Charisma: 21 Emerging Leaders of Tomorrow’s Church

Things have sure changed during my lifetime. The time was when you’d hear something like this;

“Praise God, this young preacher has surely received the call! When he preaches the Word, Holy Ghost conviction falls upon all those listening….etc etc etc…”

Folks, not in todays Church. Now we have the ‘leaders’ of tomorrow’s Church with qualifications such as “Independent Filmmaker”or “Marketplace Minister” (whatever the heck THAT is).

Charisma: 21 Emerging Leaders of Tomorrow’s Church; Meet the new generation of Spirit-empowered leaders out to change the world.

I don’t much care for what is being pushed out front today as ‘The’ Church. It looks, sounds, and ‘smells’ more like the Camp of antichrist to me…and if I live long enough to see The Church of Tomorrow, …well, I just cannot imagine…

“After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, ‘Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a habitation of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!'” (Revelation 18:1,2).

“And I heard another voice from heaven saying, ‘Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities'” (Revelation 18:4,5).

“Depart! Depart! Go out from there, touch no unclean thing; go out from the midst of her, be clean, you who bear the vessels of the LORD” (Isaiah 52:11).

  1. I have a copy of the magazine with the article. Some of the leaders envisioned the dominionist future of the church.

Here is a quote from Chuck Pierce on “Vision 2020, Twenty Leaders Envision the Church’s Future”.

    World at War

“A new governmental order will arise before 2020. The restored government of God will be key to establishing this new order, as the church will regain its power to legislate the heavens. Binding and loosing, forbidding and permitting will be transferred to the hands of future apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers and evangelists. God’s government within the church will cause it to lose the political spirit of Judas, align itself with heaven and represent the order of God.

There also will be war in the natural as governments of the world both realign and come against God’s covenant plan in the earth. This will be recognized as nations harden their hearts toward Israel and agree with the violation of God’s covenant boundaries with His firstborn nation. For a brief period in this new decade there will be a move of God among Muslims. Many will rebel against the violence that robs their freedom and accept the grace of God given through His Son.

As the war over financial control in the earth rages on, China will continue to rise in influence. The trends associated with capitalistic materialism through communist control that have developed in that nation will infiltrate many nations as these countries rearrange their financial structures.

Yet the real war in days ahead will come over how we, the church, gather, fellowship and exercise our kingdom authority. Mega-churches will not longer be the only recognized expression of kingdom success. With the information age changing the way we communicate and gather, gatherings will be more functional and focused on causes rather than territorial (local church) issues. Many denominations and spiritual structures will fade and lose their relevance by 2016. Prophetic accuracy will now mature, causing the church to have new prayer power and kingdom strategies.

Overall, a new triumphant reserve or remnant will arise and be willing to love not their lives unto death.”

I have been doing research on the NAR for many years. For a time, you had to read their books to understand their agenda. Finally, they are going out the closet!

    • Thank you soooo much for posting this. Its spooky to read Chuck Pierce’s “Vision 2020…”

“A new governmental order will arise before 2020. The restored government of God will be key to establishing this new order, as the church will regain its power to legislate the heavens.

Such arrogance! So Christians are going to “legislate the heavens”. What are these heretics planning to do, usurp God’s Throne!?!

Do you have a link to this or was it only included when purchasing the magazine? I’d like to post it…

    • InlovewithJesus, thanks indeed for posting this. I was also very much taken aback by Chuck’s declaration that the church would regain power to “legislate the heavens.” The online link to this article is here:

Chuck Pierce’s excerpt is the second-to-last, near the bottom of this article. I haven’t read the other excerpts, but I’m sure there are some real “winners” in there.

    • If you would like to read all of the visions for the future, here is the link:

Notice the Dominionism in Peter Wagner’s statement.

“We live in what is arguably the most exciting time to serve God in all of history. One of the pervasive characteristics of the season in which we find ourselves is change. In my opinion, the greatest and most encompassing change that has already begun and will probably continue and reach a crescendo by 2020 is changing from a church mindset to a kingdom mindset. Instead of preaching a gospel of salvation or a gospel of the church, we will be preaching the gospel of the kingdom. We will agree that the church is not only a congregation where believers gather once a week, but it is also a ministry embedded in the workplace where believers minister the other six days a week. We will take seriously the dominion mandate of seeing God’s will being done here on earth as it is in heaven. Our goal will be nothing less than the reformation of our society, and we will have sociological verification of significant progress.”

  2. Saints,

Jason Ma is one of the 21 emerging leaders of tomorrows church. He shared this:
“In Asia… faith is not so much what we believe but how we behave.”
Certainly real faith without fruit is worthless. Yet, you can love your neighbor all you want, if your not abiding in the doctrine of Christ your not saved from your sins (2 John 1:9) The attack of relativism is sweeping thorough the body of Christ. So many believers are lusting after the approval of man. Its like a drug high. Sadly, the future falling away of so many during the Great Tribulation will be the worst in its 2000 year history.

    • I noticed that quote too Paul, and thought the same thing. Its totally wrong.

      (thanks for pointing it out)

  3. While I believe I understand your point, I have to say, we need to walk in balance in this world, along the lines of this that Jesus taught:

Luk 16:9 And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous wealth, so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings.
Luk 16:10 “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.
Luk 16:11 If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches?
Luk 16:12 And if you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?
Luk 16:13 No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”
Luk 16:14 The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all these things, and they ridiculed him.
Luk 16:15 And he said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.
Luk 16:16 “The Law and the Prophets were until John; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and everyone forces his way into it.
Luk 16:17 But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the Law to become void.

There is nothing wrong with excellence in serving our neighbor and being enriched by that while living in this world. Whatever we find our hands to do we should do with all our hearts so as to bring glory to Our God, God in Heaven and the Holy Spirit here in this creation.

We indeed are in this world. We need to be careful to not be of this world guarding our steps while walking along in this world, devils real:

Pro 16:16 How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.
Pro 16:17 The highway of the upright turns aside from evil; whoever guards his way preserves his life.

  4. Two songs come to mind 🙂

Give me that old time religion …

Where could I go, seeking a refuge for my soul, needing a friend to help me in the end, where could I go but to the Lord!

  5. Well ,here’s someone who wouldn’t make the top 21
as well as all that is contained within the letter he couldn’t even remember who he baptized!

  6. Thank you to ALL you guys for highlighting just how far these poor demented fools are taking things. Sorry to be so blunt but that is exactly what they are. What christian in their right minds would stoop so far down the slippery slope…….I do pray that our Holy God will yet have mercy upon them.

  7. I noticed nothing in their article about their faithfulness to sound doctrine, to the task of world evangelism, to their personal holiness and prayer lives, and nothing about living to glorify Christ in all that they say or do (Philippians 1:20). How we need a true revival of repentance in the Church!
