WorldNetDaily’s Voodoo-Logic

If this wasn’t obviously a case of wishful “voodoo logic” it would be hilarious.

I’ve watched WND attempt to ‘prove’ the President is the antichrist, was illegitimate, or that his grand-mother “may” have had an affair and subsequently Obama was her child, etc etc etc…

Now Farah has posted an article using voodoo logic by which to ‘prove’ Obama’s “Fealty to Islam”…

I’m repeating myself, but must again say, shame, shame, shame on those Christian online ministries who still continue to treat Joseph Farah’s World Net Daily as a legitimate Christian news source; Especially those which operate under the banner of discernment and/or apologetic ministries. I’m afraid your own personal political beliefs have distorted your spiritual discernment.

  1. I can’t remember if I’ve said this before, but I grew up during the second cold war, and remember well people claiming that the then occupant of the Oval Office, one Ronald Wilson Reagan (note the three six letter names) was the antichrist and armageddon (nuclear war) was imminent. They were wrong, period, and everyone else who’s suggested a possible antichrist has also been wrong. I’m sure that history will prove Joseph Farah wrong. The only reason they do it is, as always, to make money. PJ, I agree completely with your comments about him.

    • The only reason they do it is, as always, to make money

In most instances i believe you’re right. Sad isn’t it? In the case of WND its definitely money.

Maybe i shouldn’t be, but im constantly appalled at the number of well-known Christian ministries…many of them discernment, who link to articles at WND, promoting them as legitimate and ‘truth’.

Its caused me to question these ministries in the past year…

  2. You talk about discernment and apologetics, but it is THIS website that is bearing false witness against me and my news organization.

You accuse me and WND of saying things we’ve never said. Apparently you are in need of some discernment — and some ethics.

    • You accuse me and WND of saying things we’ve never said

Not so. Any and every post here concerning your organization quotes either directly from the articles posted on your website, and/or provides the links. My hope is by seeing the quotes posted here you come to realize just how ridiculously mean-spirited, unChrist-like, and deceptive many of your articles are.

I’m glad you stopped by for i have something to say:

As one who use to read your website for news, your website has, in the last 2 years, become a carbon-copy of what you USE to write and speak out against.

During the Bush presidency you slammed the extreme left wing political groups for the lies and disparaging nasty remarks and unfounded accusations against the President of the United States–and rightly so.

Now, you are no better then they were for you do the same thing concerning the present man who occupies the highest office in this country.

Being free to disagree with a Presidents policies is the ‘American way’…its why we vote every 4 years. But to disparage or show open contempt for the office and the person/one placed there by God, is sin.

“…the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of men.” Daniel 4:17

” He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning” Daniel 2:21

“Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. For he is God’s servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God’s servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.” Romans 13:1-7

Do you really believe it pleases God that you and your staff go on witch hunts and help spread such nonsense concerning the president, such as mentioned above, (was he illegitimate, your speculative smear piece, “Obama mama: 6 lost months”, etc)?

Sir you claim to be a Christian. My advice is start conducting your website like its ran by one. For right now, no one visiting it would know it by the ‘ugly’, speculative, (conspiratorial and fear-mongering) articles you allow to be posted. Like many Christians who have fallen into bed with the extreme political right in this country, you have lost your witness (for Christ).

You have forgotten our goal. It is not external reform but “Internal Regeneration”.
