CBN: Prayer Moved Storm Away From RNC

Been waiting for this all day, though CBN wasn’t my first pick. I thought for sure Cindy Jacobs would be the first one out of the gate.

Today on the 700 Club, Christian Broadcasting Network correspondent Paul Strand spoke to Jesten Peters of Keys of Authority Ministries who said that her organization’s prayer efforts helped steer Tropical Storm Isaac away from Tampa in order to protect the Republican National Convention.

But while Peters and CBN celebrated, Isaac is now heading to Louisiana and Mississippi with potential devastating consequences.

  1. How can a hurricane land on where the “righteous” have gathered? As for the the people of Gulf not special enough!

  2. Nope, i guess those in the path of the storm are not special.😦

Here’s a quote from Romney campaign co-chair and former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu as said on Fox News,

“we’ll keep hoping that Isaac moves as far west as he can.”

Now that the storm has moved west — and is on the same trajectory as Hurricane Katrina, the storm that devastated New Orleans in 2005 — Sununu complained on Fox News today that the media is “obsessed with mother nature” and is unfairly covering the storm instead of the convention:

SUNUNU: We aren’t talking about jobs. It’s the media that is obsessed with mother nature. This is a jobs campaign. 8.3 unemployment, 25 million Americans underemployed or unemployed, and college graduates, half of them can’t find decent jobs. But each of the last four years, it is jobs.

KILMEADE: But you have to admit for the last week it is Medicare, and we’ve been talking a lot about that. No one can help if there is a storm coming. We’ve got to talk that.

SUNUNU: But it is jobs, Governor Romney is the guy to fix the job’s program.

When politicians publicly proclaim they care more about a political convention then their fellow Americans potential loss of homes and even lives, we can honestly say we are witnessing a very sad “rotten” season in the history of America.

This is an era which this nation may never bounce back from.

  3. When politics and dominion error collide. To assign divine motive to natural disasters is the height of self promotion and spreads fear instead of compassion.

Music from Broken Chords

Down in the human heart, crush'd by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness Chords that were broken will vibrate once more. From the Hymn "Rescue the Perishing" by Fanny J. Crosby
