CNN: Egypt’s New President to Pick Woman, Christian VPs

Interesting news…

Cairo (CNN) — Egypt’s first democratically elected president, Mohamed Morsi, will appoint a woman as one of his vice presidents and a Christian as another, his policy adviser told CNN.

“For the first time in Egyptian history — not just modern but in all Egyptian history — a woman will take that position,” Ahmed Deif told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour on Monday. “And it’s not just a vice president who will represent a certain agenda and sect, but a vice president who is powerful and empowered and will be taking care of critical advising within the presidential Cabinet.”

Though Morsi had previously argued for banning women from the presidency, he said before the election that as president he would stand for women’s rights. “The role of women in Egyptian society is clear,” Morsi told CNN weeks before the runoff election. “Women’s rights are equal to men. Women have complete rights, just like men. There shouldn’t be any kind of distinction between Egyptians except that … based on the constitution and the law.”

The Islamist figure, a Muslim Brotherhood leader, also promised to safeguard the rights of minorities.

  1. Geeesh, and wouldn’t you know it, it had to be a “woman”! 🙂

Needless to say, I will say it anyway, the world is heading headlong into a wall that cannot change at break neck speeds. And when the world hits this wall her neck will break!:::>

1Co 15:24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.
1Co 15:25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
1Co 15:26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

Eph 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
Eph 1:8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight
Eph 1:9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ
Eph 1:10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

Jesus is. Jesus is returning to redeem His Bride.

The way to that altar is no rose pedal strune pathway.

This is war and this is a war with an outcome! There are evil forces both angelic and human that are resisting this event from happening and in fact are allowed to attack us to try to derail us from hastening the return of the Lord!

When I contemplate what the Apostle is revealing in 1 Corinthians 15 and “who” will be destroyed (1 Cor. 15:24) and “who” God uses and “how” this destruction comes about, I find it quite silly some of the narratives that people spin off about the end of the world coming to pass.

We are as the Bible teaches we are.

Consider “what” happens and “how” it happens once we find out or realize our true place in Christ in the earth and start effecting the end of the world?

Eph 3:8 To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
Eph 3:9 and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things,
Eph 3:10 so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
Eph 3:11 This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord,
Eph 3:12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.

Here we learn that it is the Church “who” manifests the manifold wisdom of God to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.

How does one get to this level of maturity in Christ to do that?

The Apostle says it like this, here:

Php 3:20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
Php 3:21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

Setting aside the debate about “who” is the Elect functioning fully in the world today and “who” is not, here we see that the Church’s citizenship first and foremost is in heaven and Christ from there is transforming His Bride to like Him in His Eternal Glory here on earth as She is in Heaven there. Maybe that’s why He teaches us that when we pray we should pray “Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on earth …“?

Also notice that that power of Christ enables Him to subject “all” things to Himself. We see that God has given to Jesus the power to “destroy” all rulers and authorities and powers and to transform the lives of His Elect!

Consider these two revealed “eternal purposes” about the Church Christ is presently transforming to be like His glorious Body found written about from the book of the Revelation to John:

Rev 1:6 and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Rev 8:3 And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer, and he was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne,
Rev 8:4 and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel.
Rev 8:5 Then the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth, and there were peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.

Consider that the Church is a kingdom of priests to Christ’s God and Father; and that glory and dominion belongs to Him!

Also, further consider “what” follows the Church’s prayers after they pray. The Angel, it seems to be saying, is “empowered” by the prayers of the Saints so that he is able to take the censer and fill it with the fire from the altar and mix the fire with the incense (the prayers of the Saints) and throw this fire down onto the earth!

Where is this spiritual warfare conducted? In heaven or on earth?

In our closets on earth when filled with the Word of God, perhaps?

That’s why I think we ought to get back to the fundamental basics of the Faith once delivered to the Saints as we see Luke wrote about the very first Apostles and brethren full of Faith did spending our time in this corporate closet you might say like they did back then when they were alive on the earth?

Act 1:14 All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.

Why do you suppose these Christians were “devoting themselves” to prayer in one accord not two or three or four?

Peter leaves us with some clarity on that score when we consider what he writes, here in the following verses from 2 Peter 3, and it is this that I say we should all be majoring on these days instead of all the other things that seems to distract us from this one eternal purpose of the Church, the Eternal Glory in Christ on earth as His Eternal Glory is in Heaven, things that are drawing our attention away from it:

2Pe 3:11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!

Do you see the connection between the “fire of the altar” and the heavenly bodies melting and why? I see the connection with all that and what the Apostle was pointing too in Ephesians 3.

It seems the earliest Church members majored on praying to God something similar or exactly as we read about here:

Psa 149:6 Let the high praises of God be in their throats and two-edged swords in their hands,
Psa 149:7 to execute vengeance on the nations and punishments on the peoples,
Psa 149:8 to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron,
Psa 149:9 to execute on them the judgment written! This is honor for all his godly ones. Praise the LORD!

  2. He has also said: ” Our Capital will be Jerusalem, Allah willing”

and : “The Koran is our constitution, the Prophet is our leader, jihad is our path and death in the name of Allah is our goal,”

and: “Today we can establish Sharia law because our nation will acquire well-being only with Islam and Sharia. The Muslim Brothers and the Freedom and Justice Party will be the conductors of these goals,”

Was he lying then or is he lying now?

  3. I was really encouraged to read this news. Of course, radical Islam has a history, and that history would lead one to make precisely the observations that Steve has made in his comment. At this point he *seems* to be acting pragmatically. IF he stays within the bounds of the democratic framework, I *think* things will work out OK. But if he is just *using* the democratic framework to get from point A to point B, all bets are off *and* Islamists are famous for using whatever means necessary to get what they *really* want … which is their way *all* the way. And if and when that end game on their part arrives, their will be no room any longer for either women or Christians, that much I can guarantee.

Music from Broken Chords

Down in the human heart, crush'd by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness Chords that were broken will vibrate once more. From the Hymn "Rescue the Perishing" by Fanny J. Crosby
