I have seen some of this before but not all, and I declare it is getting worse with each updated video clip.
I detected a distinct difference in my own spirit after 9 minutes of watching this stuff.
Years ago I became aware of a fact: ‘What you feed your mind on is what you become’. It impacted me then and still now. The effect this activity is having on it’s audience is powerful, demonic and contagious to the extreme. They are playing with fire – literally.
How come many Christians dismiss it as harmless playfulness rather than feel sick and offended by it? I know people that do that. “Oh Precious Lord Jesus forgive these perpetrators , they cannot know what they are doing”…………..or do they?
Most of the clips he used i’ve posted or watched too.
Syl, would you share what that difference was? I know what you mean but the explanation of what you (personally) discerned may help someone.
amen. Strange fire
I do appreciate Andrew stressing that we should not discount the ‘true’ gifts of the Spirit or the real manifestations of the Holy Spirit in our lives because of these demoniacally inspired extremes .
Well pj it’s difficult to define but I’ll put it like this: When I feed upon God’s HOLY WORD…..when I lift up my heart in prayer and praise…..when I worship Him with the reverence that is due to Him, the feeling within me is NOTHING LIKE the feeling I got today when I pressed this video’s ‘on’ button. A dark, ugly feeling/mood/spirit whatever one wants to call it, descended upon me from the onset and I had to determine to see it through.
I know we cannot always rely on ‘feelings’ but there is no disguising the Spirit of Holiness versus the spirit of evil that manifests through the likes of this crowd.
At one point in the video is a portion from MorningStar where a woman says something in tongues and everything looks like paganism. I remember when I saw this the first time (quite soon after it happened) I started feeling sick. I don’t remember being able to watch it all, or if I did, I couldn’t listen to it. Unfortunately now it had the same effect and I had to remove my headsets; and the only way I could describe it is cancer or better a spell coming out of that and trying to reach your inside. It’s very unhealthy.
I got the same weirdness when I saw Crowder but not with the same intensity. I’ve watched many crazy videos but some of them are pure evil… and mostly alive evil. I don’t know what kind of power exists in those things that have the same effect at a re run.
During the Lakeland horror time some people from my church watched some videos with the “anointing” that spread in MorningStar (someone from MorningStar brought the videos – we also talk abt different continents) and my friend was describing that all of a sudden the thing (what ever it was) came into the room, threw away a big guy off his chair and many of them started feeling this powerful presence and shake like… snakes. My friend was saying with excitement that this was so transferable and after that she had terrible body movements whenever she would pray, and the whole thing sounded so lustful, the breathing, the voice, the sweat and so on and she was unfortunately convinced it was the beautiful work of God.
Then there are people like Bob Jones that just have evil in them, I personally see it as darkness that one could barely look into their eyes – it’s just bad. Also the stories that are being told (not only the manifestations) have a fragrance of pure evil. It’s difficult to describe it.
PS: And yes I agree with you about appreciating Andrew stressing that we should not discount the true/wonderful/empowering gifts of the Spirit…………without which we would be incomplete.
This stuff is totally out of hand. They just look like they have lost the plot. Remember in Exo 32:25 – “Now when Moses saw that the people were out of control – for Aaron had let them get our of control to be a derision among their enemies”. That is large swathes of the church today! These leaders are letting these people get more and more out of control and the more they offer the strange/profane fire (Lev 10:1) the worse they get. The strange fire in Lev 10:1 resulted in these people getting destroyed. How long does God’s patience last I wonder?
There is no holiness and there is not glorifying God. It is just an orgy of disgrace. A selfish exhibition of drunkeness.
Another trait is gimme, gimme. gimme. Instead of worship it is the mancentric seeking of supposed power. How many times have you heard people in this movement say “Lord we want your fire”? When the Lord and fire are said in the same sentence judgement happens, at least as recorded in the Bible. We are watching a church we helped found spiral out of control with this stuff. The book of the Month is Decree by Patricia King. How’s that for discernment?
A couple of ideas came to mind during the time of watching this video clip.
Consider the message wrapped up in these verses:
Isa 63:1 Who is this who comes from Edom, in crimsoned garments from Bozrah, he who is splendid in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? “It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save.”
Isa 63:2 Why is your apparel red, and your garments like his who treads in the winepress?
Isa 63:3 “I have trodden the winepress alone, and from the peoples no one was with me; I trod them in my anger and trampled them in my wrath; their lifeblood spattered on my garments, and stained all my apparel.
Isa 63:4 For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and my year of redemption had come.
Isa 63:5 I looked, but there was no one to help; I was appalled, but there was no one to uphold; so my own arm brought me salvation, and my wrath upheld me.
Isa 63:6 I trampled down the peoples in my anger; I made them drunk in my wrath, and I poured out their lifeblood on the earth.”

While I have exposed myself to this stuff in the past, sometimes intentionally and at other times, by accident, these false signs and wonders among God’s people, I would encourage that we need to remember that for the “Elect”, the Holy Spirit will not pull back. He will constantly speak to the deep parts of the spirits of those “experiencing” these false spirits to draw them to Christ, just as Jesus said:
Joh 12:32 And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”
We ought not to be ignorant of the devils devices or his schemes. We ought to remain calm and forthright when dealing with this sort of manifestations seeing they have already been foretold as Isaiah’s and Paul’s writings reveal.
What we ought to be about is yielding ourselves to the Holy Spirit to speak a word to those so deceived by these false spirits so that perhaps they will see the error of their ways and come out of the falsehood and come into the gift of repentance and receive the forgiveness for their sins, too.
I was listening to a preacher’s Word recently who said something that I think is appropriate to convey here in light of the video clip; and it has given me more courage to continue to speak forth the Word of Truth in the midst of this sort of falsehood.
He said something like this, “all it takes for one being made crooked by the false spirits in the world to come to their senses is for someone to set before them the Straight Spirit”.
Pro 18:20 From the fruit of a man’s mouth his stomach is satisfied; he is satisfied by the yield of his lips.
Pro 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.
I suppose it would be a correct conclusion that Andrew Strom has set forth for us a Straight Spirit which makes obvious the false spirits and movements of our time!
Or, as Isaiah said, cited above: “It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save.”
All we are to them caught in the deception is a mouth house for the Lord’s ministry, speaking forth His righteousness and it is, indeed, He, Who is mighty to save!
