Rome, the Devil, and Mary

“…. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” John 8

The father of lies. If you want proof of that truth, read what this exorcist in the Catholic Church says:

From zenit; Rome’s Exorcist Gives Inside Look at Devil

The exorcist confirmed that Satan’s great foe is the Virgin Mary.

He explained: “On one occasion an exorcist friend of mine asked the devil what most hurts him about Our Lady, what most annoys him. He responded, ‘That she is the purest of all creatures and that I am the filthiest; that she is the most obedient of all creatures and that I am the most rebellious; that she is the one who committed no sin and thus always conquers me.’

According to Father Amorth, Mary is a key figure in the fight against the devil’s tricks, especially since she herself was tempted: “Mariology is my field and I have often been asked if Mary was tempted by the devil. Definitely. When? From her birth until her death. But she always triumphed.”

  1. Hi PJ,

As you know, I grew up with this type of teaching. Can you imagine that? What a miracle it is that I now understand that Jesus is the sinless One, not Mary. What a miracle the new birth is. Praise the Lord!

May the Lord grant us another reformation!

    Blessings,
    Cathy

  2. I actually thought about you when i read this Cathy–you and a few others i know who left the Catholic church.

I don’t doubt for one second that this man is telling the truth…but im not sure it was satan himself who spoke those lies to his friend, but instead it was most likely a demon.

That demon give him a lie ‘it’ knew he would believe…about Mary.

She was a sinner like all who have lived and died, and needed a Savior. I know the CC doesn’t believe that.

Do you ever wonder what poor Mary must think of this nonsense to deify her?

I love the story of Mary…her faith and obedience to God. She was chosen by God to give birth to and care for His son as an infant and child. What an honor. But it doesn’t make her a ‘god’…or the way TO God. Nor does her name have any power against satan.

  3. Amen to all you have said here concerning this subject.

This is a great site. Really happy I found it.

  4. Drop by again Marie!

Music from Broken Chords

Down in the human heart, crush'd by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness Chords that were broken will vibrate once more. From the Hymn "Rescue the Perishing" by Fanny J. Crosby

I Was a Teenage Dispensationalist

It's the end (of the end) of the world as we know it...
