Lord, Help me….

Listen, I know I shouldn’t be laughing, but honestly I can’t help myself! Maybe it’s because I’m familiar with a few of these types of elderly ‘ladies’ as I (now) live in a huge “over age 55”  residence and see it on a daily basis when I leave my apartment– you know, the one’s either on the far side of 60 or 70 who run around in shorts, mini-skirts, and halter-tops in the summer, and are made-up year-round for Halloween. We got-um here folks. But this takes the cake! Jan Crouch’s wig (third photo down) puts the old ladies I live with, to shame!

  1. “A time will come when instead of shepherds feeding the sheep, the church will have clowns entertaining the goats.” ~ C.H. Spurgeon

  2. “Paul and Jan Crouch founded the nonprofit network as the Trinity Broadcasting Systems in 1973 along with Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker, who later left to found their own platform.”

I always thought she looked like Tammy Faye Bakker. This explains a lot.

    • From what i recall Micey the Bakkers and Couch’s use to be very close…in fact, as you quoted, they started the actual network (TBN…though im not sure if it was called that then and it was still just local) together. There was some sort of falling out between the couples at some point in their working together. So yes, Jan and Tammy were very close at one time.

Music from Broken Chords

Down in the human heart, crush'd by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness Chords that were broken will vibrate once more. From the Hymn "Rescue the Perishing" by Fanny J. Crosby
