Interesting Week

Its been an interesting week for many folks in the US due to the heat, storms, and fires. Here, we’ve had periods of extreme heat and storms, with periodic loss of power. Today’s forecast is for more of the same with a high of 104 so I’m preparing for another loss of power due to over-loaded transformers. Yippee! Another day/night of reading by flashlight after stacking the frig/freezer with 7 pound bags of ice, if any store can be found open within a 20 mile radius. Ahaha!

But cooler weather  is expected to move in by Monday following Sunday’s storms…so I’ll not complain (too much).

Anyway, wanted to say I’m still here…just haven’t been able to get on-line much this week.

Hope anyone else who has been affected this week is doing ok.

  1. Wow, that’s hot weather. We have rain here, rain and more rain. I’m not affected but some parts of the UK are experiencing flooding. I’m sure when I was young the seasons were more settled!

    • Sorry it took me a few days to respond Jan, things were kind of hectic here.

This morning it was such a blessing (and relief!) to go out to the grocery store in the normal weather we’re experiencing now. Praise the Lord!!!

Yes i agree. People can deny the weather conditions have changed in recent years, but they’re wrong. When i was young people got out in the summer, but today people can’t stand getting out! Even children don’t go out to play like they use too. 😦

Music from Broken Chords

Down in the human heart, crush'd by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness Chords that were broken will vibrate once more. From the Hymn "Rescue the Perishing" by Fanny J. Crosby
