The Radical Beliefs of the New Apostles/Prophets etc…

A few quotes from the New Apostles/Prophets – Latter-Rain – Joel’s Army movement:

****

A bold, courageous new leadership is arising that is going to be used to bring radical change. They will be resisted and persecuted, especially by those whose leadership is threatened, but change will prevail. The biggest change that the church needs is a change of leadership, and that is what we are about to get.

There are many ways that the church’s nature is going to change, and one of the most basic is that we will be taking on a military demeanor. We are called to be an army, and we will see the church become one of the most powerful, disciplined, and effective forces the world has ever known before the end of this age.

Rick Joyner – The Army of God Mobilizes – 2008

quote…

“What is about to come upon the earth is not just a revival, or another awakening; it is a veritable revolution. The vision was given in order to begin to awaken those who are destined to radically change the course, and even the very definition of Christianity. The dismantling of organizations and disbanding of some works will be a positive and exhilarating experience for the Lord’s faithful servants…the Lord will raise up a great company of prophets, teachers, pastors and apostles that will be of the spirit of Phinehas … this “ministry of Phinehas” will save congregations, and at times, even whole nations. …Nations will tremble at the mention of their name...”(THE HARVEST, Rick Joyner)

quote..

“In the near future we will not be looking back at the early church with envy because of the great exploits of those days, but all will be saying that He certainly did save the best wine for last. The most glorious times in all of history have not come upon us. You, who have dreamed of one day being able to talk with Peter, John and Paul, are going to be surprised to find that they have all been waiting to talk to you.” (Rick Joyner, The Harvest Morning Star, 9, 1990)

” The early church was a first fruits offering, truly this will be a harvest! It was said of the Apostle Paul that he was turning the world upside down; it will be said of the apostles soon to be anointed that they have turned an upside down world right side up.” (Rick Joyner, The Harvest, 128-129)

” ...this army is totally unique. This army, there’s never been one like it and there never will be one like it in ages to come. …Its so mighty that there’s never been anything like it before. Not even Moses, not even David, not even Paul. What’s going to happen now will transcend what Paul did, what David did.. That is the ultimate in Apostolic government. ( VINEYARD MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL 1990.)

  1. The Great Commission…Preach the Word…Make disciples of all nations…that ought to keep anyone who is a Christian busy enough until Jesus returns. …oh, yeah…Jesus said all that a couple of thousand decades ago… Let me just say this: Just because it is supernatural, doesn’t mean it is God. I would encourage true believers to read the true Bible and follow the True Jesus. Enough of Rick Joyner and other Elijah list favorites…they give me a headache.

  2. pj,

Some serious quotes there. I also watched TB’s commissioning via this blog. Heretics blessing a heretic. I can’t believe how many are still deluded that it’s genuine……….

  3. Rick Joyner is deceived, ignorant and arrogant to say
the least.”Ministry of Phinehas”,”Joel’s Army”,and “Envy of the Early Church”?Who is this guy trying to deceive?

Whatever happened to conformity to Christ and believing what the New Testament says concerning
the REAL Anointing(1 John 2:20,27)We who are genuine believers do not need to pursue the anointing
because we already have it! Whatever happened to
“whoever wants to be my disciple must deny himself,
take up his cross and follow me”?It is strange that
you never hear any of these so-called prophets preach
along these lines. The reason being is because it does not fit their theology.

  4. LOL, for those that don’t read the bible and there are millions of them. The real Joel’s army in Joel 2 does NO miracles and marches strictly through the land of Israel causing destruction, there is no blessing that comes from Joel’s army. If one reads about Joel’s army they find that they will be destroyed in the end by GOD.

Because Joels army is called God’s army they think that they are his people. They may be doing Gods will (in helping to usher in the end-times anti-Christ) but they certainly are not his Church or saints.

Joel’s army is the raising up of a devouring army of locusts, (destroyers) to bring judgement upon the land. Whether its Israel or the church, its not good.

So, my dear true bothers and sisters in Jesus Christ – we are in for a very rough ride. Just thank the Lord he has opened your eyes and saved your from this vile deception.

This great deception is for believers; unbelievers don’t need to be deceived, they are already.

  5. deceived, ignorant and arrogant

    That about covers it Gabriel..

The arrogance that comes through in Joyner’s quotes–AND from all those so-called old/new Apostles is staggering. To be honest it angers me.

Do these people really believe they are going to rule and reign over, and dictate authority over the body of Christ?

Joyner states “Nations will tremble at the mention of their name..”

What totally blasphemy! Like ‘the very names’ of this pack of self promoting wolves could cause any Nation to “tremble”.

Sounds like satan bragging to me.

AHA! You can see it gets me riled up!

The real Joel’s army in Joel 2 does NO miracles and marches strictly through the land of Israel causing destruction, there is no blessing that comes from Joel’s army…

Right…why can’t these people see that? I recall back in the mid 80’s Kenneth Copeland releasing a song, ‘Blow the Trumpet in Zion’ , which also mis-characterized this army as an army of God..the ‘Church’. It’s not, its God’s judgment!

  6. amen gabriel hallelujah

  7. Enough of Rick Joyner and other Elijah list favorites…they give me a headache.

Reading the stuff which spews from them gives me a headache too. Most of the time i can’t follow their thinking..

Dan, i agree with you, they are serious quotes; the couple posted are only the tip of the iceberg.

Wonder where this is all heading to?

  8. Deborah you are totally right,it is we who are believers
who need to guard our minds against deception.I
    wholeheartedly agree with you!

  9. I don’t see the Dominionism/Latter Rain thing panning out – it’s too unscriptural. I do see Emergentville infiltrating American evangelicalism big time and fitting right in with the RW’s P.E.A.C.E plan, the NAE/& current evangelicalism. Not only does the ’emergent’ community embrace inclusivism in religions, ‘evangelical’ leaders are weakening in their stance on Jesus being the only way. A one world apostate religion IS supported biblically.

  10. A one world apostate religion IS supported biblically.

    yes.

I see all these apostate ‘arms’…the emergent’s, Dominionists/Joel’s Army, etc etc…at some future time, morphing and coming together.

    But I don’t have a clue how…

  12. I can see them all joining one force too. I think it will be through mysticism.

Wayne Teasdale writes in Mysticism as the Crossing of Ultimate Boundaries A Theological Reflection

Interspirituality3 is a term to describe the breaking-down of the barriers that have separated the religions for millennia. It is also the crossing-over and the sharing in the spiritual, aesthetic, moral and psychological treasures that exist in the different traditions of spirituality living within the world religions. The deepest level of sharing is in and through one another’s mystical wisdom, whether teachings, insights, methods of spiritual practice, and their fruits, The mystical life, in its maturity, is characteristically, naturally, even organically interspiritual because of the inner freedom and liberation the mystical Journey ignites I in the depths of the person. It frees us from the obstacles within us that would hold us back from that generosity and willingness to partake from the mystical springs of other traditions. To drink this precious nectar requires openness and a capacity to assimilate the depth experience of these venerable traditions. More and more it is becoming common for individuals to cross over the frontiers of their own faith into the land of another or others. So much so is this the case that we can speak of this new millennial period as the Interspiritual Age. This development is momentous news for the human family because up until this point humankind has been divided, segregated into spiritual ghettos. Out of this separation has come so much misunderstanding and thousands of wars sparked by mutual suspicion, isolation, competition and hostility.

The above quote can be found here…

    And also he writes…

Global spirituality or Interspiritual wisdom has become possible because of a tangible sense of community among the religions and the real necessity for the religions to collaborate on the serious challenges to the world, notably the ecological crisis. Only spirituality can move us from within to change and become more responsible for the Earth and one another. Global spirituality is basically a consensus on the practical values, practices, and Insights found In all traditions of spirituality including moral life, deep nonviolence, solidarity with all life and with the Earth, spiritual practice and self-knowledge, simplicity, selfless service, and prophetic action. Mature spirituality also grants us a number of gifts or capacities that enhance our relations with others and our work: openness, presence, listening, being, seeing, spontaneity, and joy. Finally, spirituality is a resource for building a universal and enlightened civilization.

don’t underestimate the power of a seemingly dying world, both spiritually, economically, socially, politically and environmentally.

    Vee

  13. Mysticism…yes i could see that happening Vee.

Those who call themselves the ‘new mystics’ today, like Crowder and Stacey Campbell, may be fore-runners of this move into mysticism by the Church.

That’s new age teaching/ talk…or as many are seeing it, new/old paganism.

don’t underestimate the power of a seemingly dying world, both spiritually, economically, socially, politically and environmentally.

I agree with you–the more all these sectors appear to be falling or failing, the more people will become conditioned to grab hold of any ‘life-line’ ….

And sadly for the majority it will not be Christ.

  14. Hi all, lol this “Apostolic Reformation” is pure foolishness. For those who don’t read and study their bible, they will be deceived by these teachings. Some other names are “The Apostolic Reformation/Transition” or “The Great Transition” and is a CULT and teaches HERESY and very dangerous!

They really have it twisted. They base their premise on 3 Scriptures and they are 1Cor. 3:11 and Eph. 2:20; 4:11-12. By their interpretation anyone can clearly see that they don’t understand the Scriptures and their understanding of the scriptures is alligorical.

These false teachers claim that it is modern end time “apostles” who form the basis on which the foundation of this new Church will be built. Their statement doesn’t make sense either logically or theologically. The clear meaning of Paul’s statement in Ephesians 2:20 in the light of 1 Cor 3:10-11, is that the apostles and prophets were chosen by God to lay the foundation of the Church. They were not the basis on which that foundation was laid as they suppose. They have it in their minds that they are supposed to “lay the foundation” in believers.

As it relates to Eph 2:20, these verses clearly refer to the work and witness of the New Testament apostles and the Old and New Testament prophets, who pointed to Christ in what they said and wrote. Christ is the corner stone and the capstone of the building that is His Church for He is “the alpha and omega, the beginning and ending” and for anyone to claim to replace Him in any capacity is not only arrant nonsense but also arrogant heresy. Also, the words of these “Apostles” are to be taken as doctrine rather than Scripture. They teach that scripture is suppose to confirm what they say instead of them confirming what the scriptures say. They believe that Satan has tampered with the bible and therefore it is not “all true”, that is why God gave them the “blueprint” and the “whole” doctrine to “reveal the mystery of Christ”. Anyone who knows the bible knows that this is pure foolishness and they must be exposed!

  15. I don’t understand, I don’t understand, I don’t understand. If we can’t do what He commissioned us to do in His book – raise the dead, cast out demons, heal the sick – “Greater works than these you shall do” – then what is the point, honestly. He is the KING OF GLORY. He has seated us with Him IN HEAVENLY PLACES. Right now people! That’s why the DEAD GET UP. A gospel without power is NOT the gospel that Jesus preached. Why does anyone have an issue with this? It’s so obvious that God wants to pour out His GLORY, do not quench the Holy Spirit, do not reject the move of God! Ask Him. If you doubt, Ask Him. Don’t go by your own limited finite understanding – ask Him to show you. I challenge you. If you think this is not of God, that we are not called to be Sons and Daughters on this earth, then ask Him. Ask Jesus to show you. Holy Spirit open our eyes that we may see! It grieves me so deeply that people reject God, He is knocking at the door and they won’t let Him in. He is shut out in the cold. He is shut out of their churches, shut out of their hearts. Open the door, if it’s really ‘heresy’ as you say – TRUST HIM to reveal the truth to you. He can do that, He is big enough. Ask Jesus to show you. Come with an open humble spirit. By the words you judge you shall be judged. Don’t reject Him, He loves you, and HE is SO MUCH GREATER THAN THE CHURCH HAS YET DARED TO BELIEVE!!!!

Music from Broken Chords

Down in the human heart, crush'd by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness Chords that were broken will vibrate once more. From the Hymn "Rescue the Perishing" by Fanny J. Crosby

I Was a Teenage Dispensationalist

It's the end (of the end) of the world as we know it...
