The flu…

Please accept my apology if you’ve had a comment in moderation the last few days. I’ve been pretty sick.

Its still a mystery how I could have gotten the flu because I received the shot a few months ago, but according to the doctor there is more then one strain of the illness being spread around in our area.

Anyway folks, I’m still very weak so it may be another day or two before I get back.

love you all…and God bless

  1. Oh sorry to hear that – hope you get well soon. Just when you thought you didn’t need Roboy!

  2. PJ

I don’t suppose you struggle with doubt being sick even though salvation from The Lord means “a healer heals”?

Not to worry PJ thinking somehow you failed the Lord seeing the great Apostle who saw many varied and wonderful healings wrote Timothy this : 2 Timothy 4:20 Erastus remained at Corinth, and I left Trophimus, who was ill, at Miletus.

Also keep in mind The Lord Himself left many sick and ill with diseases!

At the pool of Bethesda there were many sick yet Jesus healed just one man!

Also Peter and John healed the crippled beggar having been place there at the entrance of the Temple 40 years. Jesus surely ignored him many times going by him?

Anyway just sending you prayers and encouragement!

    Be healed!

In the name of Jesus Christ The Lord, amen!!!

  3. Shouldn’t this post be filed in the “Church Infected” section? (wink) Feel better, pj.

  4. Maybe that;s why? The flu shot protects against last year’s flu.

  5. May you feel His sweet presence in your weakness Pj. How wonderful that HE IS our strength and joy at times like this. Our love for you carries our prayers for your full restoration but please don’t rush it, things to do can wait…….including us🙂

  6. Thank you all for the prayers and good wishes….they were and are very much appreciated.

Must be age because this sickness has sure taken a toll and a long time to get over. Last Sunday i came close to calling one of my kids to come take me to the hospital, after not being able to keep even water down for over 24 hours, but i started feeling a little better after deciding instead to get one of them to bring me some Gatorade and was able to keep that down.

On the bright side, i’m sure to have dropped a few pounds🙂

Yes you’re advice is good Sylvia…about rushing it. I’ve done that once already only to find it was mistake. The darn bug wasn’t gone, but was playing “possum”

I’m eating “bird food” for now, crackers toast etc. So thats good! Maybe i’ll be ready to tackle regular food by the weekend.

God bless you all and thanks again for the prayers….im here so they worked!

Music from Broken Chords

Down in the human heart, crush'd by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness Chords that were broken will vibrate once more. From the Hymn "Rescue the Perishing" by Fanny J. Crosby
