Pat Robertson vs. the Spirit of Adoption

After reading this my only response was a feeling of deep sadness and pity for Pat Robertson.

In a recent broadcast of The 700 Club, a woman sent in a question about a man who wouldn’t marry her because she has children who were adopted internationally. If they were her “own” biological children, he would have no problem, she said. But because they were adopted, he saw too much risk.

Host Pat Robertson’s female co-host bristled and said he was acting like a “dog.” Robertson disagreed. He said the man “didn’t want to take on a United Nations,” and that, after all, you never know about adopted children; they might have brain damage and “grow up weird.”

  1. Nothing about Pat Robertson or his entertainment/political/religious show represents Jesus. This is just another example of a widespread practice of buying airtime so someone can open their mouths and spout off nonsense. Mr. Robertson has a long history of making absurd remarks that are detrimental to the cause of Christ, as well as furrowed brow visions of someone’s elbow being healed. He has made tens of millions of dollars from such spiritual thespianism.

  2. To think that this is man ran for president and could shake the stick of the ‘Moral Majority’ and make the corrupt politicos in Washington tremble. Now he is merely a clown.

It seems the devils of Self-Righteousness tend to devour their offspring and leave them feeble minded and blind.

Music from Broken Chords

Down in the human heart, crush'd by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness Chords that were broken will vibrate once more. From the Hymn "Rescue the Perishing" by Fanny J. Crosby
