Your Monday Funny: Glenn Beck: ‘I Believe Mitt Romney Could Be the Next Abraham Lincoln’

On Friday, Glenn Beck featured David Barton on his program as the two once again discussed the importance of prayer and fasting leading up to the election as demonstrated by President Lincoln…

And since this upcoming election is, according to Beck, the most important one since the election of Lincoln, that can only mean that Mitt Romney is the next Abraham Lincoln:   Source

  1. From the sublime to the absurd. Glenn Beck is a decieved patriot who treats America like God. And his hatred for Obama is so intense that he now not only endorses Romey who he did not support in the primary, but he now likens to another Lincoln. Every day brings something more absurd and surprising, However I have entertained this thought just this past week. Perhaps Romney, a war monger, will get elected and be used by God as an unwilling agent in end times prophecy.
Would that not be very ironic since most of the conservative group think Obama might be the antichrist? But this I do know. Any American election will not be part of the kingdom of God regardless who gets elected. And money is the brass ring which unbelievers and believers alike are reaching for.

Boy, isn’t that the truth! I feel like Alice when she fell down the rabbit hole.

Amen. Rick, something is definitely going on here…I’m not sure exactly what, but im afraid the ultra conservative, right-wing ‘Christian’ groups, are in for a huge surprise if they get what they want.

This morning i was thinking about all those right-wing Christen groups who are claiming if Obama is re-elected God’s judgement will fall upon America. What came to me was the possibility that God’s judgment has already began in America, but we’re not (yet) recognizing it as such. We’re taught to think of judgment as sudden catastrophes and such. But i believe there are ways in which God can send judgment upon a nation in other ways. I’m still pondering upon this.

But this I do know. Any American election will not be part of the kingdom of God regardless who gets elected.

      Amen!!!

  2. 10 years from now there will be documentaries about this. The world will gaze, convulse and laugh as the “evangelicals” are deceived and are touted as the greatest hypocrites.

Romney is a judgment on the true loyalties of many so-called American christians.

      Cal, i tend to agree.

Actually my belief is Christians in America have been tested over the last 4 years. The end results of this testing was God revealed, for all to see, the darkness deeply buried within the hearts of many within the Church. From the very beginning i’ve seen Obama as more then just the president..i’ve seen him as an “instrument” used by our Father.

I believe Romeny is a another test: He too is being used by God, but this time to prove where our true loyalties lie.

Cal im afraid like King Belshazzar, the Church in America has been “weighed in the balances” and a large segment has been “found wanting”

  3. Glen has done a masterful job in softening the “evangelical world” There is a reason i regard him as Romney’s John the Baptist!

  4. Yes he has. Its no coincidence that Beck’s ‘star’ rose to super star-status, at the same time the first mormon is running for president.

  5. But let us see the entire picture. Romney is only the latest litmus test. The church must see the fallen political system for what it actually is: A humanistic system which is at odds with the gospel and the Spirit’s ministry within the kingdom of God.

  6. The US is the mormons’ “Holy Land” as their religion began here, Christ visited here, and the “church” was “restored” here. They worship this nation and its founders. However you look at it, it has the potential to be a very bad mix of religion and government. And, in mormondom, new revelation trumps everything that came before. Who knows the trouble that could lead to with a president like Mr. Romney?

Amen, thats true Louise. One interesting thing i read about the mormon religion, which i hadn’t heard before, is that its acceptable for a mormon to lie under certain situations. Have you ever ran across anything about this?
