This topic has been on my heart for months. And to be perfectly honest, I was afraid to touch it.
Why?
Because within many Christian circles today if anyone even tries to point out the obvious errors in this movement, they take the chance of being branded anti-semitic or into replacement theology. I know, because though no one has come right out to my face with either of these accusations, its been hinted at whenever I’ve attempted to discuss it. Or worse yet, if trying to point out the numerous errors in this, I’ve been ignored. Its as though everyone around me suddenly becomes deaf.
The fact of this alone–the unwilling-ness to discuss it, and the apparent deaf-ness which overcomes many, shows me right there, this is a dangerous movement…a deception.
Truth always will stand up under scrutiny.
The definition of being:
1. A close, careful examination or study.
2. Close observation; surveillance.
We are to examine all things…comparing any teaching to Scripture. To be as the Berean’s in Acts:
And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. 17:10,11
Anyway, last night after letting another day go by in which I shy-ed away from this topic, God led me to a ‘neighboring blog’ here on wordpress which had posted some good articles on this topic of Christian Zionism. Its dangers and the errors it contains. I’m going to post the link[s] to a couple of these posts. I pray that someone reads these.
Lay aside your preconceived ideas on this topic…especially those who are deep into studying end-time prophecy. Pray as you read through these asking God to point out the errors in this supposed Christian movement.

I know that you are aware of the few times i’ve tried to bring this topic up where we both ‘hang our hat’s’ …and how it seems to die on the vine every-time. No one but the Lord knows of the praying i’ve done on this subject of Christian Zionism, or the tears shed over wanting to make sure what i was seeing, was correct: that it is deception.
When the Spirit led me to the articles above linked to, i got many of my questions on this movement answered…or rather, confirmed.
Many students of last day prophecy Lee, are making an idol out of present day Israel. Instead of praying for those living there and witnessing to them with the Gospel, people like John Hagee are teaching [by words and actions] that the Jews living in Israel today, do not need Jesus to be saved.
They appear to me to be “Modern Day Galatians”…who are bewitched. Not to mention the hidden political agendas behind much of this.

I say amen…why are they?
there are many cause centered christians, supporting certain movement (example supporting a war or against a war, or environmentalism..) or certain pet doctrine, but not many Christ-centered christians.
Promoting Christ, is an offence to our human flesh and pride and involve self-denial, that is why it is not popular, I struggle with promoting Christ in my life too.
Thats a good point…’cause centered Christians’…who have forgotten our real cause.
What do all these movements and man-made causes accomplish if Christ is not at the center? nothing…
Thanking Jesus… for one who has been led to speak God’s own words and to help us to be Aware of that which we are to BEWARE.
The serpent is full Accusation these days if one does not agree with him.
What is said in this write up leads me to believe this is apart of the Strong Delusion of Apostasy… those who have Once Believed; yet are FALLING AWAY from the TRUTH.
Emotions are the Height of their Discernment… like a train falling off of it’s tracks… headlong down into the pit of the earth.
I think it would be good while denouncing Christian Zionism to put a disclaimer that say that you are not anti-Semitic, that you are against the eradication of Israel as a nation etc., as otherwise people would automatically lump you into that category (the diametric opposite of Zionism is anti-Semitism).

you make a good point…I guess my assumption was that if anyone clicked on the links provided [at soulrefuge] they would have read the post & my comment posted there. and realized I most definitely am not anti semitic…and am not a believer in replacement theology as well. But you’re correct…

Its such a touchy subject in most Christian circles, making sure one’s ‘T’s are crossed and ‘I’s dotted when speaking or writing about it, is important.

Zionism was created by secular Jews. It is a political ideology, not a religious doctrine, and furthermore it is a hard left (socialist) political ideology. While I do believe that God gave the Jews the land of Israel forever and that we should defend Israel and the Jews, Christians need to stand back, pray, and apply scripture on the appropriate way to have dealings with this regard. We need to work out how to support Jews and Israel Biblically instead of following after false political movements.

Amen. Many Christians who are supportive of this movement and, are supporting it financially, probably do not understand that it is nothing more then a political ‘beast’. They are being deceived by the twisting [and misuse] of scripture by the Christian leaders-ship today, behind this, into thinking they are obeying God’s Word by placing their support behind this movement.
Another aspect of this, is it is bringing about even greater division within the body of Christ at a time when we are being battled on many other ‘fronts’ as well…
Only recently i’ve read of once solid bible based ministries [and ministers] falling in line behind this movement, speaking out in anger at other ministers who refuse, whom they once stood together with on the Truth.
