“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near”

  1. This is a word that I believe the Lord gave me on February 20, 2008. After viewing and listening to this post (David Wilkerson), I have tears running down my face.

That night, I felt God say that this is what must soon take place:

Every man a captain, every captain an army!
For the Word of the Lord is about to be unleashed,
but it will render victims, and many will be injured and captured.
For I am coming to display My power and My might
against an ungodly generation—children who have
perverted My ways and tainted My gospel.
I will not let them go unpunished.

But I am raising up a remnant.
For there are many who will raise the banner for My Name
and they will not perish by the sword,
for they have been brandishing their sword for years,
(at times afraid to take it out of its scabbard)
but now I am calling for a lifted sword—
ready to pierce the nations who disobey the message.

I will be ruthless in My glory.
I will prevail, but it will not go smoothly.
Many will scatter, and the flock will be scattered,
For I will strike the shepherds who have not kept watch.
I will cause them to fall and topple, and it will be seen in broad daylight.
I will no longer tolerate their wickedness.

But for My own, I declare My faithfulness.
I will be with you in famine, and I will provide a banquet in the wasteland.
I will gather My flock and I will feed them from the storehouses of heaven.

I am upset with My shepherds, I am grieved by their wickedness.
But I will pardon them quickly if they repent.
Repentance will be measured out to every willing heart.
There is hope for the faithful—
there is none for the wicked.

  2. Great message from Pastor Wilkerson, thanks for sharing.

  3. I know I don’t relish in the idea of suffering at the hand of God, yet I know in my heart there is this fear… a different kind of fear… a waiting, a silence… knowing something will take place. I seriously cannot shake it.

    and then,

Why not. God is Just. He made promises both to the Unjust and Just. How can we not expect Him to fulfill those promises? How can we expect Him to turn the other way? Christians are waxing worse and even the very elect are being lured into strange spiritual oddities.

All they do anymore is argue, bicker, demean their brothers and sisters in Christ, steal from one another, try to out-do each other, uphold one over the other, while jeering at those who aren’t in line with them. Boards, blogs, classrooms, are war zones anymore.

God’s children cannot expect a Father NOT to discipline when they are ACTING WICKED.

  4. First, I confess that I do not and cannot know everything. Second, I am willing to be taught that which I do not know as it pertains to God through Jesus Christ. That being said, one thing that I know without any shadow of doubt is that when I do not know the answer, the answer is in The Word, The Word, The Word.

I have been struggling for days with the whole Todd Bentley/Lakeland Revival ordeal. In fact, I woke up praying about it this morning. I have prayed and read the Word of God like never before in my life, seeking God about this whole situation. I have researched him, his quotes, the testimonies, and his affiliations until I am weary. I can find not one shred of evidence in the Bible or in the natural to persuade myself that he is of God. As deeply disturbing as this is to me, in my heart, more deeply grieving is the fact that so many are now following him like he is the messiah and defending him to the point of dividing friendships, families, and churches – as if not believing in him and his works would void salvation . Obviously, I am certainly in no position to judge this man; however, I am within God’s boundaries to do certain things. First, I must pray for the people who can and will be hurt temporarily and/or eternally because of any fallout from this rising, as well as pray that if this “move” is not of God, that God would stop it immediately (Jude 21-23, Col. 1:9, 1 Thes. 5:17 & 1 Tim. 4:1-2). Second, I must test the “spirits” to see if they be of God (1 Cor. 14:32 & 1 John 4:1). Third, I must trust that God will reveal their fruit, because it is by this that I and others will know them (Luke 6:43-45). Fourth, I must inquire, search, and ask diligently of God whether this “move” be of Him or if it is an abomination that is wrought among us (Deut. 13:12-14) and the greatest measure of any work is the Word of God – The Bible (2 Tim. 2:15 & 2 Tim 3:16-17). Fifth, I must WATCH (Mark 13:37). As long as I walk in the surety of God with regards to this man’s works (and God as well proved Himself – 1 John 4:2-3), I am well within my boundaries to warn others and separate myself from him and anyone else who chooses to swear by him or his work (2 Cor. 6:17-18, Rom. 16:17, 2 John 1:10-11, 3 John 1:11, 2 Tim. 3:1-5, 1 Tim 6:3-5, 2 Thes. 3:6, and 2 Thes. 3:14). While I Watch, I will pray…(2 Tim. 2:18 & 1 John 5:16).

  5. to Dawn…you are hitting the mark..keep on doing what your doing and i pray many more do the same…John

  6. Thank you,Dawn, for telling it like it is.Where in the Bible is any of this insanity found? It frightens me to hear so many Christians say that we have no right to judge,or that they couldnt care less one way or the other what Bentley teaches!Have Christians become so lulled to sleep, that anything now goes?I find this horribly shocking.I saw Bentley actually run up and knee a sick man in the stomach,The man crumpled to the ground. He has cancer, and metal pins in his spine.People have actually tried to compare this to Jesus using saliva to heal a mans eyes! After watching this show,I find myself feeling fear, anxiety attacks,depression,confusion..weird aftereffects if this is supposed to be the Holy Spirit at work. The fact that people accept Jesus through this, while wonderful in itself, does not make it of God.I found Christ through a cult, they had just enough Gospel for one to accept Christ,,10% truth mixed with 90% heretical teaching. It left me with decades of spiritual damage. So dont be fooled by the sincerity of the audience..I was 100% sincere when I was in the cult(The Church of Bible Understanding aka Forever Family)We loved Jesus with all our hearts, but we were so decieved by a false prophet leader.Things arent always as they first appear,,,

  7. This revival in Lakeland is not of God – period.
No, the very elect will not be fooled…how do I know, because we are not.
