Israel and the US: Drawing up lines of allegiance

What’s this all about?

….tens of thousands of leaflets have recently been distributed to Jewish Americans, as well as to Israelis living in the United States, asking them to indicate where their allegiance would lie in the case of a crisis between the two countries. Almost incredibly, the leaflet was originally endorsed by representatives of Israel’s Foreign Ministry.

  1. In all candor, being of Native American descent, I wouldn’t read much into it. The natural man is against Christ. So I’d be more surprised if this sort of thing wasn’t happening!

I know it is a struggle to remain impartial whenever I’m encountering Native American issues. It is normal and to be expected whichever ethnicity?

It’s going to take the enabling power of The Lord to get us to respond as a citizen of Heaven.

Here is where I’m clinging these days:

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11 ESV)

    And

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. (Philippians 3:20, 21 ESV)

    And

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 5:10, 11 ESV)

    To God be the glory!

    • God bless you Michael, thank you so much for the scriptures.

Actually i didn’t know what this was about…if it was something common that countries do, to contact those originally from their nations who now live here, in order to ask them where their loyalties lie. If it is a common practice, its one i’d never heard of. Guess i could see it in a case of an impending war between the two nations in question, but this baffled me.

  2. Did you notice that the group behind this is funded by Sheldon Adelson who recently said the US should drop a nuke on Iran.

    • Yes i did catch that. He must have a lot of influence in Israel if its true Israel’s foreign ministry endorsed these being sent out.

Music from Broken Chords

Down in the human heart, crush'd by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness Chords that were broken will vibrate once more. From the Hymn "Rescue the Perishing" by Fanny J. Crosby
