Two days before the election, and it’s time for desperate measures

Living near the Ohio/KY boarder, and sharing the same cable provider which serves both northern KY and southern Ohio, I’ve caught some of the political TV ads which have been bombarding parts of Ohio the past month, from both parties. A few were interesting, but many more were just boring.

But thankfully I’ve been spared the ads hitting the airwaves father north like in Columbus and Cleveland. Our local news has reported the sheer volume of TV ads has been amazing.

I’m sure Ohioans will be extremely thankful once Tuesday has come and gone.🙂

But the reason for this post is to share that my poor neighbors father north are having to endure at least one ad in the closing days, which is plain silly. While it may be true that desperate times call for desperate measures, this takes the cake!

  1. It’s more than a little amazing that EVERY post on this blog that I have seen criticizes those on the right. Why don’t you just admit that you are on the left, and be done with it? Saying you’re in the “middle” is belied by your constant harping on those Christians who identify themselves with the right. How about some criticism of the murder of MILLIONS of unborn babies, propagated by those on the left? Where is your sense of outrage over that?

    • There is a very simple reason why you’ll see many posts criticizing the right Scott: the Church in America decided back in the 1980’s to embrace it and become spokesmen for the ‘right’.

Bottom line is its what concerns the Church. Especially the branch known as evangelicals.

The extreme right in this country hitched their wagon to the Church (and vice versa) to the detriment of the Gospel decades ago. As one who willingly ‘rode in that wagon’ for years before coming to my senses, i feel a deep obligation now to point out how it has resulted in the Church participating in idolatry.

You’re not the first person to question my posts or the motives for putting any one of them up, and won’t be the last, but it doesn’t matter: I’ll continue obeying God.

      And there you are…🙂

  2. Lincoln freed the slaves but Washington owned them. I’m declaring it a tie!

Music from Broken Chords

Down in the human heart, crush'd by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness Chords that were broken will vibrate once more. From the Hymn "Rescue the Perishing" by Fanny J. Crosby
