“What a beautiful way to go”

My niece Samantha who lives in Florida wrote a couple days ago to inform me that my Mom’s best friend, Ms. Francis, had passed away. Writing her back last night, I sensed joy at knowing Francis had made it home. And that she and Mom were once more able to fellowship.

Samantha sent a reply back this morning which really touched me.

After going to the viewing…..I was able to hear a little more of the story.  She went in to the hosp. last Friday with CHF and MRSA.  She told her family that she had 3 days.  She had a chance to bless each member of her family.  Children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She told them all that she was seeing angels in her room waiting for her.  She died on Monday.  What a beautiful way to go.

Amen. What a beautiful way to leave this world.

just musing and rejoicing that another child of God has reached home.

  1. This isn’t the first of such a story as this that I have heard, what wonderful assurance it brings. My mom will be 98 in a couple of weeks, and although she is still amazing, she is now really looking forward to ‘going home’. It will give me great joy to pass this story on to her, it will be of great encouragement.

  2. Amen PJ, what a beautiful way to go:::>

Psa 116:14 I will pay my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.
Psa 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

  3. God truly has a great reward for those who remain faithful. They are often the “little” people in life just doing little things for their Lord on a daily basis out of a loving heart, not seeking any credit for themselves but directing all praise to the Lord. There is so much injustice all around us, but it is only for a season. When the end of our days arrive, we thank God that we can receive not justice, but mercy. May God help us all that our lives will in some way reflect His love during the short time we have in this life.

  4. Yes RoT, i’ve heard other instances of Christians leaving this world and knowing beforehand, and seeing Angels at the time prior to their leaving.

I watched my own mother’s eyes, obviously seeing ‘something’ or someone not visible to me, the last 2 days before she left here. If anyone has ever witnessed this, you’ll know what i mean. They become less ‘here’ and ‘more’ there…Its hard to explain.

At one time she described seeing (as she put it) “the most beautiful being” standing by the wall smiling at her. She said this being was dressed in brilliant changing colors.
