t it?
What kind of religion is this? It is certainly not Christianity. He mentions “lord”, but does not indicate who that “lord” is. God is not mentioned, Jesus is not mentioned. There is no mention of who Jesus is, what he did, let alone the Gospel. Such religions should not even be discussed in the same breath as Christianity, except perhaps as part of a discussion on non-Christian religions along with sikhism, taoism, buddhism etc.
It is frightening to think how many people are lost, when they think this has anything to do with the one true God.

Pierce also says there are “hidden sounds within each family bloodline” and God is supposedly “restoring the sounds of the bloodlines.” What kind of pantheistic hogwash is this?
It’s as if Pierce is telling his followers to put their hope in “a sound,” whatever that means, instead of having their hope in Christ. I wonder what it would be like to witness one of these pagan festivals (I mean, conferences) in person?
I do agree that Pierce and most of the rest of the crowd he runs with are getting their “revelations” from another spirit. It makes you shudder to think what is being passed on to their followers, who are clearly opening themselves up to whatever they want to impart, thinking that it’s all from God.

There has been a lot of words coming from this school of false prophets, for months now, on ‘sound’ or sounds.
Does anyone recall which one of these guys it was, that was teaching at some conference on learning to hear the ‘sounds’ coming from the heavens? I know at the time i posted the youtube clip… im going to search for it, for its worth watching again. It goes right along with this sound stuff.
This is such a bunch of nonsense. So many words, so little said. This is not the gospel that saves. This is self-centered and self-serving. If all this “sound” theology was so important why didn’t Jesus teach about it?
I have looked into this briefly out of interest and commented over at Endtimespropheticwords in Feb 09 article 1325 quantum healing. David van koevering believes all matter has energy and memory and Robert Heidler sings with the planets. When sound is talked about it could be they are talking about vibrations. If you go to http://www.sacredsoundhealing (warning new age site) it says “quantum physics and science are only now discovering what the mystics and ancient cultures knew long ago the matrix for the universe is a seamless super-conscious energy field, composed of light, sound and celestial harmonics”. So the argument is that advances in the understanding of quantum physics have confirmed the traditional teachings of eastern mystics that human consciousness and the universe form an interconnected whole. From another article “Quantum mystics seem to interpret the wave function as some kind of vibration of a holistic ether that pervades the universe, as “real” as the vibration in air we call a sound wave”.
So what CP could be saying is that the spoken word or the sound has power in and of itself which can cause an atmospheric release. It is very humanistic – you produce the sound – you cause the enemy to come under your feet. Taken to extremes you could soon see promotion of prayer TO an object because you can speak power into that object and cause it to change i.e. an increase of physical money. Its the idea that everything is interconnected including the past and the future and you can change things by the power of vibrations.
I would just say that I know nothing about anything,just interested, but if this causes someone to look into this further then that’s good.
I am typing this comment as I listen to the video. Here is my assessment of it, “it is foolishness”.
If you are so inclined, go to about the two minute mark and listen from there for this one word: “created” in what is supposed to be an immediate prophesy or hot off the press so to speak, or maybe, directly flowing from Heaven to earth through Pierce? I guess in this instance we are supposed to believe what we are watching and listening to is God stepping into a crowd and speaking to them and now us, then?
Hmmmmm, here’s an observation about what is meant when he uses the word created. There are two sounds, one of them is not “created” while the other is. He again comes back to this idea at the end of the video at around the 6 minute mark when using another word: “forming”.
God is an “Eternal sound”. He is “Spirit”, Self Existant and Triune. He is neither created nor formed. From His “sound” He spoke into existence everything else.
The great Theologian Francis Turrentin calls everything that has come into existence, “composition”. God is Self Existent. Everything is a composition of the Self Existent Triune God.
You have two kinds of sound then that you can hear; one is Eternal, Self Existent and never varies or shifts like a shadow and then all other sounds, these sounds are compositions.
It is interesting to note Satan’s role in the prior composition from which God spoke into existence this present heavens and earth.
What it seems to me this guy is doing is giving place to a false sound, a demon spirit or from his own imagination influenced by demons and where his sound is resonnating from is the sound from the creature, the god of this world system and not the Creator, God of this god of this world and its system. If he were speaking the truth, he would not refer to the “sound” he is hearing and speaking about repeatedly in this video clip as a “created” sound. Rather he would be glorifying God, which, if you have not gotten ahold of that reality yet, this movement Pierce is “creating” or resonnating in alignment with is with the devils, not the Self Existent Triune God, Who is, Who was and Who is to come.
God doesn’t create sound. He is Sound. From sound He creates and directs and imparts and gives life and destroys life.
The devils are creating doctrines and using agents, in this case, Pierce, to bring them forth and establish them misdirecting away from God’s sound to their own evil devices.
Also think about what he is saying when he is saying this sound is reestablishing bloodlines as far back as three generations. Hmmmmm? I don’t care how many bloodlines you establish and how far back you go, God’s Word is still the same Holy Unchanging Word for all bloodlines. God has already declared that there are “none righteous, no not one”!
Why would God want His servant establishing a bloodline that He has already declared unworthy and unrighteous? That makes little or no sense at all and in fact it is foolishness and is nonsense. By his own words he is establishing a false created sense which is an illusion. Pierce here, in my judgment, is just exercising some sort of voodoo magic to control the hearts and minds of the unstable and unlearned, who have not had their senses trained to discern between good and evil but are gathered and seduced to come together to be bigger, badder and better than Normal Biblical Christianity in essence and being. This sort of illusion feeds one’s ego and sadly separates the one from the True Sound of Heaven itself heard by the Spirit of Grace, the Holy Ghost.
Be careful and be warned but do not be ignorant of these schemes. Be ready to give an answer to those who ask you why you have such Hope in something other than this sound coming from Pierce!
This reminded me of a Saturday night near the bonfire in Babylon, when the different tribes of magicians and soothsayers came together to worship the gods, and Baal. Without really knowing English, and with a slight change of garb, could you imagine how this would have been perceived by a foreigner, or an alien to American culture?
This is pure unadulterated sensuality, and certainly void of any and all reference to the Lord Jesus, His gospel, or His cross. It is beyond New Age modernism even, and is morphing into some type of Hindi snake dance, with all focused, as the cobra, upon the movement and the sound.
But this is Chuck Pierce, a venerable silver headed Apostle! How could this be? They are all trying to out do one another with a deeper and more mystic revelation, and somehow back up their credence as revelation. This was Todd Bentley’s method of operations. He would lie and thereby create an atmosphere within the lie, that seemed credible; outrageous, yes, but credible, because prophets and apostles are supposed to have power, aren’t they? Here Chuck Pierce glibly announces so matter of fact ” each family bloodline has it’s own singular and personal sound.” I guess he just knows this, because he’s a prophet and all. Really, each family of witches and warlocks all have their own methodology, that produces similar power. It is called cults, and they have been different, yet focused the same since Babel; for millinia. Maybe that is what Chuck really meant.
This produces enough personal pride….[It's my bloodline, and we will do what we want!...] and releases everyone there to get “jiggy” with it, join in, and swear that all of it is just revelation at it’s best. Everyone then relaxes to all that jazz, and realizes the ultra coolness and grooviness of the prophetic word. Did you notice how contrived and controlled the singers and band were?…and how they sang and prophesied on cue?. Unspontaneous in order to use the music and drums to overwhelm the simple to join in; to submit. Kind’a like group consciousness/ peer pressure.
No Word, no gospel, No holiness, No Peace, no love, No Jesus, No good;… but it all sounds pretty cool, Eh?
Problem here is; No Heaven either.

The conference was called “Starting the Year Off Right 2008,” hosted by Chuck Pierce and Robert Heidler (January 6, 2008 session). The creepy planet worship starts around the 34:00 mark. “Mighty Jupiter” is especially sinister (at the 36:00 mark).
As expected, “Christ and Him crucified” was the unmistakable theme at this conference. OK, that was a sad attempt at making a joke…

Like I have said before I have been to some of these conferences and meetings and they are out there! I remember one we went to with Pierce & company, where the “new sound” was being released and everybody started doing a “new dance” to the “new sound” and it was wild and chaotic. People dancing ” in the Spirit” and “under the anointing” and then they would interpret the prophetic dance! And of course someone had to deliver a fresh prophetic word from the Lord himself…..thank God for deliverance from foolishness….So glad I know better.

It seemed every one of these guys starting ‘prophesying’ about this in most every word they were sending out. I thought it was so odd. Kim Clement mentions it more frequently also.
To me it “sounds” like they are promoting people to open themselves up spiritually [to let their guard down] to demonic spirits. Was that the impression you got?

I too am thankful for the links, and it’s nice to know that there is yet a remnant . I can imagine an old Swiss grandfather who has seen that little bird pop out of the clock 10,000 times, and then begin to associate it with his whacky neighbors. When you stare this nonsense in the face, sometimes you can begin to believe that the whole world has gone Coo-Coo. How could folks become so deceived?; so crazy?….and have the NERVE to call it the Gospel?

I would dismiss it as New age silliness, if it were not for the fact that some really believe and receive this as truth! The Lake of fire burns forever and ever, and that’s not silly, and those that do believe this will be cast there by the Lord Himself, for rejecting Jesus and not loving the truth. That is serious, and quite grave. May God deliver us and his own from the deceiving gospel that kills.

WHAT, was he talking about??? The tribal sounds that accompanied Chuck’s “prophetic revelation” seemed as if he were speaking of another deity. Yes! I think that what he was doing!
I agree with the others here, especially to note that how tragic it is many of the people are deceived by this type of non-Christian worship and false prophesy.
In addition, had the people been receiving a good dose of meaty expositional preaching of the Word, I don’t think Chuck Pierce would be out of business.
Oh how I wish Chuck Pierce and others would quickly repent before it’s too late, but then again, maybe it is.
Yes, PJ it has been around for about a year or two. Its been growing louder, though most recently. I do believe that it is encouraging people to open themselves up to some that are demonic, thought they would not categorize it as such. I remember the last mtgs of that kind we attended and they would wait for a certain crescendo (hence “the sound”) in the frenzied worship and it would seem to reach a fever pitch and all hell would break loose. Many of the people I knew that were involved in this movement now have their spiritual and personal lives in shambles. These movements never taught people to really know Jesus, (except to get power and gifts from Him),or to humble themselves,or to learn and live by His Word. That was way too simple. Everybody had to be deep and search and seek for something else, as if God was withholding something from us. It was that pursuit for power and the unknown that led us and many others astray in to groups like these. Also there was lots of talk about things that appealed to the soulish realm: like what you could get from doing these things, the power you could walk in and what God would give you in return. Many lures to draw people in to this movement but the outcome is the same: some form of destruction, either spiritually, mentally or personally.
I agree with all the commentary against this sensless, godless babble. Words strung together without little meaning, no truth, and with glory and power to men not God.
I think their song was altogether wrong. The enemy has his heel on their heads.
