The relentless pursuit to discredit God’s Word

Glad I took a couple day’s break from the computer. It temporarily spared me from the ridiculous “breaking” news story of Jesus having a wife.  I haven’t went through my feeds yet to see what fellow bloggers have written about this but did receive Albert Mohler’s words on the topic, and will say I agree; This is sensationalism masquerading as scholarship.

This is sensationalism masquerading as scholarship. One British newspaper notes that the claims about a married Jesus seem more worthy of fans of Dan Brown’s fictional work, The Da Vinci Code, than “real-life Harvard professors.”

It shouldn’t come as any surprise that satan continues his relentless pursuit to discredit God’s Word and His Son. Amen? Amen.

“Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar.”  (Romans 3:4)

“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”  (Numbers 23:19)

“[I]t is impossible for God to lie.” (Hebrews 6:18

  1. Jesus does have a wife, and we should be looking forward to our wedding day!

  2. It happens every year close to Easter/Christmas. There is always some discovery!Last year was it not the Gospel of Judas. And the year before that the supposed burial site of Jesus. Man running hard away from God will always discover some ungodly papyrus somewhere!

    • Yes it sure does. With the Christmas holidays coming up, there’s sure to be more of this type of nonsense on the horizon.

Music from Broken Chords

Down in the human heart, crush'd by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness Chords that were broken will vibrate once more. From the Hymn "Rescue the Perishing" by Fanny J. Crosby
