Adam, Where Are You?

Our friend Adam came upon an old post from 2007 which included a few brief words and the lyrics (and link) to the song, “Adam, Where Are You?”

Hadn’t thought of this song in awhile…it was one of my favorites by Don Francisco. Thought to share it again tonight…maybe you’ve never heard it?

  1. Still brings me to tears…

  2. This is a powerful song indeed. I don’t remember hearing it before today, though I am familiar with Don Francisco. The song of his which I know the best is “He’s Alive,” written as if from the perspective of Peter. I should explore more of Don’s material, because both of these songs display a wonderful, God-given gift of writing powerful song lyrics.

    • He’s Alive! yes, that is the one he’s known for…i love it too. Usually i post here at the blog every year in celebration of “resurrection morning”.

Adam, i couldn’t tell you when this one first came out on Christian radio, but im guessing in the 80’s. It always touched me so deeply. Amen, Don Francisco has a talent for telling a powerful story with a song…this one, about original sin and how though the price has been paid, so many still walk around with fingers stuck in their ears, not accepting forgiveness and Jesus, breaks my heart.

  3. Awesome song. Thank you for this Sunday blessing.

    • Hi Cathy…you’re very welcome. Adam stumbling upon it from 07 was a blessing for me too. I love the message in this song so much. Though it always makes me cry…

Music from Broken Chords

Down in the human heart, crush'd by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness Chords that were broken will vibrate once more. From the Hymn "Rescue the Perishing" by Fanny J. Crosby
