Staying true to the above scripture can be very difficult to do today

    These are, in fact, NOT the kind of things one finds on the Internet OR in the News these days, if such was ever the case, which I doubt. These are the kinds of things one finds ONLY in the scriptures and among the people of God as the fruit of the Spirit is manifest. Not the ever overflowing work of the flesh, mind you, but the increasingly rare work of the Spirit Himself in the people of His pasture. Even these days there is rest for the soul in the presence of Christ. (“Wherever two or three are gathered in my name … ).

      Operating a blog (or Christian board or forum) over a period of years can on occasion, overwhelm the soul. Its not the blog, board or forum itself, its researching and reading through (sometimes) trash and/or false teachings which can get to you if you’re not careful. That along with news items you feel are important enough to share with other Christian brothers and sisters, because it affects the body of Christ.

      Guess that’s why every longtime blogger and board/forum moderator i’ve ever come across takes occasional breaks away from it all.🙂
