Most of these articles highlight the long-form birth certificate as the key piece of missing documentation. But now that Obama has released his birth certificate, World Net Daily has decided it’s not sufficient, even if they decide the long-form birth certificate is totally authentic.

We look forward to reviewing it like so many other Americans do at this late date. But it is important to remember there are still dozens of other questions concerning this question of eligibility that need to be resolved to assure what has become a very skeptical public concerning Barack Obama’s parentage, his adoption, his citizenship status throughout his life and why he continues to cultivate a culture of secrecy around his life.
Farah is also not willing to concede that the long-form birth certificate is genuine. He writes:
“The news media and the political establishment were quick to rush to judgment regarding Obama’s eligibility in 2008, without any basis. It would be a big mistake for everyone to jump to a conclusion now based on the release of this document, which raises as many questions than it answers.”
Prior to today’s release, there was already more than sufficient evidence establishing President Obama’s birth in Hawaii. Those who are inclined to believe that he is born elsewhere, however, are not operating in a world of facts.
This morning Obama said, “I know that there’s going to be a segment of people for which, no matter what we put out, this issue will not be put to rest. But I’m speaking to the vast majority of the American people, as well as to the press. We do not have time for this kind of silliness. We’ve got better stuff to do. I’ve got better stuff to do.”
But clearly, Joseph Farah has nothing better to do.

What is more disturbing then Farah (after all he’s made oodles of $ off this ridiculous lie and wants to continue to do so) are many of the responses I read FROM Christians,
- Well the certificate i just looked at on line doesn’t have a raised seal…or any seal at all. And, the fact that he had changed his citizenship from the US to Indonesia when he was adopted (i believe that’s how it went!), did he ever have it changed back when his mother divorced and they moved back here? There’s still tons of questions…
- there’s already some talk about how a “Birth Certificate” and “Certificate of Birth” are not the same thing…or the same as the “Certificate of Live Birth” which had been released prior.
- I will say that copy looks weird also. The background color with registrar stamp at the bottom and old copy on the top. It looks like 2 different papers and one on top of the other one. Is this done on purpose so the conspiracy continues? I don’t know but that does not look that official to me.

The fact that some of these same birthers have quickly moved to other Obama conspiracies, (Trump and Sean Hannity now want him to release his College Records) should prove to anyone with half a working brain that it was never about the ‘long-form birth certificate’…it was always about their hidden feelings about the man himself.

What moves people to buy into all of this non-sense? I am convinced that in many cases they have such an intense hatred of the person at the heart of the “plot” that they have to have some reason to justify that hatred. I believe that was true of President Bush in the case of the 9-11, and I also believe it is the case with President Obama with the endless conspiracy theories aimed at him. And I am convinced that the fact that “Christians” are buying into this paranoia is an indication of the political bitterness enveloping the church. That kind of bitterness is toxic and destructive. It is playing a role in the complete loss of discernment those infected with it are experiencing. Where there is underlying bitterness, the Spirit of God is not in the picture. Perfect love casts out all fear, and that includes political fear. I am not afraid of either the President or all the new Tea Party Republicans in the House. They are ALL there because God put them there. I recognize that while I might disagree with some of these people politically, in most cases we would probably get along just fine on a personal level. But many in our midst have unfortunately lost the ability to separate the political from the personal. thus the need for a terrifying conspiracy theory to justify their wrath.

There are a number of ugly dynamics surrounding this ‘birther’ thing, which i won’t get into. But hatred is at the bottom of all of them.

How about total lack of honesty and openness from someone in the highest office in the USA.
His hostility to openness has driven all of this. Two years ago it could have ended. But instead we have a long drawn out soap opera carefully choreographed by the news outlets to discredit everyone’s character that is curious about his past. He is a Christian by his own admittance but instead of acting with utmost integrity he has allowed this game of secrecy to play itself out for some perverted calculated political gains.
I for one always thought he was born in Hawaii but was very curious as to why the cover-up with the birth certificate and also the collage records. Disclosure should be basic stuff for someone wanting to lead the free world in my humble estimation.
Yesterday he said “We don’t have time for this silliness.” After which he and Michelle flew off to Chicago to tape the Oprah Winfrey show and attend 3 fundraisers! My “reality check” please!!!
Hatred may be at the heart for some in all of this but lack of openness, honesty and integrity is the missing factor for me.

There was never any “cover-up”.
His birth certificate was published on-line, during the 2008 presidential race. The sorry-fact is, conspiracy nuts and those who wanted to sow seeds of doubt concerning Obama’s legitimacy to serve as president of the United States, refused to accept it.

This overlooks the FACT that the State of Hawaii REFUSED to release this birth certificate due to their internal policies UNTIL now. Barack Obama, even though he is President of the United States, is not in a position to dictate policy to the State of Hawaii. But facts are not important to those who despise the man either because of his politics or because of his race. George Bush was equally mistreated over 9-11 with people who despised him suggesting even that HE planted bombs in the World Trade Center and “faked” the terrorist attack. There is simply no end to the charges one will make or believe when the target of those charges is someone they despise. There were plenty of concerns about “openess, honesty, and integrity” during the Bush administration as well, not to mention every previous administration in memory, but how does this justify all the bitterness? Bottom line it does not. It is just a pitiful excuse from people who really have no excuse. They typically don’t worry over those concerns when someone they *like* is holding the office in question, but no amount of openess, honesty and integrity could satisfy them when someone they dislike is holding the office. Its that simple.

Satan will use any tool available at his disposal to keep believers busy and pre-occupied, so that when we are distracted by, for example, the president of this nation’s birth, or anything else in this world that is none of our concern, or even our business, then he has achieved his goal. A good comparison would be if one of us who is a citizen of the United States of America goes to Venezuela, concerns and involves himself in the political affairs of that nation! We would not consider doing that since what they do there in Venezuela is none of our business. Venezuela’s citizens are the only ones who have a role in determining who their president is and where he was born etc.
This world is not our home!
During the campaign I had a Christian friend tell me that “if Barak Obama gets elected, WE are going to make his life hell.” This person literally swore that she would join with others of like mind to basically “destroy his presidency” by every means possible. What these people don’t see is that they are, as some columnists have explained, crossing the rubicon, in these sorts of tactics. They are opening a Pandora’s box. As they vent their wrath by every means possible, people on the other side are, in effect, learning from them. Thus, when their candidate gets in office, which WILL happen, that person will likely face the same abuse. And thus the person CHOSEN BY GOD to lead our country will be subject to scorn by a large percentage of the population, guaranteed. How long will our nation survive under these circumstances? They way I see it, our citizenry is choosing to engage in national suicide and such a demise is a lot closer than many people imagine. One reason our national debt is going through the roof is NOT because of either George Bush OR Barak Obama OR their policies. It is because our nation is frozen in wrath and fear as they find it more important to affix blame for the mess than to intelligently join hands in attempting to address the mess. Bitterness IS slowly destroying our nation and Christians tragically are leading the charge.
I want to jump in and also say I believe there has been a cover-up from the very beginning. The live birth certificate should have been produced from the start and not just the substitute document that had problems associated with it.
I know you disagree with people that question his character but there is a track record of politicians not being exactly above board on numerous levels. Factual, legal documentation is absolutely necessary proof for anyone, especially, politicians. It was not even an unreasonable request when Hillary first suggested it. The constitution has guidelines to follow. They are not just suggestions as some would like to infer.
Obama didn’t have (and wouldn’t reveal) a paper trail to look at so there were of course questions that many had about him holding such an important office. He really had a slide at election time from tough questioning from the news folks because they really were for him. So questions remained. Some questions will never go away and some people will still continue to be idiots and bigots taking things way too far, that’s a given!
Cover-ups have happened in most administrations in one form or the other since early history of the USA so exacting documents are important for the real truth to be revealed. There are enough half truths already in politics. It should not have been a big deal, especially in the scope of the office of President, to reveal the real certificate!! You call it hate but in reality it’s openness and transparency that are needed. When these are applied it keeps small embers from jumping into anything more than just small manageable fires.

We’ve seen these type of ridiculous accusations about past presidents before, (GW Bush, “planned” 9/11, Bill Clinton had Vince Foster murdered, etc) but this one, the Obama “birtherlollapalooza” is different.
And what makes it different is this time, its not just your “normal”, run-of-the-mill conspiracy lovers who have pushed this, and still are, but many of my spiritual brothers and sisters in the Lord. They not only bought into this nonsense but helped spread it.
And why is that?
In my opinion there is “something” SERIOUSLY spiritual going on here. And it’s not good. Obsession never is….

The solution of course, since all politicians are assumed to be guilty until proven innocent is to require the government to release all private information on every politician for every member of the electorate to go over with a fine tooth comb. I wouldn’t have a problem with this if it was applied across the board. It would be great to see all of their birth certificates, tax records, travel records, employment records and such. After all, we deserve to know who these people are who are seeking to rule over us. But I think it is a really dumb way to run a country and like PJ, I am amazed to see so many Christians going for it.

Plain facts were missing and that is why Christians among others spoke up. Sorry, but it was not clear. The truth was veiled and obscure at best in this situation, contrary to published reports. Not all Christians jumping on this band wagon had hateful motives as you have suggested. And yes, I do agree with you that, –“something” SERIOUSLY spiritual going on here.” And it’s not good.

Obama still has not released passport records, kindergarten records, Punahou school records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles, University of Chicago articles, Illinois State Bar Association records, Illinois State Senate records and schedules, medical records, Obama/Dunham marriage license, Obama/Dunham divorce documents, Soetoro/Dunham marriage license and adoption records.
Why is it a problem to have a few doubts about someone if they have not been forth coming with information to this point?? When hiring a new employee for a firm there is more information gathered and known about the employee then we know about our own President. And he is OUR employee!! Yes, it can and does get out of hand with so called conspiracy theories but not all people wanting facts and answers fall into the nut category as you seem to insinuate. If I vote for him next term I want answers to how he makes decisions and what has influenced those decisions up to this point. The word “cover up” keeps appearing on some replies. It is not far from the truth given what is NOT known about this President. He makes decisions for not only me but my kids and their kids to come. I for one want to know who this man really is. Not a frivolous thing to want to know nor against any scripture, we are not mindless sheep and totally sinful for asking!
