Embracing Lies but Still Orthodox?

My eldest son called me from the road this week (he’s a long-distance trucker), and we found ourselves discussing how common place it has become to not only publicly lie but how easily folks today accept lies. And that includes Christians as both perpetrators and willing accepters. If you’re like me you’ve always known satan is a liar and the father of lies. And for this reason alone the world’s spokesmen cannot be trusted to always be truthful. But brethren, I must admit it has become very disconcerting over the last few years to realize neither can those in the public arena, who claim to be Christians, be trusted to tell the truth. To be honest, I actually trust the second group even less then the first!  I feel ashamed to admit that, but its nevertheless a fact.

Anyway,

  1. The book is so error filled it has been dropped by the publisher. Still, it may become a valuable collector’s item.
