What would we do without David Barton?

Aren’t we stupid sheep blessed to have folks like David Barton to remind us of all the important truths omitted in God’s Word?

Here I’ve sat in my pool of ignorance for over 32 years thinking Jesus meant what he said when telling Nicodemus, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God” (John 3:5), when in fact what Jesus really meant to say was, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit (and abstains from drinking all Starbucks beverages), he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

  1. Wow, how can someone “destroy marriage”? If that were the case I would think the overwhelming amount of petty divorces that have happened over the years would have done it. Another example that for Barton, America has replaced Jesus as God’s Israel. Nothing but a cheap imitation. Sadly, too many are deceived into thinking themselves as possessing the mind of Christ with such teaching.

  2. The electric company, the water company, that his church uses also supplies those things to Starbucks as well as gay clubs. The gas company he uses for his car supports causes that are unbiblical. Boycotts are just a clever way to appear righteous while being self righteous.

    • Amen Henry…i attempted to point that out in a comment at the Christian Post concerning some other boycott a few months back. Needless to say my comment didn’t go over to well. As usual… 🙂

  3. I’m saddened by this. Jesus in the Gospels went and ate with publicans and sinners and now i can’t buy that breakfast muffin and a decaf half calf frothed coffee latte’ at Starbucks and sit down at one of their customer tables and start conversations about Jesus having dinner with publicans and sinners with publicans and sinners? Did I say I’m saddened by this?

  4. It is sad brother Michael. 😦

Music from Broken Chords

Down in the human heart, crush'd by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness Chords that were broken will vibrate once more. From the Hymn "Rescue the Perishing" by Fanny J. Crosby
